I can attest that ElaBrew truly is a hidden neighborhood gem. The staff is always so pleasant and the coffee is true quality. Love their little snack/sandwich pastries. The place always has an open table for me and the wifi connection is pretty speedy. Ray and Carolina know how to make a good espresso and are so friendly.

This is absolutely my favorite coffee shop in my neighborhood, and even with all the options in the area, I always end up wanting to come back here. The murals and custom furniture make for a very cool, utterly unique space(all inspired by The Magician tarot card), and I love that they keep the lighting low. They also make a delicious, strong cold brew! I can’t recommend Elabrew highly enough.

I was given a card for a free regular drink when I moved in to my new place so I stopped by and got a latte made with almond milk. I was actually excited to hear that they had so many different«milk» options and it was fantastic. I’ll definitely be back!

The term«hidden gem» gets thrown around a lot, but Elabrew is truly a hidden gem in DTLA. 28 reviews after 2 years in business. I’m honestly surprised they’re still in business, because the coffee shop is usually empty. The coffee is fantastic, and the barista is super friendly and knowledgable. Elabrew is pretty small with only a few tables and some very cool wall art. The tables in the back have these nifty LE desk lamps with different lighting modes. Elabrew is an awesome study spots if you manage to grab a table, which honestly isn’t hard to do. The wifi is solid, the coffee is top notch and reasonable priced, and it’s pretty quiet.

Took one sip of the cold brew and knew it had to be a part of my life. Ordered 20oz and here I am in my elevator going back to my place grinning because I know I have a dope coffee shop 200 feet away from my place.

Really good coffee. They use my favorite almond milk by Califia Farms. The space is really cool with great wall artwork, but it’s dark and could use some music. Great coffee, but could work on the vibe/atmosphere/friendliness.

Came by to get a Friday pick me up and was pleasantly surprised by this place. I ordered a pour over with beans from Nicaragua. I am still thinking about that smooth cup of coffee. It was perfect. I was def jonesing another cup on Saturday and was sad to find out they are closed on the weekends. Great place.

very very very COLDSERVICE. The space is pretty cool, its in a cool area and thats it. I went in yesterday for the first time with some friends and we were treated like total garbage. For a fairly new spot they really need to work on their service and social skills — a lot.

Real laid back coffee shop with plenty of quiet seating at the back with LE lighting that offers different modes of lighting of your choice. Cappuccino for $ 4, made just right, where you can actually taste a bit of bitterness of the beans. I believe this may be one of the few coffee shops in DTLA that opens till 6, whereas most places close at 4. Great service. Street parking.

TERRIBLE. Terrible idea. Terrible execution. Terrible location. Terrible coffee. Terrible service. TERRIBLE. Three reasons you should skip this place outright… 1. Spring for Coffee 2. The Classic 3. Verve All three far superior coffee shops within walking distance the owners of Terrible — I mean Elabrew Coffee should obtain internships and learn how it is done correctly from the«grounds» up. Womp… Womp… Womp…

Elabrew… I can’t say enough wonderful things about this place. I DREAM about this iced coffee. I drive out of my way from west hollywood to get this iced coffee. The staff is quirky and chatty, & I especially love that the layout is so conducive to sitting, reading, and being able to glance out the window to the always-entertaining 6th street DTLA scene. All in all, Elabrew is bringing back some real coffee shop charm to LA and I’m ever so appreciative. I’m moving around the corner and am anticipating spending an ungodly amount of time here. YEE!

Try the Kyoto Cold Brew and the Ginger Molasses cookie sandwich. They are AMAZING together. Staff were super friendly and helpful on my visit, space is clean and cozy. Being from out of town, I had a bunch of annoying questions and Josh was really nice and incredibly helpful. This place is a hidden gem!

Fantastic coffee, great spot to study with cool lighting, simple desk set up, with charging plug sockets. the barista is super chill and knows how to make his drinks. Wifi is strong, location is central. Definitely recommend this spot for dtla locals. Coz we know parking anywhere in central LA is a biaaachh

Elabrew is my favorite coffee spot in DTLA proper, and by a wide margin. One of the best-looking shops around, cool work by local artists all over the walls. Lots of space to work, with these really neat reading lamps at the tables and outlets galore. And the coffee? Damn. Beans from lots of harder-to-find roasters from all over the country featured here, and the baristas(Gabriel in particular) are all super rad and happy to answer any and all questions you might have. Pretty much perfect. Oh, and… get the Kyoto. Trust me.

Yet another new spot for coffee in DTLA. This is Elabrew’s second location and much closer to us eastsiders. It’s a cool space with a big window storefront and artistic murals inside. The seating area is a long and narrow room that’s dimly lit so it’s not great for reading or squinting at your laptop. Alex was helping me that day and made me an excellent CAPPUCCINO. I also peppered him with questions and he was super-friendly. Elabrew features coffees from Ritual Roasters(San Francisco, CA), Kuma Roasters(Seattle, WA) and Ceremony Roasters(Annapolis, MD). The only downside is parking and the smell of piss in this neighborhood.

Catching Elabrew Coffee at their new location right after they opened, pre-Yelp page, I had a very enjoyable experience with the coffee and meeting the people here. Along my adventures walking around Downtown Los Angeles, I came across Elabrew, and decided to stop by for their coffee. Delighted to see they had Ritual coffee, and surprised to find Ceremony Roasters — a roaster I haven’t seen anywhere in the Los Angeles area. The lady at the counter, Joy, was really nice, and even gave me a discount on my order. I appreciated the description she gave of Ceremony, as it was my first time having them. Glad to be able to approach the staff and just talk about coffee, different roasters, etc. Makes the experience that much more enjoyable! The place is a pretty narrow, elongated box within the confines of Downtown Los Angeles. Very interesting decals on the walls, with lots of character. There are small tables and seating in the back, yet it doesn’t seem like the place to sit down for long periods of time to do work. More of a gathering place, to sit with a friend and catch up, or met up with a coworker for business. I loved my capp using their Ceremony Roasters espresso. It was bright, and cut through the milk, yet staying smooth with every sip. The art was really well done by the barista, adding a very refreshing appearance to my drink. I am a fan of Elabrew. Yet another pocket of DTLA with a good coffee bar — so whenever I’m in the area next, I’ll be sure to stop by!
