Just travelled 40 minutes, the place closes at 6:00pm. I walked in for NATURALLY a doughnut but they didn’t have any. They said they sold out. I paid 2 tolls just to get here. I am disappointed, my first time in long beach since late 80’s and the last time of my life. I’m on my way to Lynbrook to try another shop that closes later and has time to make the doughnuts.

I can’t say enough about the doughnuts made here! Any event where I’m asked to bring dessert, I always go to Dough Hut. I haven’t met anyone who doesn’t like the doughnuts from here. I’ve even had people that don’t like doughnuts try one and have been hooked ever since. Seriously worth every bite!

Best Donuts I have ever put in my mouth. Pleasant and efficient staff. My wife puts the coffee up on a pedestal, stating it is quite possibly the best coffee in the area. Do it.

Very fun and creative selection of doughnuts. They are smaller then a regular size doughnut which I liked but they are definitely much thicker and not as soft and fluffy as other doughnuts I’ve had. All in all I would recommend this spot for anyone who wants a yummy snack

«I wish I tried one before spending $ 19 for a dozen.» The donuts looked great, there was a nice selection, and they were fresh. The toppings and fillings were delicious, but sadly there was so much oil that after a bite I just couldn’t eat anymore. I tried leaving the donuts on paper towels to draw out some oil, and it worked the paper towel was soaked through, but my donut was still too oily to eat. I will say the shop is very clean, and the girl working was very nice.

A great excuse to take a drive to the beach. The donut ideas are very unique which adds a great feel of excitement and adventure. A quaint hole-in-the-wall type of establishment. Its simplicity only adds to its charm. Now down to the donuts themselves. I ordered a fruity pebble and maple bacon donut. Of the two, the fruity pebble donut was just a great burst of flavor and personally my favorite. The maple bacon donut is nothing to look down at by any means however. A very cool donut idea executed excellently. My girlfriend was feeling like an ultimate basic white girl that day and ordered the jelly donut. Still a delicious donut, but with so many other fun combinations, it’s a place to have fun and stray from the norm. Fair prices along with the other aforementioned compliments leaves me no choice but to rate a 5⁄5!

I challenge anyone to find a better donut(doughnut?) in Nassau or Suffolk Counties. I’d be curious to know if even the east forks had a better donut shop. Very fresh, and open at 6 am, for those who need their donuts early. The donuts are on the small side, but that’s good, since they pack so much flavor(and fat, but if you’re worried about fat then whatever are you doing in a donut shop). I’m not sure I have a favorite, but I haven’t tried the donuts I don’t think I would like, so there’s that.

The best ice coffee in Long Beach. The donuts are expertly crafted in unique fashion(delicious). I think DD down the block is in trouble.

Puts Dunkin to shame. With flavors like maple bacon and pistachio, this is a truly gourmet donut shop. The owner is a great guy as well!

The creativity, freshness, and taste of the doughnuts here is outstanding. We tried the cinn-a-crumb, French toast, and vanilla cream crumb doughnuts which were are all delicious. The staff was very friendly and dedicated to providing a great experience. If you’re interested in trying the maple bacon doughnut, then you better come early. They were sold out around 1:00PM on the day we went.

Super friendly and helpful staff! I eat a donut everyday but since I live in Roslyn and we don’t have fresh donuts. I get dunkin but this was LOADS better! Such a good fresh donut. I’m excited to go back and try other flavored

Getting donuts from here is the way to go. They are the perfect size so that you can actually be happy with just having one, or depending on your appetite, have a couple or few to eat different flavors. The flavors of donuts are creative and fun, and the shop itself is small and cute, which fits its donuts appropriately. They are not expensive and we usually leave with many to save for later. The dough is fresh and soft, and the variety is great.

I was a happy camper. My donut was tasty. I got the fruity pebble with pink frosting! The donut was lite, fluffy, great combo and not to sweet. It wasn’t greasy either. The have a rack and all the donuts are on them and when they are sold out they take a flag out of the donuts in the two racks in the front.(I didn’t know them). When we got up to the front we told her we wanted one of each new they were sold out of everything except ONE fruity pebble and cinnamon! So my friend gave her a debit/credit card and she said«cash only». When my friend was going to get cash out of the ATM I asked the lady where the sign was she said it says ATM only on the outside. By the time she came back the sprinkle donuts were being made so we got one of those. Six donuts total for 7 bucks. Great deal! In the city they are a little bigger but 4 bucks each. So all of those donut lovers this is a great deal. I know it’s a small location, but why is there ONE person making donuts on a Sunday? To be really honest I don’t get it. Even if you came in super early it doesn’t make any sense. People love their donuts and coffee on a Sunday its, «Sunday Funday» so we are going to need someone else to help with donut making on the weekends! When I walked outside I checked for the«ATM only» sign, which it does. Although, it doesn’t say cash only anywhere. I know I’m NOT brand new or do I own a business, but they need a sign. I mean there was a BOA down the street and my friend could’ve went there to avoid the fee, but NOOOO we waited in a very long line to not know they were cash only. Anyways it’s over and done with. I suggest if you are in the area stop by and get a donut or five! We got home and I tried the donut and it was fresh and delicious too. I liked the flavors and if wasn’t anything I accepted. I enjoyed it very much.

Ordered: Maple bacon Pros– The doughnut was a perfect balance between heavy and light. The bacon bits were decently sized and went well with the sweetness of the maple. I also liked that the doughnuts were of a small-medium size so that you could have room to try other flavors.

Very special little donoughts. Small little shop with giant flavors and gourmet tastes. A dozen cost me $ 20 but it was the perfect thing to bring to a small dinner party. I really liked the cannoli donought, bacon maple, cinnamon and vanilla.

My first review for some reason vaporized, but anyways having been going here since they opened shortly before sandy. Now the donuts, people complain about the size, well IMO they’re perfect, any larger would be a belly bomber and really why are we so super sized about everything. The flavors are fun yet simple and the donut is cake/dense like not a fluffy dunkin donuts sort. Their coffee is aces, the service has always been great, the owner is a Long Beach local and knows everyone which is nice. On a side note, I recently used them for an event and order 125 donuts and they were a total whimsical hit, everyone loved them. Thanks Dough Hut!!!

Hot damn these are some good doughnuts! This tiny spot in the west end is cranking out anywhere from 10 – 12 varieties of ‘nuts on the regular and they all pass the test. Delicious. We got everything from a simple chocolate sprinkle to fruity pebble, cinnamon, vanilla crumble, maple bacon… My fave? The frosted cinnamon one. So good. The girls that work there are sweethearts too. You can grab hot/iced coffee and tea along with rolls and bagels here as well. Only reason I took a star off is because they are so thick and heavy that I could only stomach one. The oil saturated the box after a while too. Delicious, yes, but heavy on the tummai. Bottom line, do it. Protip: Cash only
