El Latino Catering

El Latino Catering is, in my opinion, the best taco truck in L.A. My friend and I refer to it as «the green taco truck» and visit it almost daily for lunch. It is parked at the corner of Wilshire Blvd. & S. Coronado St on weekdays until about 4:30pm. Their tacos are $ 1 each and although vegetarian tacos are not on the menu, they make them special for us exactly how we want them! (unlike any other taco truck we’ve been to in L.A. that will not make a vege taco: S) They have all the fixings: beans, lettuce, onion, tomato, avocado, cilantro, cheese, radish, jalapeño, salsa, tapatío, and anything else you can think of putting on a taco. SO YUM! We’ve also tried the plátanos fritos (fried plantains) that come with beans & cheese, and sour cream. For $ 3.50, It’s a savory snack worth trying. The staff is friendly and I just love seeing that green truck when I round the corner from my place. If you’re in the Westlake area, pay them a visit, it will be so worth it!
