I picked up lunch here and it was DELICIOUS! I haven’t been inside, I went to the BBQ in the back, so I can not speak to the cleanliness as others have. It’s pretty popular. I order the chicken, green rice, and vegetables. It was one of the most enjoyable lunches I’ve had in a while. I was more than satisfied. And the quantity and price are a great deal! You could definitely save it for tomorrow or split with someone. Thank you!

The only thing is they do not give raw onions with the food And also their white rice is not cooked all the way through . And also they fish has lots of skin residue and most of the time you do not get good prices of fish. But it does have good seasoning.

I always go to the food stand in the back alley of the market. They have kebabs and all kinds of nice Mediterranean food. I usually go with the beef Koobideh. Great value here!

It’s NOT Kosher. They say they are, but they are not. Very naughty. To be kosher, it’s not enough to say you are, you need to have supervision. They do not, they admit it, but they still say they are kosher. This is very wrong and deceitful. So, it’s like going to a restaurant and saying you’re a vegetarian and they give you meat and say that it’s vegan tofu. Wrong in so many ways. Even worse, when we discovered they were not kosher, he did not refund the price of food we bought and gave it away because we do not eat non-kosher food. Very naughty. Change your name, Eliass, or shut down. You are messing with the Almighty when lie about kashrut.

Delicious selection of kabobs and raw meat for BBQ! The price is very cheap and the quality is amazing! You can also buy raw bbq meats and head home to make your own BBQ instead of ready made food. They started to have sushi and I hear its very good but havent had the chance to try it myself yet.

Super bomb kosher! The only bad thing is that they serve on Sundays.

I love the food here. The quality of kosher meat is top notch. No place to sit so it is a bit odd. The customer service isnt the greatest. the register guy kept murdering my name with a thick iranian/jewish accent. I even have a jewish name! I digress. Even though the ambivance wasnt the most pleasant, i will be back to pick up my beef barg next week. Shalom and happy hunting.

This place is super cheap and you get a ton of food. For the people putting down this place, I don’t know if you’ve tried the surrounding restaurants but most have much lower quality ingredients. Sure it’s in the back of a building but is a food truck any better? I’ve never had an issue with cleanliness, this place tastes great and you can’t beat the price. Parking in the alley behind it is easy, and the service is quick. This is akin to ordering from a food truck except they don’t charge more than a restaurant like most trendy food trucks, and they have never had a cleanliness problem that I saw.

First, 3 stars is mostly because I’m a vegetarian(well pescatarian). After the owner of Brenco’s(the Jewish bookstore a couple doors down) told my husband and I about this place we figured we’d eventually check it out. Today was that day. After running errands my husband, who prefers to not eat out, says, «I wish there was a cheap place to get a decent lunch around us». I remembered that we were told the kabob place in the alley BEHIND Brenco’s served large meals for between $ 6 and $ 10. And so, off we were to finally try this little rinky dink, walk up window, no place to sit, basically an add on extension/shack to the meat market. We walked up to the window, peeked in and saw and smelled open coals and roasting meat and veggies and fish. Now, I haven’t eaten proper meat for over 20 years(minus some kosher matzah ball soup in chicken broth now and again) but I still love the smell of a good BBQ. The plates come with the same sides. Husband got the beef kabob @ $ 8. I got the salmon kabob @ $ 8 well done. My fish was very tasty. I don’t often get BBQ fish. I got the«green» rice with it which has herbs and I think fava beans. DELICIOUS but the portion was big enough to feed a family of four. The meal also came with a ton of lavash bread cut into perfectly sized squares, Israeli salad that was pretty not-fresh, and a skewer of grilled vegetables(1 whole tomato, 1 whole mushroom, about a half of an onion and a few bell pepper pieces), and a can of soda! A great deal! Overall a great deal! Only complaint? Would love more fish or hey, tofu! Also, Israeli salad was eh.

Well … even though I am persian and the little lady is a jew, we have managed somehow to peacefully co-exist. Let that be a lesson to you INFIDELS! Hardee har … timely god’s warriors humor aside … let me tell you how I found out about it. The nose knows. The other day I had to go to Radio Shack next door and smelled this unbelievable waft of yumbo-ness. Today I went back to Radio Shack to return the thing I bought and that smell was beckoning again. I said oh hell nah i got to go! It’s true … there is a little shack in the back held together with spit and glue and two guys toiling inside over a hot open charcoal burner facing a rank parking lot/alley. But when I saw the amount of FOOD i got for SIXDOLLARS? I said SIXDOLLAH? FOREEEAL? Check this out. I got one big beef koobideh, a ton of delicious herbed rice, a full skewer of grilled vegetables, a bottle of water, 6 pieces of lavash, and ONEMOTHERFUCKINSALAD. FOSIXDOLLAHBEEYOTCH! I know the dollar is weak but damn. It’s like straight up 1989 in this mug. I will definitely be having my baby’s Shabbat catered by these fools.

at one point last summer this place had a «C» rating. that’s kind of scary. although, now they have a «B» rating. in the back of the store they have a small set up with a grill where you can order ready kabobs or koubideh. they are served with a whole grilled tomato and like half a grilled onion. along with about half a lavash and a little ziplock of green herbs. [not sure exactly what kind of fresh herbs though. some of it is basil.] the kabobs [grilled meats– chicken breast, ground chicken, beef, ground beef]] here are extremely popular within the persian community. they used to only sell ready meat on sundays, but it’s been in such a demand that they turned it into a little bbq’ing shack in the back of the store. i’ve never purchased raw meat here, and i don’t plan on it. it’s not the cleanest place. i’ve ordered a kabob lunch plate twice though and it was pretty decent. that’s what my rating is regarding. every type of skewer is heavily seasoned with saffron and italian parsley. there’s really no difference between the chicken and beef, flavor wise. you can pick up other things in the store, like fresh lavash or pita bread. or an ice cold yogurt drink. don’t worry, they have sodas and water as well. + inexpensive + nice owner — borderline creepy restroom — difficult parking situation [street parking off pico robertson intersection]
