My experience is only related to their trade in program, and I was clearly mad with the outcome. There were two employees(guy and girl) helping out in store on that day. Unfortunately, the girl was not the one helping me. The guy was helping me with the trade-in. He had to constantly bug the girl during the process. And because he clicked on the wrong button, the trade in was finalized before it was supposed to be. Now I am stuck with three items because the maximum allowed for the trade in program was five items and he only did two. The guy then blamed it on the girl because«she told me to do so». Well, you were supposed to know your stuff better-you do get paid to do this, right? He then went behind and never came out again, leaving the poor girl employee to deal with a very upset customer(me). Well, I don’t know what was the deal but I hope RadioShack would train their employee better in the future.

I’ve been to this radio Shack location many times over the last 8 years and, this location I like the best because they always have watch batteries that I no longer have access to from when I did repairs. They have a very large, reasonable and very organized selection of accessories for just about anything… I mean anything! Clean store, friendly staff who greet you immediately and tell you of many comparable specials. However, when I tell you«NOTHANKS, I don’t want to purchase a Verizon phone since I just purchased my Smart Phone in May 5 times-NO means NO! Damn it!» Well, no to you but not [ NO ] to what is being referenced to in this song:

Is the traffic circle area really that ghetto to where you need to lock every piece of merchandise down? I came in for a set of headphones and they were locked to the wall. OK so I wait for some service. There are two guys working, one at the register and one helping people on the floor. The guy helping on the floor finishing and walks to the back and disappears. I go to the guy at the register, and a minute later the guy from the back reappears and runs to some people who just walked in after I had already been standing there obviously in need of some help. Or maybe I’m just invisible. The guy at the register finally acknowledges but then decides to help more people at the register. Well, finally 5 minutes later I finally get some help. I give this place two stars just because the headphones were cheaper than those at Best Buy. And no, I don’t need any frickin batteries!

After looking through several other Radio Shacks for a particularly Radio Shacky item, this was the only location with a modicum of helpfulness. While the previous dead-behind-the-eyes salesfolks were only interested in selling me a redundant cell phone, the young lady here took the time to look up the goods and find em on the sales floor. In and out in a quick minute. Take notes Other-Radio-Shacks and learn your inventory, or at least visit your own website. And keep your GoPhones to yourself.

Haven’t been to a Radio Shack since the 80’s. Needed some special batteries and I knew RS would have them. I feel bad they are going out of business, but they are kind of obsolete now. Not a soul in there. The guy working jumped at the chance to help me like he hadn’t spoken to anyone all week. He tried to sell me anything he could. I don’t think I need to come back for anything any time soon… but I’m glad they were there when I needed them

I feel«au contraire» to the naysayers on Radio Shack. Compared to Best Buy, they ALWAYS have what I’m looking for and at a better price. Plus, like all Radio Shacks, they have hard to find items — power cords, cables. Their return process is easy and fast. My favorite.

Once upon a time, Radio Shack was unique. It stocked all the oddball electronic gadgets, connectors and cords that you could never find anyplace else. Now, it seems, Radio Shack wants to be just another cellphone store. I went into this store looking for car charging cord for a portable DVD player. There were two employees, each with one customer. You wouldn’t think it would take long to get help. But these customers weren’t just buying stuff, they each had some sort of issues with their cellphone accounts. Can I add another line? Am I eligible for an upgrade? Can I add another user? And on and on. After each question, the employees had to tap away at their computers o find the answer. I finally gave up and left. But I did come back, and got to ask about the charger cord I wanted. The woman I spoke to said not only did this store not have such a cord, NO Radio Shack would have it. If this is true, it shows how things have changed, because I bought one such cord a year ago in another Radio Shack. There’s plenty of stores that sell cell phones, and now Radio Shack is one of them. But it seems they’re ignoring the business that got them where they are today.

Whenever I go to a Radio Shack, I feel like the apocalypse has happened. Chaos is rampant, panic everywhere, and everything costs a gabillion times as much as it usually should. For example… one of the computers was out of printer paper. The register dude was FREAKINGOUT. People… I know you have a customer, but… it can’t be that hard to go in the back and GET A NEWROLL. SERIOUSLY. I give this place a point for the fact that soon after I walked in, a dude helped me out and led me straight to what I was looking for. That same dude helped me out when I had to come back for a SECOND time in an hour to get the wire that I was lacking at home. It gets another point for… I had a reason earlier, but I forgot it. That’s not Radio Shack’s fault. So said point stays. HOWEVER. Minus one point for the price. For an adaptor box thingie, it was 25BUCKS. And they only had one model. WTF! Minus one point for the fact them not having 8 pack boxes of AAA batteries. I believe they do it on purpose, that way you buy 24 packs and end up paying more than you would if they actually stocked correctly. Minus one point for the fact that every single Radio Shack I’ve been to has been in a cracked out, inconvenient(parking-wise) strip mall. But at least I can now use the TV in my living room. Until today, it was a big, ugly, dusty paperweight. With no paper underneath it.
