A gentleman’s barbershop. It sounds a bit unusual for the average man. If I had to describe it. It would be a place where a man can get their hair cared for and groomed as well as a woman does. Yet in a much more comfortable setting. I’ve always thought that well groomed hair is an important aspect to appeal to people and this place and their stylist Christina went the extra mile. A shampoo and rinse, and a close shave done with a razor to take care of any spots that stand out. More care shaving the back of my head than I normally do on the front of my face. Which I found interesting and impressive. When someone takes notice of the things I don’t normally take notice of I respect them even more. It shows they are caring for your hair more and I have to worry less. It was one of the best haircuts I’ve received and the length of time was about the same as the other top ones yet more care to the little things were given. As for price it’s not for the faint of heart. But if you have something important going on it is well worth it. You cannot place a price on perfection. I ended up leaving more confident and happier than I entered.

So I received a gift card for a free haircut to Capellis. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by Christy in the front desk. She was very nice and showed me to my barber, which was Clara. I asked for a fade combover and Clara delivered exceptionally well. I was very satisfied with my cut, not to mention how very nice and elegant the place is. The prices are on the pricey range for a haircut, but it’s because of the prime location the establishment is located. It is Downtown LA by the way. Overall, I am a very satisfied customer and would definitely come back. Keep up the good job Clara and Christy.

My first introduction to Capelli’s Gentlemen’s Barbershop was their Grand Opening/Welcome to the Neighborhood, Scotch Tasting. Which was a very good way to be introduced to something new. The décor in the establishment is amazing. The dark wood and leather really makes it feel sophisticated. The atmosphere is definitely power broker chic with Sports Center playing in the background and some magazines on the ottoman. Katy cut my hair and first off I want to thank her for her honesty and after a bit, we work through exactly the kind of haircut I was looking for and in my opinion it came out great! I normally go to the Art of Shave which had a similar pricing structure but is still one of the highest price places to get a trim and Capelli’s is more. I completely appreciate the professionalism, décor, and location, however at their price point it’s a luxury that will only be enjoined on seldom occasions. Still highly recommend trying out their services. Everyone was great and overall experience A+ it’s just the kind of barber shop I’ve been looking for in the downtown area. Hopefully, they add a simpler trim service for a bit less that will make weekly cuts more financially appropriate.

I’m lucky enough to have Capelli’s right in my building. I got a great hair cut with amazing service. I walked in and Katie was immediately welcoming. We talked about everything from living on a peninsula to when we watch Netflix, all while I was getting probably the best haircut I’ve ever had. Great experience, I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Great place. Have had my hair cut twice by Katie and she is great. Very thorough, very friendly, great overall experience. I’ve always gone to the supercut type places — never again. I’ve been converted!

I was visiting from the bay area, where I’ve been searching for a barber for over a year with no success. My bachelor party is this weekend and wedding is in a month, so stakes are high, and KATIEDIDAMAZING! She took her time, interepreted me trying to explain what I wanted(which im horrible at) perfectly, and then gave me the perfect cut, exactly what I was looking for. The vibe is awesome, free beer, can’t really ask for much more. Go here and get on a regular rotation with Katie before they get even busier.

I get my hair cut by Katie, and she is fantastic. She takes her time, pays attention to the detail of the cut, and understood the cut I wanted despite me having a hard time trying to explain it to her. Will be going back regularly.

I’m a huge fan of Capelli’s in Seattle. Love the hot neck towels, incredibly relaxing. Happy to hear they are bringing their incredible service to LA!

Capelli’s is like a recharging station for my self-confidence. That they make me look great — well, as great as possible, given the material they have to work with — is just a bonus. I’ve been to their Seattle stores multiple times. Here’s how it goes … I book online. Hey, someone who respects my time.(Not like my kids.) The booking process is straightforward, but could definitely use a design and UX polish. They tell me they’re working on that. When you arrive they offer you coffee, tea, or water, and to take your jacket. Wait … not JUST coffee, killer espresso. «Damn,» I’m thinking, «they’re hitting my addiction to validaton AND caffeine? I’m toast.» ESPN. Leather chairs. Business magazines. I’d pay them just to sit here. The barber comes to get me too soon. I tell her what I’ve been doing with my hair, but basically leave it up to her discretion. Likes: – Menthol hot towels for my face and neck. #relaxing. – The cut hair is swept into a little vacuum opening in the wall. I think that’s cool for some reason. OCD much, Jeff? – The shampoo was a shampoo. But seriously, have you ever had a bad experience when someone else shampoos your hair? – And the cut is fantastic. Dislikes: – Trying to dig for something. Okay, a nit: The music they play isn’t always my thing. Might be cool to hear some blues or jazz(the good kind, like that insane drum solo from«Whiplash» over and over) or that hillbilly music I can’t help loving(looking at you, Old Crow). When I walk out, I’m so happy with my haircut I take a selfie, which becomes my OK Cupid profile photo. I guess it works, because I’m dating someone now. Thanks, Capelli’s!
