Bon Bon Berry Acai Bowl Frozen Yogurt

My friend and I came in here to get acai bowls. No one else was in there when we went. One man was working and we placed our orders to go. It took 15 minutes for him to make both. I understand he was the only one working, so it isn’t his fault. They just should’ve had another employee assisting. It would’ve helped the service go faster for other customers too, because there was someone who came in line after us and couldn’t even place an order until he was done. The acai blend didn’t really taste like acai, but it did fix my craving.

On wot my favorite places for frozen yogurt. And their smoothies are so Yummm. I highly recommend this place it is kind of far for me but whenever I’m in the city I stop by.

3.5÷5. Acai is such a weird word, but it is a superfruit and made right, super delicious. Bön Bön is a fun little Acai stand, offering mostly acai bowls and a small selection of frozen yogurt. It is clean, the service is great, and I like the healthy options.
The smoothie I had however was just average, although I liked that they allowed the option of adding black sesame frozen yogurt. The smoothie’s texture was pretty liquid-​y and tasted pretty plain. They could’ve used fresher fruits and ice. Some small granola would’ve been nice too. I would come back to try the bowls though!

Nothing bad about this place but nothing really great either. I asked what is usually ordered most or what they’re most known for. She listed everything on the menu which didn’t help.
I got an acai bowl which was ok. Serving size was extremely minimal. For what I paid which was almost $ 8… Anywhere in Orange County or San Diego would have doubled the serving size. Everything tasted fine. I just wouldn’t drive out of my way to come here again.
Also, no bathroom.

I have been wanting to find a good Acai Bowl place in my neighborhood, and this one was just what I was looking for! I was able to order online and my order was ready and waiting for me when I arrived. They are also part of a small shopping center with a parking lot, which always helps in this town! Definitely plan to return!

Amazing! Try the California Bowl. Super healthy and so good. The store is in a strip mall with plenty of parking. I have been meaning to try it for a while. Tons of Vegan and non dairy options.

Came here on a whim for an acai bowl on one weekday morning. I’m not an acai bowl connoisseur by any means, but my California Bowl was delicious. The portion was generous and the price was fair. I love granola, and they were extra generous with that as well as the fruit, so I was pleased. It was quiet and empty on a Friday morning, but everything was fresh and service was friendly. I was really excited to find this place! Will definitely go back to try their other bowls.

Very good acai bowls, very fresh. Staff is also very friendly making it a relaxing atmosphere.

Acai bowl specialized place. Haven’t gotten around to try the bowl yet though.
Had 2 times the Acai smoothie which is really good and for $ 5.15 quite the deal.
Only improvement would be to have more Acai in the smoothie. It’s great that it also has strawberries and bananas, but the Acai portion is a little small.

UPDATE: 2 months coming to Bön Bön Berry about once per week or more.
I have not one complaint about the weekly visit I make to this great place! Their service is outstanding (ask them to educate you on their bowls or acai in general), the place is always kept very clean, the acai bowls are consistent with being delicious, satisfying and large.
Don’t be discouraged when you walk in because it does feel like a frozen yogurt place, but I guarantee everyone comes for their acai bowls. There are 4 options and only 4 because they polish them and make sure each one tastes different and delicious. If a bowl doesn’t have something you want, you are able to add anything for an additional topping price.
I adore the Aloha Bowl. It is exotic with mango and coconut and very fresh. They cut the fruit by the order and blend the acai when you come. Nothing is pre done! Sometimes if I am going after the gym I will add their protein powder which tastes like nothing but adds 20g of protein to the bowl. Huge plus to me!
I go to every acai bowl place I can find and Bön Bön Berry is definitely in my top 3 favorites. Their acai bowls are large, fresh and satisfying. Their staff is friendly, consistent and helpful.

Since my first visit last year, they have definitely improved the consistency of the bowls as well as the portion sizes. The portion sizes are a lot bigger and worth your money rather than the initial small plastic bowl they had been using previously.
The fruit freshness is comparable to yogurt land if you needed a reference point.

I was very hesitant when I first pulled into their parking lot because it looked a lot more like a frozen yogurt spot than acai bowl place, but I left very statisfied.
I order the California bowl and it didn’t disappoint. I stopped on my way to church and it was definitely a great stop. The lady that helped me was very helpful and friendly. I’ll probably be stopping by before church again in the near future.

I’ll admit that I am a creature of habit and convenience but even if this wasn’t close to my work and I sought out adventures in food I would still come here just as much. I think I have come here nearly every day this week and I still look forward to it every time. I love love love the aloha bowl. I’ve tried the California and razzi peach bowl as well, which are delicious in their own rite but the aloha bowl tops the cake. It’s addicting and satisfying in every way!

Great tasting Acai bowls but the portions are too small, and they only offer 1 bowl size. So I ended up having them make me TWO bowls and placing in a large frozen yogurt cup.
They also don’t offer as many options for toppings as other Acai bowl places, just the basics.
Overall, I enjoyed my Acai bowlss and would likely return again if in the neighborhood.

I was looking for a good acai bowl spot and I definitely found mine. The California bowl was awesome. The place was very clean and they had great customer service!

I love acai bowls and have been looking for a good place close by. This place did not disappoint! I got the California bowl and it was delicious! Good price and portions. I usually go to Backyard Bowls (way too far), but now I think I’ll be a regular here.
Best part of the whole experience was definitely the service! Staff was super nice and welcoming. Shop itself was very clean and had a great atmosphere.
The shop has parking outside. I went around 5pm and didn’t have problems finding a spot!

I was looking for other places that sell Acai bowls other than the usual place I go to — Nektar.
I got the California Acai bowl $ 7.50. It has your typical strawberries, banana, granola and hemp seeds on top. The portion size is huge and a few bucks cheaper than Nektar. Their bowl Acai has a more liquid texture than I’m used too but it was still really good. Also, they have a parking lot available! It looks like they also sell froyo but I didn’t try those. Maybe next time.

Just purchased an acai smoothie and finished it within 5 minutes, it was that yummy.
This place is clean, the staff very friendly and the product tastes fresh & delicious. I’ll be back soon to try the acai bowls.

Never thought I would find amazing acai bowls in this small frozen yogurt shop, but boy was I wrong! This shop is located in a small plaza that has a small private parking lot. I got the California bowl ($ 7.50) here and it was incredible. Though they do have smaller portions than other juice places, it was the perfect size for me where I didn’t find myself too full & regretting finishing the entire thing afterwards.

Pros: Extremely friendly staff (including the manager), clean atmosphere, unique and classy environment (e.g. samples are served on a platter), delicious acai bowls, good toppings (particularly the freshly chopped fruit), and (mostly) the froyo.
Cons: portions are a bit small for the price, I wish it were self serve, and the occasional flavor of froyo tastes a bit «fake sugar-​y.»
I like supporting local businesses. This one deserves 5 stars.
