Canton Chef Express is a small restaurant that offers decent quality Chinese food for very affordable prices. Canton offers both Panda style serving entrees, varying from 3 different combo offerings which range from $ 5 – 6.30, and individual entrees that you can order that range from $ 7 – 13. I’ve been coming to Canton for the past 2 months and each visit has been exceptional. Although I normally order the same thing, combo B(2 entrees and 1 side) with teriyaki chicken, broccoli beef and steamed rice, some of the other entrée items I’ve sampled do taste good. One problem that I would address is that some of the entrees might appear a bit unappetizing since it looks like it probably has been sitting on the steam tray for extended periods of time. As for the teriyaki chicken the broccoli beef, both are delicious. Neither entrée items taste too salty or contain too much flavor additives, i.e. MSG. Also the server is extremely generous with portions and quite friendly. Overall, Canton Chef Express is a great place to grab some quality food for cheap prices. A perfect stop for lunch or dinner, you’ll defintely get your moneys worth, and your stomach will surely be pleased. To belly stuffing eatings: D

My local Chinese delivery place closed so I chose this place on a whim. They delivered the food so quickly and the woman who answers the phone is always so nice. The portions are very generous and everything we ordered was very tasty. You get what you pay for and then some! If you order a lot of food, you can ask for a free item. We ordered about $ 40 bucks worth of food and they threw in free chicken lo mein. You have to ask for it though. They do accept credit cards if it’s delivery. If you want a sure fire thing, give them a shot.

Don’t do it. You will regret it. Ordered chicken and broccoli and it came DRENCHED in oil and other strange smelling and looking fluids. The egg roll was just served floating in fluids. The chicken lomein had no flavor and the chicken was gooey. I just finished throwing everything out I feel sick after trying the lomein. Didnt even bother to try to chicken and broccoli.

Never thought about writing a review for this place, but I started going to this place years ago when it was in Midtown Shopping Center. It was burnt down during the last riots but the owners rebuilt in a strip mall. Don’t let the homeless people in the area scare you, as they’re harmless and you’ll regret it if you do. The food is fresh, flavorful, and they will accomodate your particular tastes(my wife likes extra green onions in her fried rice). Phone in your order ala carte and you have two days worth of meals if you’re not a big family. Very reasonable prices. I no longer live within the delivery area, but if I’m in the mood for Chinese, I drive across town. It’s worth the gas.

this is exactly the kind of place i would never eat from if i saw it passing by. lucky for the both of us i got a menu on my door and i didn’t realize it was the same place i knew of down the street. «free delivery!» and«best chinese food in town!» the menu proclaims. i think they’re right on both… surprisingly(as another review noted), not as greasy as i expected and much better in flavor! the menu goes a touch beyond what i would expect from delivery and i was impressed with the speed of delivery, too. 15% off a $ 20 order, and free items with orders over $ 25(cheese wonton), $ 30(lo mein), or $ 35(menu item). they didn’t even ask for the coupon.(but i order over the phone, not online, so i can ask for the free item.) my must-have is the fish fillet with spicy salt. the honey glazed walnut shrimp does indeed have a lot of mayo but i had to remind myself that that’s what it’s like at the fanciest and most«authentic» seafood restaurants and it was quite tasty. i’ve enjoyed many dishes but i lament the lack of noodle options and would steer you away from the lo mein. that’s the one thing that tastes like what you’d expect if you if you saw this strip mall restaurant. they take credit cards for delivery orders. not sure about on-site, though.

Really good, cheap chinese food. I always get the pork fried rice, orange chicken, and hot & sour soup. My only complaint is that my credit card was compromised after the last time I used their online ordering system(they don’t use Grub Hub), so to be careful I only pay cash.

Good, cheap Chinese food. I get the two entrée combo and it comes out to around $ 5.50. The grilled chicken is really tasty. The whole meal is kind of greasy, but I always enjoy it. This is my inexpensive goto Chinese place — this and Tam’s Garden.

I had my heart set on good ol’ greasy Chinese food, but what do I get? Non-greasy food made with all these vegetables. What gives?! I was slightly disappointed but my taste buds and arteries were unexpectedly pleased. The egg foo young I ordered was a bit too overcooked, but the gravy made up for it.

I see some reviews that mention there are new owners… the new management must be better than it used to be. This is my favorite Chinese Delivery. I am not crazy about the Lo Mein noodles, but the dumplings, Wor soup, chop suey, ma po tofu, spicy salty squid and just about everything else we have tried has been very yummy. We ordered a lot of food for a party and the owner sent a chef in early to make sure it arrived on time and everyone loved it. So, the food is good for groups, but I doubt if the restaurant itself is… I don’t think I would even try to eat there(looks like a hole in the wall from the street) but I love it for delivery!!!(One of the reviews says cash only, but when we order through , we use a credit card, FYI.)

Ordered Thai Curry Chicken, Dumplings and Lo Mein on GrubHub. The food arrived quickly, but they sent me a sesame chicken dish instead of curry chicken. Also nothing came with any rice. Their info says that they close at 9, but when I called at 8:45 after receiving the food, no one picked up. The sesame chicken is greasy and mostly breading, and the dumplings are just OK. Would not buy again. :-(

What happened to this place? I grew up a few blocks west of here and this spot used to be great! I stopped by today and got rice/chow mein, teriyaki chicken and broccoli beef. Rice and broccoli beef were ok and the chow mein and teriyaki chicken were not. I doused all the food with soy sauce to make it better. The portions are still big but the food is definitely not what it used to be. Parking can be tough if your trying to park inside the lot. CASHONLY

BADBADBADBADBAD. I am sorry. it’s rare for me to dislike a restaurant so. But this stuff is kind of inedible. That’s right, I actually *threw away food*! I’d ordered chicken, lo mein, and I don’t even remember what the third thing was(and I remember everything I eat!). The lo mein was sitting in such a large pool of oil you could have fueled a small car with it. That said, I ate the lo mein. The rest was just awful. So, so, awful. Do youself a favor. Don’t eat here. It’s gross, even if it *is* $ 3. Go a mile and a half west to King Fu, spend $ 2 more, and treat yourself to the best. Anything else is just silliness!
