Baja Fresh Mexican Grill

The name of the restaurant is wrong, the correct name is
Baja Fresh Mexican Steamer
I’ve been here twice (the second time was because Which Wich next door shuttered) so I was in a pinch to eat here. BOTH times the Burrito Ultimo Steak’s veggies and steak were steamed on the grill, not charred like it should be. Stop crowding the grill and learn to cook properly.

They’re fast, efficient, friendly (especially that Froyland dude) and the manager is always there. Baja Fresh as a company could use some faster ordering software, it’s not the servers that are slow, just roll with it, they’re faster than Trader Joe’s is now.
These guys crank it out and everything is as well-​stocked and clean as you could reasonably expect for such a high-​traffic spot. They’ve never screwed up my order, always hook it up with the chips, and the first time I went there and didn’t know the rice and beans side plate came with cheese they swapped it out for sin queso with no fuss.
Try and remember to bring your own spoon to reduce plastic landfill waste! Also their spoons suck haha.

I come here quite often since I live down the street. This place always satisfies my appetite. I love the friendly service and cheap prices. The salsa bar is always kept well stocked.
I have to admit that the parking situation can suck at times. The customer service can lack sometimes.
Overall I enjoy coming here. The food is really fresh and the quality is consistent. If you sign up for their email letter then they send you coupons. I really like that too.
I mean… Honestly, what more can I say?

This is my go –to Baja Fresh in LA! The salsa bar is always fresh, and they never fail to have my order ready when I call ahead because I’m short on time. There’s a little bit of parking in the lot, but it can fill up since the centre is in quite a congested area (the rest of the parking is a paid parking structure connected with Bev Connection)
The only room for improvement is that the floors can be pretty sticky at this location. However, this is expected considering the amount of foot traffic that comes through.

The food is good but the service is horrible. I’ve been here a few times and usually the male employees are the unhappy ones (in most places, it’s the opposite!). One time I saw a cashier standing there but he didn’t welcome me or ask me if I was ready to order. Instead he just glared and gave a fake smile/​smirk, traipsed his way to get himself a soda and walked back to stand behind the cash register to continue looking on. It took a while before his coworker/​supervisor was able to come help. Weird how the quiet employee didn’t inform us that someone will be with us shortly, rather than just stare at us. How are we supposed to know he’s on break/​not working?
The male employees in general are very curt, and so are the females but at least they give a more welcoming attitude toward customers.

This place used to make a burrito that was good for the price & pretty convenient. WTF happened? I was just there & ordered a veggie burrito to go. Not only was it more expensive than I ever recall, but I arrived home to find half of its (approximately 5) ingredients missing. How is that even possible? I’m too lazy to walk all the way back & complain, but I’ll certainly do it here.

this location of Baja Fresh is truly disgusting and run my inept employees who don’t even know or care. Food spilled on the floor stayed on the floor for over an hour. Nothing I ordered came as asked and employees acted like zombies moving slowly thru their tasks. Never again.

I also have to disagree with all the 1 star reviews here. I had better service here than at some of the expensive restaurants in LA!

Unfortunately I can see how people might be turned off by how warm it is in here, not warm, HOT. The fans weren’t even on. Definitely eat outside.
Also seemed to be a little messy. You are supposed to throw your own tray away but most just left it on the table.
On to the customers! Because most left their trays of food on the table I got to see how much waste goes on here and I mean a lot. You should be ashamed of yourselves. You can always go back up for more salsas, limes, and napkins!

Nice fresh fast mexican food. Their avacados are tasty and their spanish rice is delicious. if you do not look for a upscale mexican or too sophosticated place totally fine. Ask the key for restroom. It is below the tjmaxx and ross and on the corner of beverly center. I reccomend chicken fajita. Dont reccomend their breads.

Food is not fresh. Co-​worker saw them pick up a fish stick off the ground and place it in the taco. Also, today we waited 45 mins for our food before we asked for our money back. Will not go back to this location again. I can safely say my other co-​workers from Cedars will not come back again either.

This burrito is so good today. It’s not the real deal I’m accustomed to but whoever made this one, yes! Giving me life! Chicken, pinto beans, cheese & salsa, on point. It was ready fast and the staff is always nice. They give Cedars employees a discount too! My favorite thing is their salsa bar, I make my on concoction is so yummy!

I’m not sure how this place got such bad rating over all. I beg the difference.
The cashier offered free chips during waiting. I got my food 5 minutes from time of ordering. The Baja shrimp burrito is just as delicious as what I get from other locations.
The store is in the very busy Beverly Center. Lots of foot traffic of course. It was packed at 2pm on a weekend afternoon. Use the parking lot for the shopping center.

The burrito here is delish! The only downside of this place is having only one toilet. That’s right. But, this might be typical for a smallish establishment. Very friendly staff. Variety of salsas to try. Salsas were very fresh & delish! I loved the mango salsa. Great location (near TJ Maxx & across the Beverly Center).

Not great not bad… Idk what’s the deal here sometimes they give me chips with burrito not thus time…

Awful, why do we go here, awful awful food. No flavor at all. Taco crap bell is Better or dog food awful

This location does not deserve any stars. Worst experience for multiple reasons. Its 100 degrees outside you would think they would have their air conditioner on … Nope they didn’t. They stuffed the Mexicano burrito to the point that it ripped out of my hand… It was no longer a burrito… Had no taste what so ever. The tables were dirty and the salsa bar containers were empty. What a waste of $ 18.00 and 25 minutes of my life

Worst experience ever! I love Baja fresh but NOT this location.
I ordered Surf & Turf Bowl and I told them to put black beans on the side.
I came home and realized that they forgot to put rice in my bowl and beans were inside. Are you kidding me? Why is it called bowl if they’re not going to put rice?
They have no knowledge of their menus. I called the store and spoke with the MANAGER. She didn’t even apologize right away and saying «are you sure?» And she told me to bring the food and she will give extra guacamole. Are you kidding me? I just wanted an apology but i guess the manager doesn’t know the term of SERVICE. Gosh. Does Baja fresh train their employees?

Staff are super friendly and nice. Food is always good and meat quality is very good.

I ordered the tostada chicken salad for delivery and there was a hair in it. They were nice enough to refund my money but it shouldn’t have been there in the first place

This Baja Fresh sucks !!! Don’t come here the food is never cooked correctly and is overpriced !!! Go to chipotle across the street ! Much better food !!!
