Great pizza! I highly recommend this place. Cook to its perfection! Never burnt, like most custom pizza I had

I actually really enjoyed my pizza here and actually think it’s 10x better than Pieology lol. Sorry not sorry to Pieology lovers. When you create your pizza at Pieology, their toppings seem to never stick, but for here, everything stuck to my pizza. Everything was cooked perfectly. It had the perfect crunch and oven-burnt taste. I know when I get a pizza at Pieology, the dough never seems cooked all the way as well, but for here, it was cooked thoroughly. I ordered the BBQ Chicken Pizza with sausage and basil as my extras. They offered to put garlic butter around the crust and that was a nice touch. It gave the crust some extra flavor and crunch. I loved my pizza here. Definitely coming back some day.

This place is ehhhhh, they are not on my so good list. Went for lunch one day, there was about 3 people ahead of me. The young lady asks me how many pizzas? I told her 3, I want one Blue cheese with stake. She replies with«you let them know what you want». I waited about 7 minutes. My turn approach and I told the same young lady blue cheese with stake, she said«we don’t have that pizza, we don’t even have stake». I told her«it would have been nice if you would have told me that in the beginning» I wasted about 20 minutes of my lunch, the worst part is that I was ordering for two other coworkers and the blue cheese with steak was for one of them. Which means I couldn’t just order anything.

Came in on Tuesday and the staff were incredibly nice and accommodating to everything. Never a bad experience here.

I started coming to Toppings because it was good and economical. Over the past year or two the price went up a bit but still it was very reasonable. You could have as much on your pizza that would fit on top. All included in the price. But now today when I asked for a little more mozzarella he said $ 2 extra. Kinda dumb Toppings. So I asked the attendant if I can have all the extra meat I want he said yes no charge. He said yes cheese is very expensive. Anyway I could go on and on about how stupid the whole thing was. But I’m not coming back here anymore because cheese is my favorite I like extra cheese. And I’m not paying two dollars.

I’m a regular customer here and I simply love their pizzas. They have thin crust pizza and you can customize your toppings. That’s what makes them special. N they roast your pizza n the crust is crispy.

This had always been our favorite place until today. 5:30, empty restaurant. There were 2 young girls talking to each other behind the counter up front, no hello, no eye contact, nothing. They literally keep talking to each other. When they were finished, one left into the back, while the other wiped 2 bottles before looking up. Still no hello. Only«how many pizzas?» We just left.

Service was amazing, Leslie was super nice and dealt with all my stupid requests. Really enjoyed my time here.

Seriously one of the best pizza places I’ve been to. The location is great since it’s right across from my apartment and the quality is always awesome. Leslie is probably one of the nicest workers I’ve seen there! She was extremely patient with my order and gave a little insight on what was good since I was pretty indecisive on some of the toppings. Keeps me coming back!

Yaii for toppings! Place is actually kinda cool. Build your own pizza. Choose your dough, sauce, toppings etc. & boom in less than 5 minutes you have a delicious thin crust pizza. Lunch time can be kinda busy but other than that great place.

So glad they seem to have gotten rid of the creep that was the focus of past reviews.

Decent pizza! When it’s done your way, you can’t really complain. The only thing to compare is the sauce and the crust. The sauce was good! The crust was a little to hard for my liking. OVERALL: decent choose it yourself pizza place. SUGGESTION: try Blaze or Pieology instead.

While not the best pizza I’ve ever had, it’s definitely tasty and I eat here regularly. I usually order the Bianca — white sauce, mozzarella, chicken, garlic, Italian herbs, sea salt, olive oil. I love that you have the option of making changes(adding as much as you want!) without additional charges. The pizza is thin crust; crispy but still soft. When I am very hungry, I can eat a whole pizza myself, but typically I have about two slices left over for a great next-day snack. The staff is pretty friendly, though I never had them give me any suggestions and just figured out what I liked on my own. The place could be a little cleaner(more frequent wipe downs of tables and counters, sweeping of floors) but it’s not to the point of being bothersome. Overall, I would say this is my local go-to for quick, build-your-own pizza.

Location: In a sort of strip mall right off the traffic circle on Ximeno, there’s usually plenty of parking here so no worries about that. The store itself is kind of small so make sure you watch for it though — the first time we drove by the sign wasn’t lit up! Service: We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door and everyone working seemed really friendly! I could tell they were handling some phone orders when we showed up but we were totally content to wait since we had to examine the menu! I know I’m a little late to the craze, but this was my first visit to a «make your own» pizza place. As soon as the guy had finished making 3 – 4 pizzas he took our order. It really is fun to go down the line and pick pretty much anything you want. My husbands pizza looked like it wasn’t going hold together because he put so much stuff on it! Only note of caution here is if you come at a busier time, you could potentially be waiting awhile. It really is a very small place and despite the fact that we were the only ones in line when we got there — we still waited about 5 – 7 minutes before we could place our order because he was making phone orders. Not a giant deal, but I did see some of the pictures posted here with the giant lines… Food: Again, this was my first visit to this kind of place so I have nothing to compare it to, but in my opinion — YUM. The crust was thin and crispy but strong enough to hold up to all the toppings we stuck on them. It wasn’t THAT kind of pizza where the crust wilts if you put too much on it. It was perfect. And still good the next day for leftovers! I made a kind of bbq chicken pizza and it was DELICIOUS. I loved being able to put spinach and artichoke hearts on a typical bbq chicken pizza. My husband made a «meat lovers» kind of pizza(read NOTHINGGREEN) and I really did think it wasn’t going to make it. It actually kind of fell apart in the transfer to the oven, but they managed to save it. He also thoroughly enjoyed his pizza. They have a good selection of cheese and toppings — you can even make salad pizzas! Overall: Will probably be back — its pretty close to where we live so even if Toppings isn’t one of the«big» names in the«make your own pizza» world, we like it.

Toppings is a great concept. I mean, everyone loves the whole chipotle-style way to get food, right? In this day and age, people are picky and like to customize their food. Toppings is absolutely delicious and the aesthetic of the place is so cute. I’m so happy I live right down the street. The fire sauce is delicious. The only thing is, I wish they had an option for a thicker crust. But hey, we are in California so I can’t complain. Regardless, this place is worth the trip. I love going to Toppings. Also a tip — if you shop at the Local Ralphs, your receipt will have a $ 2 off coupon on it, and a buy 2 get 1 free coupon as well.

Dear Toppings Pizza, Your pizza is quite tasty. Your staff lacks customer service skills,(Except for Javier) BUT the pizza is great, so I keep coming back. You have good dough, and your sauces are quality. $ 9.00 for an all-for-me size pizza. I usually break my «healthy eating» by stuffing my face with your Aloha pizza. I am not a big fan of tropical fruits, or any fruit for that matter on my pizza, but your what others would know as maybe«Hawaiian pizza» is amazing. I also think it is pretty awesome that you have all the condiments available for the customer to get themselves. I love ranch with my pizza, so I like that I can get as much as I desire with out having to wait for someone to give me a penny size drip. I would however take the time to focus on your pizza dudes and dudettes. You have a young staff. College, maybe even high school students? Give them a little training on the importance of customer service. If you come here for lunch expect to wait about 15 minutes for your pizza to be done. If you only have a 30 minute lunch… then… it sucks to be you. Love, B. O.(Not to be confused with body odor)

$ 8.45 for a pizza where I can add whatever toppings I want? I am in! I ordered a Gorgonzola and mozzarella cheese mix, pesto sauce, with bacon, sausage, chicken, pepperoni, pineapple, onions, peppers, etc. me and my gf shared and we were pretty stuffed. It took about 5 minutes for the pizza man to stuff it in the oven. There are various sauce bottles in the counter too. It was my first time getting pesto sauce and although it was very yummy, it was a little greasy for me.

Was feeling in the mood for some Pieology and decided to try something a bit closer of the same style pizza. This was the best choice I made today. The pizza was phenomenal! I had the Hickory BBQ Chicken specialty pizza and added bacon to it. It was sooooo damn tasty!

It has the potential for greatness, but Toppings is just average in its current form. The build your own pizza concept is cool, the toppings are seemingly endless, and the pizza itself is delicious. However, they are lacking in execution. The few times I’ve been there is a young 3-person crew. They are trying to hold it together but appear scattered and inefficient. They are bouncing around from pizza maker to cashier to the oven to cutting and boxing, and the whole operation looks disorganized and amateurish. There appears to not be any manager or shift leader directing operations. Also, the place is narrow and cramped, especially during peak meal times. The pick up area is literally right next to the ordering area, and it feels awkward and stuffy. They do not take phone or online orders(there really should be some option for ordering ahead). You are forced to wait in the ordering line, then somehow maneuver yourself back to the pick-up area. It can be a maddening journey. The pizza is tasty and affordable and I like this place, but it needs some improvement to get me in the door more often.

I hesitated with writing my review for Toppings, because I wasn’t sure what else to talk about that hasn’t been already mentioned. $ 8 to customize your own pizza or try one of their specialty pizzas. I always love to come in for the Eggs Benedict pizza. I’ve come to Toppings a couple of times since it opened a year or two ago, and I was always happy with the service and the quality of the pizza. I came in last Saturday with my roommate since she’s never tried it before, and I didn’t get that same customer satisfaction as before. Atmosphere: The atmosphere of the place was pretty dead for Saturday in between lunch and dinner. There was no music playing. The eclectic and hipster décor of the place did not save you from the meh that resonated throughout the eatery. Service: The guys working behind the counter had a pretty bland attitude and only showed the bare minimum of attention for customers. Food: My egg on my pizza was fully cooked. Who serves eggs benedict without runny eggs? The crust was noticeably burnt as well. I love you, Toppings… but you need to get it together. Step up your customer service and quality of your food, please.
