Great NY style pizza. Huge slices, great quality ingredients. Deduct one star for multiple delivery mistakes, but they are always apologetic & even gave us a free dessert to make up for it one time. Will continue to support this great local business. Keep up the good work!

A couple of weeks ago we were in the mood for pizza, so we opened Unilocal to find the best-reviewed pizzerias in the Longmont area. After reading gushing reviews, it was determined that Danoto’s was the place to try. Since we were only driving through Longmont, we opted for the carry-out option. The ordering process was a little confusing because the menu board was hard to read and oddly organized. Ultimately, we decided on the vegetarian pizza. We were told it would take about 15 minutes. We shared a table with another gentleman in the cramped dining area. One table was occupied by one of the employees’ children — who were making quite a ruckus. We don’t mind children, but it seemed unprofessional to have them monopolizing a table right in the middle as they excitedly bounced around the room. We waited nearly an hour for our food. It seemed apparent that there was a miscommunication regarding our order. Our perception was that our food had actually been ready for about ten minutes, but the cooks weren’t sure whose food it was. The woman behind the counter apologized and handed us our box. We opened the box and dove in. We were immediately struck by how bland the pizza was. The sauce had very little flavor and the crust had no bounce or crunch. The cheese had a good texture, but its flavor was bland. The remaining ingredients left a lot to desired. We understand that it isn’t easy to wow with vegetarian-style pizzas, but that doesn’t mean they can’t, at least, taste good and fresh. We are truly baffled why this place is treated with high regard. Even if we didn’t consider the oddly confusing menu, the amount of time we waited, or the employee’s children, this would still be one of the worst pizzas we’ve ever had. As of now, I can’t imagine we will ever go back.

Loved it! Really enjoyed talking to Antonio(the owner). You can tell he is very passionate about baking and making great food! Can’t imagine a better place in Longmont. Pizza was soooo good. So was cheesecake. Will be a regular spot for us.

Okay, here’s the deal. We ordered delivery from this place a while back, just a simple pizza with a couple toppings, and it arrived cool and rather limp. It was better than chain delivery by about a half star. Since then, the great reviews keep rolling in, so we decided to visit in person. What happened next was a study in contrast: absolutely delicious«gourmet» margarita pizza, with fresh plum tomato and mozzarella and a spectacular bubbly crust. Probably about as good as it gets for cooking one of these in a non-wood-fired oven. Unfortunately, the lady at the counter didn’t seem fit for the front-of-house service industry. No eye contact, no «please,» «thank you,» or «you’re welcomes.» We waited for our pizza and sipped our drinks, and then the pizza came out in a box with an, «oh, you’re eating it here?» Guy in the back took it back to put it on tray for us(and hopefully bring us plates and stuff, as we reminded him), and three minutes later cranky lady comes back out with the box. «I’d just have to put this in a box for you later, so it’s wasting a box if I do that.» This time we got a smirk for free with our interaction! The couple who I suspect are the proprietors came in shortly afterwards and were very kind. The behavior of the cranky lady also improved dramatically when I watched her interact with her boss(surprise). My conclusions are: 1) I would eat here despite the horrible service; it was that good. But I might leave my family at home, if only so I could feel at liberty to provide some more«direct» feedback. 2) Pay the upcharge for the premium ingredients if you are a pizza snob like me. 3) I don’t think their delivery does the pizza justice; this stuff needs to be eaten right out of the oven if you can swing it. Especially with the higher water content in the plum tomato, the crust just doesn’t have a chance after some time passes. 4) I’m updating to five stars when Rude Gal is gone.

Hands down the best Calzone I have ever had. My son loved his Stromboli. My wife loved her Margarita pizza, but then enjoyed some calzone too. Not much room for dinning in; we took ours home. Not the fastest. However very friendly people and amazing food. I will be back for more.

Ordered large sausage black olive. Ready on time, very good crust, good cheese and ample amount. We have enjoyed Great Pizza from Italy, New York, Jersey Connecticut and Chicago. The owner would benefit from using high quality Bulk sausage vrs few thin slices of a weak brand. Hardly found any! Real Pizza uses BULK sausage. If this is fixed I’d call this the best in town! Not until.

So I’ve come to update the review. Danoto’s is improving on their delivery game and they have definitely improved. The pizza is amazing as always but now it’s coming to our house on time and properly cooked. Thanks!

They seem to be improving! After the last pizza delivery debacle, the poor delivery driver got a bit of an earful from my fiancé. Turns out the driver reported the negative(constructive?) feedback to the owner. To our surprise, the owner stopped by to talk about our last experience, and seemed really interested in fixing the problems with delivery, so we gave them another chance. We ordered delivery about a week later… And the pizza arrived in about 45 minutes and was delicious! We also ordered a calzone, which I highly recommend. Hopefully the improvements stick, I’d love to see this place succeed! They still have some issues with the pizza arriving lukewarm /cold. I’ll be sure to upgrade the rating if they fix it… But hey, lukewarm Danoto’s is still 4 stars, that’s saying something!

I love this pizza! My wife and I tried a couple slices for lunch. We enjoyed it so much that we ordered it for the family that night. The owner, Antonio is a very friendly guy and the pizza is the most authentic NY pizza in town hands down. It’s great to have you in town so keep up the great pies!

I’ve ordered from here four times. Today will be my fifth. I’m not sure where some of these complaints are coming from but I’ve never had any thing but perfection from here. At first I thought it seemed a little expensive, but then I saw the food and the portions were huge! Price per ounce was VERY inexpensive. I’m someone who can EAT and I had to save half of my calzone! The owner was working the first night I was there and he explained a little about the history of his culinary experience and I was blown away! Plus he was a really friendly guy. Some of the people leaving bad reviews should call and talk to him,(not some kid behind the counter, but the owner) because I’m sure he would make things right. The food is amazing, the prices are right, and the service is great. They did have one employee working the front counter who seemed to be pretty inexperienced at customer service based on the way I heard he talking to a customer on the phone, but I’m guessing thats problem that will solve itself. Surely she will be let go, or she will be retrained(if that hasn’t already happened).

I’ve grabbed slices to go a few times. They were always very good. Prices are fair. I’d say this place is competing for best pizza in Longmont.

AWESOME!!! Food is amazing! The Philly is super tasty with lots of flavors. The bread is toasty on the outside and soft and warm on the inside. Pizza was delicious too! Tried the cannoli and it was exactly like you’d find in NYC! Owner is the real deals and everyone was friendly. You have to come here!

The food is amazing(pizza, Meatball Parm sandwich and Philly are incredible!) and the people are the nicest! And did I mention the homemade cheesecake and cannoli?!? If you’re a foodie who cares more about the food than anything else, then you gotta make this place a regular stop in your dining schedule.

Seriously, the people are nice, the pizzas are great, and the deserts are really amazing. Our pizza was SO cheesy and delicious. The crust was great and the pizza was cut into huge floppy slices. Also, I don’t know that I’ve EVER had better tiramisu. I want to order that by the sheet! I can’t wait to try more on their menu.

This place is so good! not only is there pizza delicious but their customer service is outstanding! when you walk in they’re so friendly it is a refreshing change from the the normal pizza shop. Not to mention they make the most delicious fried dough and their black and white cookies or as my husband from New York calls them«half moons» are spot on!

Danoto’s is the newest, best pizza parlor in Longmont; only 3 months in business. If you want the freshest dough, toppings, salads, deserts, the only real bagels in Longmont, and everything made to order, here it is for you at Danoto’s. Many claim to be the best but put to test, Danoto’s is always on point; my personal choice for lunch in Longmont. The owners are friendly, always welcoming, and the food is always fresh and appealing. I was won after trying samples they handed out at the July 4th festival on Main Street.
