Asparagus Pizza

I came back the other night to finally try the Mexican food here. I won’t go into it, but it was truly, truly terrible. Sent it back and the checkout girl gave me a prompt, polite refund.
Will be back for the pizza and calzone, so the four star rating remains.

Fast delivery! The Spinach and Cheese Lasagna was very good. The corner was kind of burnt like thou. Also ordered Fettuccine with Chicken, it was pretty bland in seasoning. Also, I requested for the chicken to be well done, also for them to put some parmesan cheese and red crush peppers in the bag. All of that was ignored!

Asparagus pizza is one of my favorite hole in the walls in the neighborhood. It’s family owned and very average. If you’re looking for decent food at a decent price try it out.

I ordered the calzone. It was alright. Nothing special. The sauce tasted like jar sauce. If that’s the sauce they use on their pizza, I think in might be better to just order papa johns.

I hate that I even have to write a negative review. This is one of our favorite pizza places since we found it a few months ago. Tonight we ordered pizza via the Eat24 app as usual. I ordered a Hawaiian pizza and added mushrooms. Using the Hawaiian option on the app. The medium is priced at 16.75 plus 1.80 for the mushrooms. When the pizza arrived, it was a cheese pizza with mushrooms. So I called the restaurant.
The gentleman who answered claimed to be the owner. He spoke very broken English with a heavy accent. He tried to explain to me (I think) that it was because I added mushrooms. I told him that didn’t make sense, because I chose the Hawaiian pizza and added mushrooms which was a higher price than a one topping pizza. He repeated that it was because I added mushrooms. I again repeated that makes no sense, unless the person reading the order did not read English. The man immediately became rude and defensive and accused me of being discriminatory and told me to take me business elsewhere.
I was in no way being discriminatory. The man barely spoke English, the delivery driver barely spoke English. When you call the restaurant you often have employees answer the phone only to find they do not speak English and pass you off to some one else. I have no problem with doing business with them but I understand there may be a language barrier.
Sadly, do to the owners rudeness I will not be continuing to do business here. They had no problem charging me for what I ordered, but had a problem fulfilling it. Had the owner simply said «I’m sorry about that we will send you a replacement immediately» that would have been sufficient. He’s the one who tried to explain (I think) that it was somehow my fault because I added a topping.

I dig this place. I’m a college student, so cheap pizza that’s a stones throw away is great.
Pizza slices are HUGE. One slice of pizza is big enough to be a meal. So that makes one of their specials very nice. 2 slices of cheese pizza w/​one topping and a medium drink for $ 6.94 + tax. So that’s dinner and tomorrow’s lunch for $ 7.50? Really good deal.
It’s also just good pizza. Taste-​wise, it’s comparable to any of the big chains. Great student spot. Highly recommend.
Not giving it 5 stars because the actual restaurant could use a facelift. Interior is very dated, and some of the stuff around the counter could use some cleaning.

I would give it no stars if I could. When we ordered the first time the sandwich (torta) said everything the sandwich came with directly off the menu and it did not say it came with mayonnaise which did also come with it, which all in all would’ve been fine if when we called to ask for a different order we asked that they didn’t include sour cream on the sandwich which my girlfriend cannot have and which we had in the original order asked them not to include regardless on the sandwich and one of the sandwiches had it after we specifically asked that they didn’t add it. When we then called to ask about it they reluctantly agreed to change the sandwiches to what we actually ordered after rudely hanging up. Not too long later (since the place is around the corner) the deliver guy came and the sandwich had literally nothing on it. All we asked for was the same order with basically just none of the sauces on it, not a plain bun. To make the situation worse I decided to check the sandwiches because I know in food service they get fed up about this stuff and to my not so big surprise I find not one but two hairs in the sandwich and later another in the other sandwich and that was without even digging into it. When we went ourselves walking to the joint to ask for an explains as to why they took off the main ingredients in the sandwich when we simply requested that they remove the mayonnaise and sour cream they said every sandwich comes with mayonnaise (even though again nowhere in the description does it say that) and also we wanted to show them that we found hairs in the sandwich and that we didn’t touch it at all they rudely told us to go online get a refund and never come back. Neither me or my girlfriend have black short hair which was what was in the sandwich. The food overall smelled great and honestly it probably tasted good as well. What ruined it was that they couldn’t simply take off the sauces without giving us complete attitude about having to replace their own mistakes and then putting hairs in it. It’s extremely upsetting and I suggest you eat elsewhere. Please look at pictures.

This is my local spot to where I live. The people that run and operate this place are very nice, shy but very nice :)
Their steak quesadilla is g r e a t ! I also like their pizza :)

Hands down this is the best pizza!
One of my clients raves about this place, so I decided to give it a try.
So glad I did because I’m in love now.
The white knight pizza is full of flavor and I really loved the soft crust.
Whenever I’m in Hollywood this is my spot!!!

Bad bad customer service doesn’t care if their orders are wrong they don’t give a crap about the customer I will never order from here again the food is horrible management sucks

I love the food here! The pizza is amazing and delicious! The vegetarian nachos are EXCELLENT! LOVE EVERYTHING! The staff is really cool as well and very friendly!

Asparagus pizza puts the yum in, «Holy s#*t, you wont believe what im eating! op yellow»
There calzones make you want to call home about the amount of ingredients you get to add and select for them
The dough here is fundamentally hands down the best best dough I’ve had in my life. No question. Never before eaten one of a kind type of dough. .
The Orchata they serve here transports you back to mexico with just one sip.
Their desserts are a little off game but the effort is there. With only ordering the spumoni however, receiving a cheesecake that I can say was past it’s prime, I can only testify they have wonderful selections.

DON’T GO! Unfortunately Village Pizza is closed– you’re better off ordering Dominos. The 2 guys that work here have major communication barriers-​then treat you like it’s your fault they serve you the wrong order. Even then, the food is mediocre at best. Staff is far too rude to deal with. Not worth it.

Worst horchata ever! I had delivery and my drink was so watered down with ice filled to the rim and since when was horchata suppose to be white? It looked like skim milk instead of being made correctly with rice, cinnamon, sugar ect but I guess that’s what I get for ordering a Mexican drink from a pizza place.

I wanted to give them a good review since they don’t have a delivery fee but my food came soggy (barely edible) and the delivery guy calls me telling me to come downstairs and when I don’t see him and call him back, he said he’s not even at my apartment yet and it will be another five minutes.
Bummer.

I eat at Asparagus Pizza all the time. I’m probably their best customer. The two guys who run the place are awesome, the woman who works the register at night is so sweet (and beautiful for that matter). I always get their chicken quesadilla or the Rigatoni with meat sauce. I’m italian, and so pasta is important to me, and these guys nail that rigatoni everytime. I’ve taken all my new LA friends there, and you should go there too!

Got pizza and wings. The pizza had practically no sauce. The wings were just weird, bad. Will not order from them again.

The Italian food is delicious, but try to stay away from the Mexican food. You shouldn’t be able to buy a burrito and a pizza at the same place anyways. The Mexican food is average at best, but the Italian is great!

Ordered from Eat24 finally after seeing them in the list for a while because they had a deal for 2 large pizzas. The price was under 30 with tax and an extra topping on the second pizza which is a decent deal.
Pizza came earlier than the estimated time which was nice, however they didn’t include the sides of ranch I asked for in the notes, and it seems they must have been low on pizza sauce because I couldn’t tell if there was even any on these pizzas!
The crust was regular at best, and thank the pizza gods that there was enough cheese to give these pizzas SOMETHING juicy. The saving grace on mine were my topping of jalapeños and pineapples. However with each bite I was still craving that juicy saucy pizza goodness that you even get with a frozen pizza from the grocery store.
All in all, I would not order pizza from them again. Not worth my money.
