Unlike campus center, there’s hardly ever a wait here, at least from my experiences. They’re only open from 12−2pm for lunch to the public, and I believe dinner is closed off only to athletes. I’ve heard to avoid coming around 12pm and I’m usually there around 1pm. Not too many people know about this mysterious dining hall ~ I’m sad I just recently found out about this place, but this is my now weekly spot to grab lunch with my friend! Also, they have to-go boxes here and it’s extremely convenient especially because they have an area where you can get different sauces. Now onto the food, you can do a salad bar + soup + fruit + yogurt all for just ~$ 7. It’s AYCE but honestly one serving of each is way more than enough. I was stuffed and I couldn’t even finish what I got… overestimated myself. They also have hot food, which is anywhere from $ 9 – 11, but definitely worth it. I’ve seen fish and steak here so far, and they’re all delicious, yet you can taste how healthy it is. They also have chicken tenders and quesadillas daily, chicken tenders + fries and a drink is about ~$ 7.50, I got quesadillas with guac and chicken for ~$ 8. Basically everything here is really worth it, and way better than anything they have at campus center. Not to mention, the service here is amazing. They constantly come around the room and take your plates away. GREATYUMMYCHEAPHEALTHYPLACE!

HIDDENGEM! So glad my friend introduced this place to me because it’s healthy and cheaper than what they sell at Seed’s and Lemonade. They have stuff at the same price as a salmon at Seed’s(they sell grilled fish and steak) but you can also choose to get a sandwich, chicken tenders, or unlimited soup and salad for less! The soup and salad is probably the best deal especially on Fridays because it’s clam chowder YUUUM. There’s also fruits at the end of you like! I’ve also tried the steak which is super yummy. Basically, I’m never disappointed when I eat here. It’s pretty hard to find but its close to the swimming pool! It’s also open only from 12 – 2 but that’s perfect if you have an hour lunch break between those times. Must try!!!

Galen Dining Hall is the place to see and be seen for all of the USC Athletic Department Staff, Faculty and Students. The food is a bit high in quality than many of the other locations on campus and I think that’s because the athletes eat here. Good service and a fun atmosphere.

I keep waiting to see Reggie Bush’s Heisman sitting on the mantle. Oh wait, he had to give that back. ahahahahahah Actually I’m really waiting to be served lunch by Matt Leinart since he hasn’t played football in almost a decade. Dude needs a job doesn’t he?

Since University Village is under construction, my weekly outing for lunch has moved to Galen Dining Hall. The lunch rush around 12 is painfully unbearable, so we always try to make it there 15 min before. The salad bar is quite fresh. It is self-served, and given the option of dine in with china and silverware, or take out with box and cup for soup. $ 6.99 for a healthy hearty lunch, not bad at all. The food is always fresh and clean. Booth are comfy and spacious. Outdoor seating area is furnished with couches and spreaded out for comfy and privacy. It is a treaty place for a good lunch break.
