Legit beer list for sure. Great selection and awesome bartender(we ended up having a mutual friend). We came here on New Years Day and we were the ONLY people here, besides the staff, but it was a nice change of pace. We got epic beers and a charcuterie plate — so good. This will be my to-go spot for myself or anyone in DTLA!

Ordered the Mac & Cheese… Kraft knock-off. So disappointed. Also I think the deviled eggs recipe was changed. If it wasn’t for the beer and chill vibes… I wouldn’t come here again!

Came here last Thursday for the first time. Got there around 240, just in time for hh at 3! I’m not sure about the menu but I was craving chicken wings so we got two orders. These buffalo wings were exactly how I wanted them to taste! I love vinegary things and the sauce was vinegar based which is probably why I was so obsessed! I will be back for more beer and wings! Thanks to our server Derek who recommended the sour beer(forgot which one), I loved it!

Loved the veggie sandwich and cab pairing, great server Devin! Awesome ambiance and great stop before heading back home. Slightly experiencing but worth the cost.

We visited City Tavern at about 12noon on a Saturday. It wasn’t that busy(7th and Fig on a weekend at noon, we were not expecting it to be that busy). We sat on the outside patio, as we had a dog and it was a beautiful day. We were a party of four. I personally ordered the Taco Truck Club, which was quite yummy with a side of fries. The fries were excellent. Our server seemed to be a little bit off. Don’t get me wrong… he wasn’t rude; however, he was less than enthusiastic and very quiet and not outgoing at all. Maybe three stars might be a bit harsh. Should I go four? I’m not sure. I’m keeping it at three; however, will definitely give it another chance.

I came here on National Burger Day to finish my rough day on a high note, and I was not disappointed. I was promptly greeted and seated after not finding a open seat at the bar. I ordered their burger and deviled eggs, and the server was attentive enough to ask if I wanted the deviled eggs before the burger. The deviled eggs were delish and the burger was cooked to perfect medium rare. The waitress did bring me wrong beer, but she actually fessed up to it before I caught it. She offered to exchange it, but I told her that it wasn’t necessary. Good food, solid beer on tap selection and great service earns this eatery solid four stars. Nearest Metro Station: Red/Purple/Blue/Expo Lines at the 7th Street Metro Center

I had to break my diet today and I’m glad I came here to do it. That damn cheeseburger is as close to perfection as it gets. Even if it didn’t taste like q 5-star, it would make the cut on size and composition alone. It’s big and juicy but didn’t send me back to the office looking like I just got back from feeding time at the zoo. The people are great and the food came out super quick. We were surprised because it was during the lunch rush and every seat was taken. Gotta come back and try the chicken plate I peeped on other tables!

What a great place to have a drink and food while shopping at 4th! It was busy like crazy but we were sited right away and the service was great! The food was good! I really like the buzzing atmosphere, it would be a great place for happy hour after work if I worked DTLA. Would go back for sure!

The service sucks here. Unilocal is making me leave 1 star. The only two people who were nice here were the hostesses, the one who greeted us and the one who apologized for their shitty service 30 mins later. I can’t really rate the food since we were only able to order our drinks and the Mac and cheese. So I’ll rate that. Mac and Cheese: gross and watery Waitress: racist human being Anyway after we received our drinks and Mac and Cheese the waitress never came back. I saw her come back in the restaurant to put an order in and get a bill for someone twice and then go back outside and take orders from three other tables. She never came back to get our order so I got up and asked the hostess for my bill so we could leave after I explained what happened. She asked if we were ready to order and I told her we’ve been ready and now I’m ready to go. I went back to the table to get the rest of my family and the hostess came back and said we didn’t have to pay for our mac and cheese and apologized. I won’t ever return here.

Happy hour starts at 3! Awesome place feels warm and sophisticated with the wood and hanging lightbulbs. Super cute and awesome staff. Some cocktails are served in little mason jars(which i love!) and 32oz beers served in glass milk jugs! Just obsessed with the little things. The food is alright, burgers are juicy. Fries are bomb. But definitely go during happy hour! 5 $wells and 10 $ 32oz beers Great small plates! Kim was an awesome bartender full of spunk, exactly what i expect from customer service!

The beer is good. They have a bunch of flavors for everyone. The service is stellar, granted i’ve come only during corporate sponsored events ergo service may have been stellar. Can’t say otherwise. However, the food was subpar, actually below average. I sampled all kinds of things and here are the main ones: –deviled eggs — gross, sorry. –Some kind of flavored chicken strips that were supposedly spicy. This was the best option but not spicy at all. –Burger was ok. Super salty!!! –Pulled pork sammich was utterly gross.

I wasn’t really craving a burger when my family went to Fig at 7th the other day, but as we were walking by the gym, CT had some pictures on the wall advertising their food. One of them was the CT Burger, and it looked good. Suddenly, I couldn’t think of anything but a burger. So while my wife and daughter went into the food court, I headed over to CT to order the burger to go. «Dry-aged angus beef patty, tomato, Thousand Island, lettuce, cheese, onions, pickles.» Didn’t sound too exciting, but I hoped for the best. Turned out it really wasn’t exciting at all, especially for a $ 12 burger. Instead of medium-rare, it came out medium-well, and it was under seasoned and extremely dry. When any kind of meat is that dry, you need lots of sauce and/or condiments to make up for it, but I didn’t have that; I don’t think it would have been justified to pay $ 12 for a burger doused with condiments either. The bun was dry as well, so this was overall a pretty disappointing burger to eat.

Came here after a long night of boozing/eating/socializing/networking/barhopping on a Thursday night and ended up here for our last stop. It’s a nice place to grab some brewskis and munchies and chill. Place is spacious and clean and who doesn’t like that ey? We ordered a flight to share(I believe it was the more expensive option for more) and some small dishes to share. We were all too exhausted to be drinking too much lol. For the beers, my favorite is the horchata something something. Didn’t taste like horchata as I had hoped but it was goood going down and that is all I could ask for in a beer. The chocolate milk stout was also good. Not usually a fan of stouts so a small amount of it was perfect. And the most important part of drinking… the munchies. heh! we had a couple orders of fries and mac and cheese, and one of my friends ordered a burger… well done with no mayo and then he dumped all the fried onions out of it … what an idiot. But it looked good before he made all those modifications lolol. Fries and mac and cheese were yummy! The mac was topped off with some crispy breadcrumbs, which is a fave of mine when it comes to mac and cheese. Fries were good. Fries are always good… lol. So I would come back fasho but probably try to order more creatively next time. And probably go for HH.

When your long-term colleague tells everyone that he’s up and moving to NYC and invites the whole office out for a good-bye soirée, there’s only one thing to do: go and say thank you. And when you get some really good food and drink in the bargain, what could be better? Drink: 4⁄5. Cheaper Than Divorce, a lovely beer, was my drink of choice. Delicious. I’d give drinks 5⁄5 but for the fact that they were out of several of the ingredients for some of their signature cocktails. Small Plates: 4⁄5. Our dear host treated us to a charcuterie plate that was really pretty good, fantastic French fries(herbed), Brussels sprouts, and various other snacks that were really quite delicious. Service: 4⁄5. On point, unobtrusive, yet on top of it. Ambiance: 3.5÷5 Too loud for a decent conversation. Value: No idea ’cause he picked up the tab. Thank you, Dr. K!

My friend gave me a choice of 2 restaurants for dinela and City Tavern was one of them. I picked this place because I’d been wanting to try it but kept forgetting to check it out. Dine LA for $ 20: Deviled eggs: chicharron powder, chives. I was disappointed because it was almost borderline bland. Nothing special and not tasty enough :( Taco truck club: not memorable and super dry. Ct burger: dry-aged angus beef patty, thousand island, tomato, lettuce, cheese, onions, pickles. Better than taco truck club for sure but not that great. It tasted just a typical burger. Root beer float: vanilla bean ice cream. It was actually pretty good. It was the only thing that I liked from this place. 2 stars! City Tavern is not yummylicious!

If you want a massive burger that will not very easily fit in your mouth, you definitely want to check this place out. They’re burgers are huge and their patties are nice and fat. I ordered their house special CT burger. It’s your regular classic burger they serve on a chic wooden board with a knife pierced through the buns. A really cool way to present it. I thought the burger was really nice and juicy, although the taste could be kicked up a little. My friend ordered the Swiss Pastrami burger and after trying it, I pretty much wanted to push my CT aside. The smoked pastrami was just the kick that I was looking for in my burger. With the Swiss cheese melting over the meat, it was really party in my mouth! We also ordered a bowl of their tortilla soup and let me just say that it was the best tortilla soup I have tasted. The soup is a little green in color so I’m guessing they use some tomatillos in it. It was perfectly spiced and seasoned and we left pretty well satiated from the place. The ambience is very laid back and the restaurant is pretty big with a full bar. After eating here, you can polish off those carbs with some Sprinkles cupcakes on the top floor… Or not

Located in the Fig/7th plaza on the first floor right next to Mendocino Farms. Love the vibe… an awesome place to grab a beer and wind down after work. My first visit was for lunch. I wasn’t too impressed with what my waitress recommended: veggie banh mi. It was literally 2 huge pieces of hard sourdough with a limited amount of shredded veggies and lots of mayo in between. Not much flavor… and very hard to chew :(So. order the side of broccolini(YUM!) or other veggies if you’re going for vegetarian/healthier options. My coworker ordered their house burger and it was soooooooooo good. The fries were cooked perfectly too. Football Sundays: wear a jersey and get a free order of wings!

I still think the City Tavern in DTCulver City is better! Smaller, but better. I;ve been to the DTLA location twice now, and although I really appreciate the large space, I fell like service drops off a little. FOOD: –brussels sprouts — I love brussels sprouts, but these were bland, oily and soggy! I was super disappointed. — pork belly slider — pretty yum! I loved the brioche bun and the pork belly had good flavor and was easy to bite through — best green beans ever — super flavorful! Very lemony and still had a nice crunch. — grits — I tried a bite and realized I’m not a fan of grits. Its the texture… — HH beer special! $ 10 for a milk jug of beer — super worth it! SERVICE: Slow. I’ve been here once when the place was dead and once during HH. Both times it was a bit slow — not the food, but actually finding our server when we needed something was a bit difficult. VENUE/PARKING: Very spacious! Large bar counter, high top tables, booths, large tables and an outdoor patio. You can park in the Figat7th structure and I think they validate, but I metro-ed over.
