On Saturday, I called Rosalee’s for a pick-up order. The lady who answered the phone stated that they were«too busy to accept phoned-in orders so I’d have to come there in person to place it.» Not wanting to stand there for 30 minutes and wait for the pizza, I picked another place. I’m not sure what the deal is with this policy, but this place should reconsider.

My NY friend just got back from the city and told me the pizza was better here in Longmont. I’m like whattttt? How come she never told me about this place? It’s REALLY good pizza. I’ve done the Scott’s Pizza Tours in NYC so I’ve had some good pies. Blown away.

Absolutely incredible food. Sausage knots were to die for. Sicilian style pie was exactly what my Grandparents used to make in their pizza place in Rhode Island. And to finish, the chocolate pudding was out of this world. So happy right now and can’t wait to come back over and over! Service was impeccable and loved Amy so much!

Great NY style pizza. I like this place for lunch. A couple slices and a beer is perfect. And the folks are friendly and helpful. My only gripe is the place is way too noisy. The music is usually too loud to have a conversation and actually hear the other person. But I go for a quick pizza lunch so that’s fine. Not a place for a date or if you want to talk rather than shout. That’s why only 3 stars.

Unbelievably good pizza. It is very slow to get your pie, so I often call ahead with my pizza order. My family enjoy sitting in the back patio area with one of their genius pizza creations. ALWAYSOUTSTANDING. Closed Sunday and Monday.

THIS is what pizza is supposed be: *****A crust that holds its own with toppings, still crunches in the mouth, when held is — frankly — virile. *****Toppings combined delicately and not too much like every other so-called pizza that drowns all sensory satisfaction in excess as if more is best. *****Beauty on the plate, naturally and appropriately displayed on a stand. These pies would not look out of place at the Regent Seven Seas Captain’s table, though I saw not one table cloth, starched or otherwise. And, this is no gourmet or hipster pizza — there is no trendy anything happening here. The magic is more complete than that. *****The toppings are carefully chosen — proscuitto that is almost creamy in texture, a salad with a fairy tale flavored champagne dressing, and again pizza toppings set atop a blistered and excellent crust. *****All combined, Rosalee’s pizza chefs make pies that are delicate in flavor and free — free of excess fats, salts, and excess anything that is used to fill appetities in America today. Shockingly, the final product is hardly austere but a balance of pleasure that is wonderful to experience with eyes, nose, mouth and more. This pizza feeds an ancient memory. This is «Old World» cooking and hails back to the earliest Italian immigrants to America. *The heavenly experience that is Rosalee’s is very much worth the displeasure of squeezing into too small of quarters laid out horribly. The host is in the middle of the too-small room so no matter which way you come you have to walk around and through the masses to put your name on the list and then to hope you are found when you precious turn is called. The sound in the room ensures you won’t hear your name being called, between the guests, the overhead music and, if you are lucky enough to grab one, the electromechanical sounds from one of the few pinballs machines scattered in the back. ***This lack of space causes what would otherwise be courteous and easy-going waitstaff into trembling levels of cantankerous. Who wouldn’t? They are trying to manage to fit too many people in too small a space who have to wait too long a time to be seated. Then, trying to get them to said seat without bumping others already seated — well, your layer of patience would wear thin too. Still, it is very much worth it. And if you could do without the experience of crushing humanity, call ahead and order to go. Rosalee’s are marvelous things — hot, and fragrantly smoked — and can be enjoyed anywhere. And I mean anywhere. Even an unfinished basement in the middle of Platteville. If that is your case, though, I do feel sorry and highly recommend you enjoy them in the too-small quarters of the building on west Main Street, between 4th and 5th Avenues.

It’s a place to get pizza that People from the East coast get very nostalgic about when eating a piece. It will please everyone else that are lucky to be eating there also.

Wow. Terrific thin crust pizza. Huge servings. Wonderful ambiance. Great for fun date night. Had the Margarita pizza with mushrooms. Listening to the live music of the MOJO medicine Show was just the best. Fun night.

Great pizza and the Sausage is fresh ground. I highly recommend this place. I would go so far as to say it is the best in Longmont.

Amy and James have a real gem on Main. The ingredients are incredible and so many things are in house, even sausage. Authentic white pizza is my favorite. Something for everyone however– salami and basil, ricotta and bacon, house sausage and onion, Etc. Look for the special lunch slice with pesto drops on it. Out of this world. These guys know good beer, always a few very good IPA’s and then a handful of local delights to satisfy the beer palates if Boulder County. From the décor, the music, the staff, the food and the location… this place deserves 6 stars. Tip– Tuesday’s lunch is $ 2 slices and $ 2 Genesee Pints. Local music on Wed.

Great sausage and roasted garlic pizza by the slice. 11am — 2pm they have a lunch special by the slice. The soft drinks are bottled and a little small for my liking at $ 2.50. For the price of fountain drinks it doesn’t considerably take away from profits. To bring a family of four, each having two drinks would be a bit costly. That is my only gripe. Food and service was excellent. If you are an Arte’s Pizza fan in Loveland you’ll love this place. Can’t wait to try a whole pie!

One of the best pizzas I have had since coming to Colorado. Most places just don’t get how to make a good pizza, this place does. It’s kind of inbetween a new york style and an authentic italian style pizza, fresh toppings, great dough, great sauce. I love Rosalee’s pizza!

Amazing pizza! Beautiful place! The smell was amazing when we walked into the door. I loved the feel of the place with the old kitchen tables and the exposed brick. I love that it was a locally owned place. It was nice to see a fun new place with an old down town feel. The pizza was so yummy!

Being from the north east, there’s nothing more exciting than finding an amazing pizza crust in Colorado. The slice manages to have a slightly crunchy bottom, but still droops if you pick it up by crust. Perfect! Additionally the cheese on the salimi and basil pie had a pretty good taste. The sauce was exceedingly mellow, which is good given how much other flavor is going on, but I still think I would have liked just a little more kick to it. My wife got the gluten free polenta pie, which she said was very good«even though it’s not _really_pizza». The ricotta and basil were great on it. The salads also looked super fresh, and I really want to try the sausage garlic knots when I go back.

We have gone here a couple of times now, and I can say both times we’ve had pretty much the same experience. Let’s start with the best part of this place — the staff and the service. They are«unique» but provide top notch service! They are all very friendly, and attentive — even when it’s some what busy(never been there when it’s packed because we tend to go during the middle of the week). If every place had staff this good, very few would end up going out of business. Food — My wife got their caesar salad and said she’d go back just for that. Apparently it’s a really good caesar salad :). Pizza — OK, here’s the cold hard truth, they are good however there are a couple of issues. First, the time it takes to get them, even when there just isn’t many people in there it takes about 30 min’s to get a simple pizza — these thin crust pizza’s should only take them a few min’s to cook, and maybe 1 or 2 min’s to put together. While the thin crust is pretty good, the whole pizza is only OK. And for the price, I would expect better. Again, they aren’t bad pizza’s and I’d rather get a pizza here than one of the fast food pizza places, but all in all. It’s just OK. Beer — MMMmmm beer. They have a pretty decent selection of local and craft beers on tap and in the bottle. The food is 3 star, the beer is a 4 and the staff is a 5. So I split all that and made it a 4 star rating.

This place was/is FANTASTIC! We have searched Hi & Lo for anything that resembled a New York«slice» in Colorado and boy did we find it and a whole lot more! The pizza was perfect, the sausage knots were to die for, the beer was cold, plentiful and as unique as the décor and the very friendly patrons!!! Not to mention how hospitable, entertaining and interesting our hosts were. The owners passion for great food served in a laid back but jovial environment was the icing on this perfect pie

OMG finally. Really good pizza in Longmont! We enjoyed the garlic knots and the sausage pizza tonight. The garlic knots were very tasty and I ordered them because I had heard such good things. It was all true. If they had just a sprinkling of kosher salt, they would have been perfection. But really, it is all about the pizza, and I thoroughly enjoyed ours. The crust was very good. Thin with just the right amount of crunch. The sauce was excellent. It was totally what I wanted. Huzzah. We got the round pizza which they said serves 2 – 4 people. Somehow I was surprised when the pizza came out and it seemed really big. We had about half left over. They also serve a square/rectangular pizza which serves more, but we didn’t try it, and I have heard that the round is best. Nice atmosphere, and will be even nicer when the weather is warm and the garage door is open. Service was a-okay. I can’t wait to try the other pizzas! woo!

Walking into a place that has photos of Sally’s, Patsy Grimaldis, Pepes and my All time favorite ‘lombardis’ shows these people know their pizza. I know my pizza. I grew up on the east in NYC/NJ and spent many days nights frequenting some of the best establishments.(They are missing Joes of bleecker though, my fav cheese slice) but, loIt’s a cool place. Sort of a LES/Brooklyn pizza joint meets colorado. You wouldn’t see dylan, bluegrass posters or photos of Jerry Garcia at a NY spot. I opted for the margherita. It was way different then a margherita you would get in NYC, to me it was sort of a hybrid between a cheese and a margherita. It was flimsy and greasy. I like it greasy. I wish the crust had a little more flavor but it wasn’t terrible. Everyone was nice that worked there and it’s easily the best in longmont, which is not hard too do considering there is no good pizza in longmont. No, Anthony’s is not good unless you like pizza that taste like sawpaper. I will go back and try some slices. They say it’s been slammed so I assume it will stay that way. I give the owners credit as they did there studying. To me it’s just too much of a letdown when I see the ‘NY’ style imitation places out here and anywhere but the tri state. At least this place isn’t just trying to bite off NY. They are adding there own flavor and also seem to have a good beer selection. I will go back! EDIT: I have gone back and ordered the plain cheese. I am now a regular after making that switch! Cheese pizza reminds me of pies I would get back home in jersey/nyc. I am here about 1,2 x a week and usually during lunch for the discounts and specials. Very welcoming staff, owners etc. love it

We came around 2 to get some food on a bike ride stop along Main Street. This was our first time in since they opened and the decore is very nice, they did a good job fixing up the place and the roll up window to the street was cool. Seating is a bit awkward since they are really aimed at groups. There is a «community table», the aforementioned bar to the street, the actual bar, a table outside, and a coffee table and couch set-up for those of you in less than 6 people groups. We chose the street bar as it was a nice day… One can sit inside or outside there. We sat inside. We were give waters as we looked over the menu. The menu is where we ran into issues… Again, this is geared towards groups. With two of us, we had no desire for an extra large pizza and they offered no slices until happy hour, which starts at 3. So we got bready garlic knots. The knots come with no sauce, just some buttery garlic topping, but not a lot if it(not dip-able). The bread was good, but with only a few knots each, we weren’t really impressed and went elsewhere shortly after for more food. Service was ok, but our server was not around when we wanted to leave so yay for having cash… Overall, a neat space and if you have a larger group it seems like a fun place to go. Otherwise, go during happy hour to get a slice of pizza and a salad.

I gotta eat this pie all the time I keep it on my my mind Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh Gotta eat this pie, all my life Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh Oh baby this was a delicious pizza pie! Hands down the best in Longmont. I care most about two things when it comesa to tha pizza. Crust & Sauce. Made with fresh dough you can taste, this crust is CRISPY! There is no sog in sight. And the sauce was light and full of flavor. Just perfect. We ordered the salami and basil. Hit the spot! The restaurant is beautifully decorated but only holds around 50 folks so plan accordingly. Although we did see a super large party at two pushed together tables that were thoroughly enjoying themselves. Also, saw the garlic and sausage knots pass under my nose and they looked and smelled amazing! Happy Hour from 4−6pm and by the slice lunch specials with the most genuine, enthusiastic, attentive staff will make this a go to dining locale for me. … I’ll spend my days locked in a haze… no way I’m forgetting babe… I gotta eat this pie all the time… Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh.
