Super great selection Its kinda fun lifting hundreds of heavy LOOKING books — haha The Desk sets are the best in town and everyone is so pleasant to work with. The inventory is always growing — They also have a great selection of cool generic/cleared office certificates!

The Faux Library is not a library. Or even a fake library. It tends to lean on contradiction. But, the Faux Library IS known to us Film Industry Art Department(Set Dressers) as the prop house with the fake books. Anyone who has carried boxes of books up stairs and down long hallways to get to a far-off set, in a way-out location, knows how«key» fake books are. Faux Library specializes in books that are styrofoam/paper mache-type books with a hard cover to give the look of vintage books. They are a prop house who rents their genius to productions such as TV, movies, music videos, and commercials. They also have a large selection of real books that can get very specific: down to the rare art books, and collections of National Geographic and Time Life magazines; and also provide numerous book ends with much details and chotchkies like paperweights and small pieces. Faux Library also carries desks and bookshelves, and furniture which fits into the world of books and writing. I have been using Faux Library for many years. When we need 10 – 15 feet of Hardcover books from the early 19th century, Faux Library is just about the only place that will serve your purpose. It is a prop house by trade which deals with rentals from the motion picture industry, so don’t expect to just walk-in, however. Being the only one of its kind(fake book rental house), it is definitely the best. Faux Library is also a very friendly establishment and offer us(set dressers) t-shirts and hoodies, depending on supply in stock; but they still try to make sure they have some sort of self-promotion involved. They are also one of the best prop houses as far as orders being ready for pick-up and they have very thorough paperwork. Faux Library is a very well-read business, indeed(hahaha).
