It was an absolute pleasure working with Irene. She really took the time to understand what we wanted and then took it to a whole new level. She provided ideas and links to sources that really helped us envision our dream nursery & then she brought that to life. It was a small space, but she made it work & surpassed our expectations while being very mindful of our budget. We could not be more pleased with the outcome of our nursery or our overall experience. I have been working with Irene at Designstiles for the last 5 years! She is a true professional with an amazing eye. She’s wonderful at al aspects of design, from moving around your own furniture, beautifully styling shelves, to major overhauls. No scope is too large or small. She has a great sense of color and her rooms are fresh and fun. Our family will continue working with Designstiles for many years to come.

As I sit here writing this review, I keep thinking to myself «How can I convey my experience of working with Irene?» And it’s simple: I absolutely LOVE working with Irene!
I have an incredibly busy work schedule and purchased my condo in March of 2015. I hired Irene the day after I closed escrow, and together we tackled the tasks of remodeling the entire 1600 sq foot space, selecting paint colors, tiles, carpeting, closet layouts, lighting options, and every finish you could think of. Irene was instrumental in giving me choices regarding paint colors and tile designs, she was diligent in taking trips to the tile suppliers prior to us meeting, narrowing down the choices to what she thought I would like, and then showing me the options. This is how she’s approached every piece of furniture and accent as well.
Without Irene, I would not have been able to select the pieces that I’ve already purchased. After a 4 month remodel, we started to select furniture pieces. Irene helped me be methodical – by focusing on the most important pieces initially, and then creating the space around those pieces. Working with her has been an absolute pleasure. When we first started working together, I showed Irene pictures of furniture styles that I liked. She helped me realize these styles and MUCH more. Every time I have a guest come over, they are awe-​struck by the design, they love the flow of the space, and they appreciate the style of every piece of furniture, lighting fixture, the finishes on my built-​ins and the flooring, walls, etc. She has helped me create my dream-​space. I know that sounds cheesy, but it is the absolute truth. I am a BIG fan of hers, and she’s been incredibly easy and pleasant and fun to work with.
Irene has taken trips with me to furniture stores, art galleries, stone yards, and even Home Goods. She has an eye for design that just oozes talent. She’s also styled my bar, helped me mount artwork, selected even the frames for the artwork. She has connections to talented and trustworthy furniture makers, carpenters, electricians, glass-​smiths, handymen, and upholsterers.
Irene is great at listening to your likes and dislikes, and giving you all the options that she feels fits your desires. There have been many times when I’ve written her back saying «OMG!!! This is PERFECT!!!” – that’s how excited I get about this stuff. Working with her has been great, and I’m excited to continue furnishing the bedrooms and outdoor spaces.

Irene is a true professional with an amazing eye for design and styling. She recently did my baby’s nursery and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Irene helps clients work around their budget without sacrificing style, is responsive, easy to work and communicate with, and helped pull together a space I truly love. We never had any budget or deadline issues and everything came together seamlessly. Her small touches really made a huge difference in the final result of the nursery.
I’ve also had the pleasure of being hired to photograph several of her design projects and I’m constantly in awe of how she manages to design spaces that perfectly reflect a client’s aesthetic and blend modern and traditional design elements.
I will definitely continue to hire Irene for future projects in my own space and highly recommend her for anyone needing to either make small updates or complete remodels. She can do it all.

I have to say Irene was absolutely excellent! Anyone who can make both my husband and I happy with the results of our bedroom is a genius! My husband usually had little to no comment about interior décor, but when it came to our bedroom he was adamant that he didn’t think he could sleep in a frilly room. Irene was very skilled at identifying his likes and dislikes while keeping my own in mind. The result was a an elegant and sophisticated room with warm and masculine undertones and touches of elegance throughout. We love our Master Bedroom Retreat and I love Irene from designstiles. So much so, that we have subsequently used her services in two business ventures with fabulous results!

Irene has consulted on several projects for us & we could not be happier with her work. From beginning to end, she is a pleasure to work with and extremely professional. In addition, she has always kept the design within our budget without compromising on style.
She’s designed 2 beautiful nurseries for us, and I couldn’t have imagined a more fitting space for our son or daughter. Both projects exceeded our expectations. I especially love that our kids will be able to grow into their rooms; the spaces will transition well as they get older.
She also picked out paint & new tile when we needed to stage our town home for sale. She more than paid for herself in finding some very high end looking tile which was actually below our projected budget. Her choices were incredibly appealing to buyers & our town home sold in record time for our area. Our realtor said almost everyone commented on how beautiful the flooring we chose was.
Lastly, we’ve moved into a new home which is quite the fixer upper. She was wonderful to advise from the start to focus on just a couple of projects at a time so we could pace ourselves and stay within budget. So far we’ve done paint & flooring and it has absolutely transformed the space. She even searched extensively to find an eco-​flooring that was beautiful & affordable. We are looking forward to many more projects with her!

Last year, my husband and I bought our very first home. Having used most of our money on the down payment and other necessary appliances, we didn’t have a huge budget for decorating the place. In comes Irene of DesignStiles!
At our first consultation with Irene, we talked about what kind of feel we would like for our home and what our must-​haves and nice-​to-​haves were. We decided to focus on the living/​dining room area, which has an open concept. We used most of our existing furniture, which she moved in a different configuration than what we had originally (she really has quite the eye) and added some smaller furniture and accessories. We even did a DIY project with some dining chairs we already owned! She also helped me step outside of my comfort zone by painting our ceiling and now it’s my favorite part of our condo! Irene really helped make our house feel like a home.
Although we didn’t have a huge budget to play with, the results we saw made a world of difference in our home! Irene really took the time to listen to what we wanted and delivered results that surpassed our expectations.
