Del Taco

My husband and I LOVE Del Taco! And, having just moved to W.L.A., we were thrilled to live near this one. But — WORST DEL TACO EVER! The staff so obviously doesn’t give a shit about this biz, it’s customers… The customer service is soooooo bad, we’re never going back to this locale. If you go, expect a taco to take 30 minutes even if place empty, the fries to not even start cooking til all your other food is getting cold on counter… Too bad owner is so absent and doesn’t care about this. Poor Del corporate!

Staff ladies are doing what they can but this fucking lameass location only has 2 staff/​employees scheduled for the evening… dinner time. on Santa Monica Blvd in LA on a weeknight. Are you kidding me?! 4 people in front of me in line took literally 15 mins to order. Poor ladies back there feeing the pressure that wouldn’t be pressure if this Del taco or their branch manager could simple have one more person working. Cheap corporate fucking pieces of shit wasting my precious time. Thumbs way down. I’m a loyal Del taco fan and this makes them look like McDonald’s low rung fast food idiot assholes.

This is the only Del Taco that puts a miserly amount of meat into their tacos. It’s mostly lettuce. When I compained the manager, Veronica, had the audacity to weigh the portions in front of me. This is the worst Del Taco I have ever been to. I am never coming back here. I’ll go to the one in Culver City if I want Del Taco that badly. The kitchen staff should be ashamed of guarding what isn’t even theirs. Avoid this place!!! I’ve already complained to Corporate about this low behavior.

this has got to be the worst service I’ve ever experienced. not only was the cashier rude but there was only two orders. mine and the person ahead of me and I waited 25 minutes for my food and in the end I just walked out because I didn’t think it was going to take that long just to make two burritos. I am beyond irritated at how horrendous the service was. I would rather waste $ 4 than to ever wait that long for some shitty service. never coming here again.

I know it’s early/​late if you go in at 4:30 AM but the fact they forget several things that I ordered. please I rather go to another location

I am right here right now at this location inside the restaurant. I am so disgusted by the management tonight. I ordered my epic for dine in, First off They only have 7 tables all occupied bystanders (homeless) theres only one person who’s an actual customer occupying the table (They closed the extension in back 10 extra tables). 2^nd when i finally got my order they ran out of all sauce and salsa??? not even packets! Lastly after waiting 10minutes for someone to get up So i could have my turn to dine in. This one homeless person sleeping next to my table smells like URINE!. I feel bad already for her but. the management would at least have her sit in the back extension. THIS IS A RESTAURANT IS IT NOT? not a TOILET… i threw up when i got out!

I came in today ordered $ 10 worth of food pull out the only bill i had which was a $ 100 bill the cashier said she didnt have change so i had to leave just like i came with a empty stomach really its almost 6pm and you are going to tell me you dont have change for a $ 100

Best Shrimp Tacos in town! For a fast food chain — surprisingly. They are prepared and cooked so well. Service is pretty good too. Also — the restaurant is well maintained and CLEAN. Definitely will be back for my late night cravings lol

post 2 am eats… itll do. Chicken soft tacos for 99 cents. cant really beat that. dont know if id come here for a non «late night» meal. better than taco bell tho… friendly drive thru.

Spent fucking $ 20 on the veggie burritos, SPECIFICALLY asked for NO red sauce. Got home, saved them for breakfast … Woke up to find them full of red sauce. Every time I go my order is messed up, homeless people constantly harassing you when you’re there … The manager is really nice but I can’t move on from my order getting messed up literally every time I’m there. They always find some way to get it wrong. It’s extremely frustrating and usually I don’t come here unless friends want to. Won’t be coming back anymore. How does NO red sauce mean LOTS of red sauce to you guys!!!

Food is alright like any other del taco… but the place straight up smells like a fucking sewage due to a plumbing problem at the time.

The lit up sign said open 24 hours, and it was closed. There were people in there and they wouldn’t let us in… disappointing :(

Unilocal, you had to remind me of my horrible experience. I will rate just so people can be aware. The only reason I don’t give them one star is because you offer the same delicious food as any other Del Taco. If it wasn’t because of my chicken bowl and my tasty chicken taco you would have one start right now.
I went out of my way to look for a Del Taco because I had passed the one I usually go to. I wanted to grab something quick since I didn’t want to be late for work. This was the nearest Del Taco. I saw the big sign were it said Del Taco, but didn’t actually see it.
I drove passed it and went back. I noticed it was part of the little shopping center/​plaza. I drove in and noticed it is a one way parking lot. BEWARE: THEY HAVE SPIKES SO YOU MUST DRIVE THE RIGHT DIRECTION OR YOUR TIRES WILL POP. I know sometimes when it is a parking lot you might be sneaky and try to go in the other way, but please do not do that here.
Walked in and there was only couple in front of me. They ordered and then I ordered. I thought it was going to be quick since it was just them in front of me. I went real quick outside to see what else was around there since it was packed inside. No where to sit and even standing up was weird.
I thought was I came back in I was going to have my order ready. I came back in 5 minutes later and there was about 4 people standing in line ready to order. The ONLY cashier went to help the lady preparing the food at the back. There was also only one lady making the food.
It took them HALF AN HOUR to finally call up the couple that was in front of me. Then they started making my order. I noticed the people standing in line started to get frustrated. The 4^th person in line took off. I bit he will be glad he did it because who know how much longer he would of waited.
I finally got my order and apparently those 5 minutes I walked out other people had order. I was grabbing hot sauce and there was 3 other people waiting on there food after me. Cashier was still back there helping out, but I didn’t even know who to feel bad for. Her, me, the people waiting for food or the people waiting in line trying to get their order in.
This Del Taco is ridiculous. If it gets so packed I don’t understand why they don’t get more people to help out. Oh, and I almost forgot. The couple in front of me wanted to eat in, but the tables were all full. They have a back section with tables and no one was there. They asked if they can eat there and she said no. They told her that they wanted to eat there, but there was no tables so were else can they eat. She said as long as they stay on one side.
I was glad I was out of there. Hopefully, I will never again come back.

I went to this Del Taco to redeem my free Birthday shake coupon and to have lunch. Well after I placed my order AND they entered my coupon they say «Oh we don’t have shakes right now, the machine has been broken for awhile». And then they flung the coupon back at me (but since they processed it renders it useless to use anywhere else). This location is super slow, seems to run without a manager and has some pretty rude employees. Any decent place would have offered me a soda to compensate. Instead as there was a huge line (because they are so slow with only ONE employee running the register not because they are so good) I had to eat my lunch without any drink. I finally managed to get a cup for water. To top it off the food was not well made. Truly a terrible location. It literally turned me off of Del Taco (and I used to love it).

I have to say this is a pretty good Del Taco. They are fast, don’t make mistakes and the place is always clean. There is free parking and plenty of room inside. There are also a few other places if you want to restaurant hope as part of a party. I love the dollar menu and the chicken soft tacos. I come here once a week. The salads are a bit small.

This Del Taco is my go-​to late night, IDGAF stop when I just want something quick and easy, especially because it’s right off the freeway on Santa Monica. I’ve been going here recently on Tuesday nights for their cheap 3-​taco deal on Taco Tuesdays, highly recommend!
Unfortunately, I don’t love going to this particular location because although conveniently located right off the freeway, it’s in a ghetto plaza. There are so many sketchy looking people in the area, and sometimes even inside the Del Taco. Makes me feel unsafe, especially if I go late at night to get a quick bite before going home.
Also, the parking lot is kinda annoying because it’s one way. Make sure you go through the right entrance, because one of the driveways has those metal spikes that can puncture your tires if you drive thru it the wrong way.
Overall…I hate the location, but sometimes it pays to be convenient.

Homeless and sketchy characters will likely pester you. Several times they’ve caused a ruckus in the restaurant making threats. Yet no security guard keeping the premises safe. Then you have to deal with panhandlers outside.
Good Del Taco food (if you’re a DT fan). Good employees. It’s just dicey when you come here. I recommend to skip this place if you’re a female and coming alone because it isn’t the safest place, especially at night.
For some reason homeless and mentally ill people congregate in this plaza daily.

Nicest Del Taco that I’ve ever been to, purely based on how new everything is and how clean it is.
The Good:

Haven’t had a wrong order yet
The Bad:
No drive thru
Food sometimes (not often) takes longer than you’d expect
Parking at that strip mall isn’t super plentiful
Would I recommend to a friend: Yes, especially if you like Del Taco and you think most of em are pretty beat up inside.

They are short staffed so expect to wait a long time for your food to come out. All the workers are really hard working though, they just need some more help.
Chicken soft taco. That’s all you need to know. My husband made an interesting point that the white sauce is very similar to the Halal guys Chicken and Rice in NYC. I think I agree!
