I have been to many different bars in Koreatown and I think the girls at A bar are the best looking bartenders ever!

Service: The girls behind the counter were real nice and amazing. Made sure my cup was always filled with new ice(i order macallan or johnnie walker only) and made sure everything was alright. It’s a great place if you want to drink and have someone to keep you company or bring a friend or two and just want to hang out and drink. Food: The food is good but not extraordinary. It makes great snacks to go along with a bottle of whiskey or cocktails. Ambiance: Blue lit bar with bottles of alcohol on the wall. Has that club like feel but it’s a bar. If you been to S bar, it’s like a mini version of it. Parking: Valet Note: Pretty much if you’re in ktown, want a drink and want a pretty face to look at it… this is the place

The bartenders are awesome! Always come to A-Bar instead of S-Bar! The bartenders will take care of you! And they’re easy on the eyes.

A-bar is the perfect place that is just unique enough to impress even your most elegant of friends. With a cozy atmosphere and friendly bartenders you truly feel like a VIP. If you’re into saki the only problem is picking which one to try first! You can have it hot or cold, but always fresh! The food menu is full of many options. I am always in the mood for the dumplings. The live dj always takes it up a notch by 10pm the party’s started. And I love that I can always keep track of the game while I am out with my friends.

A-Bar is the mini me version of S-Bar. Both are located inside Palm Tree LA( ). S-Bar is more spacious, with actual room to move around and generally houses a wider selection of drinks, along with a few more bartenders. A-Bar is mostly for bottle service, with 3 bartenders tops. Both places were featured on the Internet reality series, K-Town. A-Bar should be called L-Bar, since the shape of the bar counter is an L. Simple but cramped, especially when it gets busy. They ask you to move down a seat quite often when it gets crowded, making it more hectic than it really should be. Everything is lit by a blue fluorescent color background and your butt is comforted by stool chairs, maybe 12 at best. There’s a couple of flat screens showing K-POP and that almost always grabs anyone’s attention. If you can’t finish your bottle, they’ll save it for you, giving you one more reason to «Come Back Home» — Seo Taiji and Boys. A typical Korean bar is not like a normal American bar where you crowd around for mixed drinks and then step aside when done. You order liquor by the bottle, hence I wouldn’t recommend ordering soju or beer, if they even allow you to do that. You can actually eat there as well, but I wouldn’t order the food unless the pub has a reputable kitchen that was attached. From initial looks, the food isn’t bad but I’m not here to eat. I’m here to get my drink on. During my last visit, they had a large bottle of Johnnie Walker Black for $ 99, which is practically a steal, in comparison to the competition. I’ve known the head bartender Ellen for several years now. Since, I frequent this place once in a blue moon, she’s always glad to see me and we throw a few jokes back and forth. The other bartenders will keep you company, refill your drink, and you can come here and tell them that you invented the Post It without anyone thinking anything otherwise. When I want some hard alcohol with a buddy or two in Koreatown, without all the noise and hooplah, this place is one of a hand full of joints that comes to mind. A Bar is a great place to go if you are looking to hang out and chat with either friends you bring in or the bartenders. It’s great for a group of 2 – 3 unless you can get the corner then 4 – 5 otherwise it’s hard to chat with your friends. The bartenders here are awesome and a lot of fun to chat with. If you don’t have any friends in the area and still feel like having a drink they will ensure you have a good time. The food is yummy here. The kimchi tofu is delicious!

Tried to come here twice. Keyword is *tried*. It’s basically a tiny bar with 2 – 3 bartenders. They have so many items on their menu that they either don’t have the ingredients for, don’t know how to make, or simply don’t have. It boggles my mind why they would print a menu, half of which isn’t truly available. Finally in frustration we decided to move to a different location and the only options once we’re in the mall is Arang, a restaurant, or S bar(basically the same thing except larger).

For non locals the bartenders do not know how to socialize with customers. I am talking basics… «how are you doing?»

A-Bar is located in the Palmtree building next to Arang restaurant in Ktown. The predominantly Korean bar is the size of a walk-in closet. Straight bar with 10 bar stools, no plush lounge chairs or love seats — just you and the bartenders in front of you. Cool selection of liquor, attentive service, food, and there are 2 or 3 flat screens showing K-Pop and R&B. This is not really a bar you would travel to but if you are already in the immediate area its worthy of a look. *Good place to get your solo pre party started before you hit the Ktown streets. *The fluorescent lighting in the bar makes everyone look beautiful, then reality hits you like bricks under the elevator lights.
