I usually avoid writing bad reviews because it could be skewed by one single bad experience. But I have been going to UC2020 Optometry for about 5 or 6 years and I am consistently given wrong quotes or over charged for their failure to disclose hidden costs. Case in point, my first visit resulted in misquotes that increased the total price twice. Apparently there is a difference when glasses are fitted in-house vs. out-sourced and staff didn’t know the difference between the actual cost of the frame. Just today, I went in for a follow-up to an annual exam because I was told to come back after a week with a new pair of contacts for dryness(emphasis on follow-up meaning staff has two chances to look at my chart). 10 minutes or so of chit-chat and what not with the optometrist. After all is done, I’m told contact lens exam is not covered. $ 90DOLLAR out of the pocket. Lessons learned: 1) Just because it’s in writing doesn’t mean it’s the final price. If you are in doubt, have the optometrist recheck and ASK if the glasses will be cut in-house or not($$$). 2) Before you start your exam, ask to see if it is covered by your insurance! 3) OR Just don’t go here. I would’ve given a single star but the doctors are OK. But the staff really need a lot of training.

Please do not waste your time going here. I have never written a bad review about a place before BUT people need to know the truth about the horrid experience you will encounter coming here. First off the receptionists are so incredibly rude. They are not professional at all and treat you like you are a piece of trash on the side of the road. During my eye exam the receptionists did not help me with the«glasses case» nor did they assist me during my whole entire visit. After I picked out a pair and paid for them they gave me no further directions as to when my glasses should be done. They basically looked at me like I was wasting their time so I just left. So I called within a week to see if my glasses were ready and they rudely replied with a «NO» and hung-up on me. I called a second time the following week and they hung-up on me again. Mind you I am not a rude person and did not give them attitude at all during this whole time. I had to call a 3rd time to find out that my glasses were finally ready… and I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t have bothered calling me to let me know that anyways. So I picked up my glasses and they just handed them to me and looked at me again like I was wasting their oh so precious time. I had to ask them to adjust my glasses and after they did that(along w/having an awful attitude) they gave me my glasses back and resumed back to what they were doing. I had to say bye to them. Needless to say I WILLNOTBEGOINGBACKHEREEVERAGAIN. As for the receptionists… please read a book about costumer service or do us all a favor and just quit because you«girls» obviously hate what you’re doing.

I give it two stars because I like the doctor and she was friendly an professional, however the receptionists don’t smile and seem pretty unfriendly. I made an appointment for 4:30 but I had to wait more than half an hour to actually see the dr. What’s the point of making an appointment if you have to wait … I should have just come back when they were ready to see me instead of waste my time.

Please do not waste your time coming here. My first visit was last year and the office staff are all rude. They have no idea what professionalism means. The first doctor i saw was great. I can not remember her name. However, I had to come back because my contacts were the wrong prescription and had to see another doctor. She was incredibly rude and even though I told her my vision was blurry she looked at me as tough I was lying. Then I asked her how my yearly contacts that I would get worked and again like I was bothering her or something. You are there to help your clients not make them feel like a bother. Anyway, I tried again this last month. Goodness was that a bad idea. Ok, so I go in at my appointment time and again staff is the same. Then they have me do all the te4sts before seeing the doctor. I took my contacts off and sat down to wait until called. Then 10 minutes into waiting to see the doctor(after waiting(5 minutes when I arrived) i was called to the front desk. The doctor wasn’t going to be at the office for another 45 minutes. «would you like to wait?» Umm… no that’s why I make an appointment! Ridiculous.

is very friendly and helpful i love her but every one els that works there is LAZYANDLIERS when i went there every one was friendly and said my glasses was going to be done in 1 week i called in on that day they said its not done yet i really need them for work so then the receptionist said it will be done in anthother week called again same BS then i finnaly went in person i asked them is my glasses done the she said oh im sorry we haven’t got started on it yet then i said i wanted my refund they she said its to late were allready working on it!!! i was like fine when will it be done she said ill call you… 3 hours later she called its done!!! wow it only to 3 hours to cut, shape, and get the right magnification, horrible i went here 3 times of course docter vu is very friendly :) and cute but they did it the same BS with my contacts and my other pair of glasses

very nice staff, eye doctor was helpful I found the perfect eye glasses here and left super satisfied! I’ve gone to lens crafters for glasses and later found the same frames here for much cheaper, I’m definitely returning for more!

I give this place a muthaeffin Negative 2 stars! The customer service here is bloody awful, is it that hard to crack a damn smile? Unfortunately, we had to go back there three weekends in a row because my husband was having problems with his contacts and each time we had to wait over an hour to be seen by the doctor. I lost it after the third visit. Why offer appointments when you make your patients wait that long??? Ugh!!! Enough said, do not give this place your hard earned money! Don’t bother reading any other reviews, do yourself a favor and find another optometrist!

I used to work for this office and actually I do miss working there. They understand that EVERYONE has needs especially me cus it was pregnancy that I dealt with when I was there. They understood because they also had kids and they were awesome Dr’s. Yes there was a wait but its because it was a medical and dental office and it would be really jam packed especially because the Dr’s rarely ever said no.

I’ve been going here for years! Dr. Vu is an awesome optometrist. She’s very professional and reliable. The service is quick. The only two things that suck about the office is that the wait can be a little long even if you make an appointment(but that might be all medical offices) and the parking is limited.

Dr. Vu is excellent. I have been going to this office since 2006. The receptionist staff is great. They have a large selection of eyewear with a range of brand name and pricing. I highly recommend UC2020! Thanks for helping me see better.
