The best dessert that I have ever had. The vanilla bean gelato with a little drizzled chocolate, with freshly made churros and drizzled dulce de leche… I love to try new dessert stops so I’ve been to plenty but churros calientes you have been the best.

A little bummed out since my partner and I drove all the way from Upland to find out that the truck was no where in sight. We heard so many delicious things about Churros Calientes that we decided to make the trip out to LA last night. I call the number on the page and Jacob was really nice to call me back and let me know that the truck is currently out of service for the next week or so. Jacob, I live far and work long hours but, I did promise to stop by this week at the restaurant. I hope you keep your promise ;) — Cookie

Had the churros con chocolatr and these are pretty bad churros. The chocolate did not help in the flavor dept. Not good or authentic. Don’t waste your money.

They make the best best churros! Try their store in Santa Monica too! It was a happy surprise to find the truck! Will be back soon~~

Got lucky and found this baby while I was heading to Guisados(DTLA). We were so stuffed after eating but my friend and I had to still get some. We got the regular churros for $ 3.00(4 churros). The churros are kind of skinny but they are deeeeeelicious! They aren’t overly sweet and have a hint of saltiness. They are definitely fresh so don’t get over eager and shove them in your mouth or else you might burn your mouth. My friend learned the hard way :( They have a lot of different menu options, but you can’t beat a classic churro! I would say these are comparable to the churros you get at Disneyland except they’re skinnier, which isn’t a bad thing :)

Tried it parked by The Spring Arcade, DTLA, I ordered the churros con chocolate and it was a total disappointment. I am from Spain(churro-land) and lived in Mexico(second churro-land) and these dont cut it. Costco churros(albeit very different) regrettably are better. There is not much to a churro; a churro is sugared fried dough. Therefore, the oil in which they are fried is very important. Churros Calientes Truck oil must have veen old and stale because that was the major flavor in the churros. The churros were made fresh right in front of me. In addition, the consistency was chewier than it should and definitely not crispy on the outside. I had tried the brick and mortar Churros calientes and it was good, however the truck is not.

Couldn’t have been more disappointed. :(!Drove from the valley only to meet this truck in Downtown LA with regret. I ordered 3 ice cream churro sandwiches today and as our meter was going out I sent the bf to the car. I waited and when I received my order it was placed in 3 desperate open flimsy containers. I told the guy at the window that I needed to-go boxes and if he could box it right. He said he didn’t have any boxes and instead tried to help by putting it in a plastic bag. What a mess! By the time I got to the car the thinnest layer of ice cream had melted! :($ 18 to eat 2 pieces of churro is not the business! Sadly I had high hopes for this place. Everyone here is friendly! I wish they had proper to go boxes so that everything wouldn’t spill. Needless to say everything melted and straight to the trash. Waste of money and I won’t be doing this again. Be careful and make sure their ice cream is cold and NOT melted. Pictures included

Delicious churro con chocolate! Menu said $ 6 but it was $ 5.25! About $ 5.75 with tax. Suuuper nice people. Hot chocolate is super rich and wonderful to dip churros in. I will continue to try everything else if I can just make it when they’re open! I dropped by Saturday around 10. They were gone by 10:50 on Sunday. Not around Monday or Tuesday I think. Also they take credit card! It’s super convenient. I have tried other things! Some with ice cream and some of the more more pricey things(well, $ 8-$ 9 range). The hot chocolate is still the best thing and probably the only thing I would order. The staff is still super nice.

Cruising down Vermont blvd on a mission to try food trunk and I happen to stop at a light at the corner of Vermont and the jack in the box corner on my eyes a circus like trunk and churro banded on it. Churros??? I am there. Parked and stood in front of trunk like a kid in a candy store. But I sadly looking for a churro ice cream sandwich got to talk to the sweet nice lady(forgot to get her name, sorry ruin of me). She like don’t worry I got you. Charge me like $ 9 waited like 6−7minutes. It’s was worth the wait, I end up with a duche le leche vanilla bean churro sandwiches. it was goooddd !! drool and a fresh cut strawberry. Combination of everything together was so good what I am going to keep telling you.‘but the only thing I was bummed about is that my ice cream melted like within 30 seconds cause the churros was so freshly made and it put together, so I kinda ended up with a puddle of my half melted ice cream half way thru my dessert. But I still enjoy Every bit of it(:

You haven’t had a churro until you’ve had one from Churros Calientes. I haven’t had any of their savory options, but man, oh, man, after the churros, I felt like I didn’t need a thing in the world. Light, airy, crispy, sugary. So crave-able!

One of my favorite food trucks for dessert. Try their Churros con Chocolate: fresh, crispy Spanish-style churros with a cup of super thick, chocolatey sipping chocolate!

Discovered this gem of a new churro truck a few months back and have been too lazy to write a review, but here goes. Not much to say here. Delicious churros. Slightly more expensive than what I’m used to, seeing as how I used to be able to get the same stuff(way more quantity though) for far cheaper just across the border when I lived in San Diego. But this is in LA, so can’t expect those prices. The churros aren’t like costco churros. They’re smaller and kind of curly, but super crispy, super sugary, and super delicious. Great dessert option if you just had tacos across the street at El Flamin. Doesn’t hurt that the owner of the truck was super friendly, either.

I chanced upon the truck after wearily consuming a soggy and bland huitlacoche quesadilla at the Flaming Taco truck around the corner. This is absolutely the cleanest, sterile truck in the Western hemisphere. The menu is limited. Choice of one of three empanadas($ 4 each). No review as they had none available! All they had were churros. Churros with a thick side of hot chocolate costs $ 6. A little pricey for truck dining. While the equipment is authentically de Espana, the taste of either the hot chocolate or Barcalona-esque churro is something to be debated. Honestly, and I say this despite the clear affection I built after meeting the owner, Juan, is your money is better spend at the Costco Food Court a Churro Largo at the meager cost of a buck! Yes, it’s not freshly fried, but for the minutia you receive, it just aint worth it. Hey, melt a chocolate bar(with a little cream) and find a recipe for petit choux dough and fry it! Tada! Churros Felicidades!
