Great store for authentic Mexican meats, ingredients and treats. Not too expensive, either. The staff is friendly and I bet they would be happy to ask any questions that you may have, if you’re new to cooking Mexican food or unfamiliar with the products that they carry.

I love that they have chapulines here. They sell u a whole bag for like 4 bucks. This is the spot to come for the true latinos. All the other food is great too

Aqui es Oaxaca is a nice grocery store, meat market and whatever else they sell. It is very nice store in our community. I just keep seen this over and over and I am not sure why nobody is doing or saying anything about it and especially Health Department. I am very disappointment to see that everytime we go buy meat or bread here, the employees are not using gloves. The employees touch(with bare hand) the meat or bread or any other food and then assists us as a cashier(touching money) and then goes back and touches meat again. I don’t mean to be rude, but come guys, for the sake of us customers health… use gloves to avoid cross-contamination. You guys know better. There can be some cheap gloves that you guys can get. I know that food cost is very important, but our health is also important.

This place is pretty cool. The asada is good & the people are super friendly. I told the guy I was making my own chimichurri sauce & he game me a few slices of their carne asada to convince me I should just buy more of theirs. It worked. They also have chapulines when they’re in season. Super hard to find! They were the smaller ones & had too much lemon for me but I don’t know anywhere else that sells them! The old lady that owns the place is awesome too! I want her as my abuelita! Pros: –quality meats –the place can survive on the asada alone –A lot of hard to find products from Mexico Cons: –ya ya so it’s dirty & ghetto. That’s how these places are. At that point it almost seems to make the place better. If you’re not used to a place like that it might shock you –As with most of these places some of the products are old. Some of the products might have dust caked on the package. lol. I was even going to include a pic I took of a rack of completely black bananas. Again, if you shop at Carnicerias or the old school tiendas then you know how it is. I almost feel like giving more stars for that!

Amazing carne asada! They had two types, one they described as more flavorful at $ 4.50/lb and the other as a more tender meat at $ 6/lb. Both were excellent! The salsa verde is really good too! I didn’t check to see if they made fresh tortillas there so I’ll have to ask next time… but that would really top it off!

Good food for the price. I have been here at least 10 – 15 times over the lat 4yrs. Very casual outdoor setting but sometimes the Jukebox is too loud. I enjoy the salsa de chipotle and the Chilaquiles, these are both very good Oaxacan dishes. The burritos and quesadillas are tasty and if your vegetarian there are a variety of things for you as well. Overall good value for your money.

if you are looking for the most amazing, succulent, tender, bomb-ass carne asada meat… GOHERE. i tried this place out based on the Unilocal reviews and it was better than i ever could have imagined. at $ 5 a pound, really can’t beat how amazing it tasted. little lady that runs the store was really nice and even made fresh salsa verde that was the best i’ve ever had. definitely worth coming here for your next bbq. :)

The price is right & the food is great. I picked up some of their carne asada and pollo asada and it was excellent! If you’re in the area, definitely check out this market.

I have been eating the breakfast burritos for a long time. Its a little tough because the lady in the morning doesnt speak english but we manage to figure it out. I stick with the same breakfast burritos everytime for simplicity. Huevos, caso, frijoles, blah blah blah. Then i hit it with the home made salsa and laugh as i wave good by to my hangover. I have also had the carne asada burritos a number of time. This place is cool. Its only real seating is outside in this tent area that they have fashioned together. Decent setup for a little whole in the wall. A little mexi jem in Culver City. Prices are good. They charge you like .50 cents if you charge it so i just rollin in like a pimp with my 5 crumpled ones and get my Oaxaca on. Enjoy. Pronounced wa’haka

This place carries the absolute best homemade Oaxacan chocolate. It really puts Abuelita and Ibarra to shame. Even better than the Oaxacan Mayordomo brand. Only 6 dollars a bag.
