Alex is amazing.
This is going to be a long review, because there are so many good things to say about him.
First, I travel an hour to see him. Anytime I go anywhere else, I have to go to Alex to have my hair fixed.
I trust him completely, from day one. Usually I don’t exactly know what I want. Sometimes I show him a couple pictures. We have a quick discussion, and he cuts.
He is very easy to talk to. It’s never awkward.
He has ideas and the talent to pull them off. He can do safe cuts and make them look great. And he can do unique cuts too. He is very versatile. And seriously — very talented.
He knows hair. He knows what cuts will look good on me and bad. And it’s not uncomfortable at all. He remembers me and knows my style. Sometimes when I get there, he’ll propose something I hadn’t even thought of, and of course, it looks great. Sometimes he’ll show me a picture and say, I thought of you when I saw this. Awesome!
The conversation is interesting. He’s a cool guy. The music is great, and the space is chill and cool. Appointments are easy to make.
The hair wash is so relaxing. He blow dries my hair and shows me how to style it and what products to use (though he never pushes me to buy anything). He makes sure there are no hairs anywhere… this is one of my major peeves with salons. After a hair cut with Alex, you can go out and enjoy the styling, feeling like a princess, instead of having to run home and take a shower.
Once, I went to a formal party that night, and everyone complimented my hair.
I don’t know what else to say, except go to Alex! I always have people asking me where I get my hair cut.

On my first visit, Alex went out of his way to make me feel welcome AND he did a great job on my hair. I will be going back for my future hair care needs.

I’ve been seeing Alex for nearly 10 years so when I heard he was opening his salon I was super excited! He is amazing with coloring (I’ve had white hair since I can remember) from low-​lights to high-​lights, the color looks amazing. My haircuts are great, stylish, flattering and easy to maintain for my hair type. I always leave feeling amazing (specially after he blow dries my hair) and confident. I recommend going to Alex if you want your hair to be the envy of others. (Trust me he is worth it… I drive from DTLA to the LBC just for my hair styling with Alex).

I loveeeeeeee Alex. I am one of the few guys he has ever done hair on and he always does it to perfection. Whether I want a pompadour or dying my hair crimson red, he has you covered. Just make sure you are conscious about your natural hair color/​texture so he can work his magic on you. =D

Alex has been my hair stylist for almost 2 years. Believe me he’s the best EVER! Not only as a stylist but colorist. I moved away 6 months ago but, still travel over an hour to get my hair done by him. No one else is touching my locks!

This salon is awesome! Prior to my first trip here, I had not styled my hair in a good while. I knew that I wanted a change, but didn’t know where to start. Courtney did an amazing job of giving me an awesome color and cut. She’s got a great personality and is extremely passionate about hair. I received a ton of compliments on my new do. I love that the salon is clean and displays art from local artists. I am excited to go back and I highly recommend!

After my first visit to get my hair cut and colored, I will definitely be coming back… Permanently! Courtney is such a great stylist and person! Awesome experience :)

Absolutely amazing. My hair looks and feels so great. I’ve been searching for a long time to find a new hair stylist ever since my girlfriend moved to NYC and took her hands with her. Alex is awesome and did such a wonderful job. He listened and gave me EXACTLY what I wanted. My roommate is had her hair done with me here and Courtney was her stylist. She put some gorgeous highlights in her hair and it looks beautiful. We r both leaving feeling SEXY! DEFINATELY ready to put on some heels and a cute dress for a night on the town. Thanks again

I love this salon! I was in desperate need for a haircut — Alex gave me a fresh look without taking off too much of my length and my bangs have never looked better! Alex is a talented artist who really listens to understand the end result you’re looking for. I highly recommend checking this place out!

Alex was amazing! My hair is very damaged and I desperately needed a haircut. I had been avoiding getting a haircut because I find that Stylist tend to cut a bit too much, leaving me with shorter than desired hair. I expressed to him that I’ve been trying to grow out my hair for a while but the damaged ends break off. He was very informative about the products and the techniques he was using and the why behind it all. He cut my hair after washing and blow drying it, eliminating any chance of cutting it too short. He left my hair looking healthy and feeling great. NO HAIR TRAUMA at all. Many people can understand the fear that comes over you when you need to cut your bangs. He cut them in such a way that made them fall exactly how I would have styled them. I walked into work the next day and I was hit with compliments on how good my hair looked all day. Definitely going back! His hours are flexible and his prices are great too!.
