Papa John’s Pizza

I ordered through EAT24. Past 30 minutes came to store to pick up order. No order was found. Confronted with the cashier and manager who had no idea. Told me to wait while the order is made. I am sitting here waiting so I have to write a review. Keeping the customer waiting because you or your system messed up is no exucsed. There are a lot of competitors wanting my business. The messed up thing is I didn’t get an apology from either one of them.

if i could leave negative stars i would! i ordered lunch for my office to be delivered at 11:15am. everyone was waiting on lunch so i called at 11:25am to check if my order was on its way only to be told «sorry your order wont be made because our oven is not working» so i told her she should have called me immediately after placing my order at 10am when they opened and she said she was about to call me right when i called but she was busy calling the other customers first. its friday at 10am, how many orders could you have possibly received in an hour this early, i worked at a pizza place for 7 years and we did not get sooo many orders early in the morning. now everyone is hungry and waiting on their food. this is awful customer service, they needed to call me so i can make different arrangments.

3 hours later and still no pizza…
Bad day for Papa John’s. I had to call in twice to check on my online order: first time calling «your pizza left at 6:15pm (1 hour after I had placed the order). 2^nd time calling (2.5 hours later) while on hold I could hear fussing and other people blaming each other for the order not being either made or sent out. Confusing for me but I canceled and that was that. Really tho… If I knew it was going to take this long, Pizza hut or dominos are down the street from me. Someone dropped the ball… Not a good look for them. No discount or coupon of any kind was offered for a mistake THEY made. I’m a loyal Papa John’s customer, but they’ll be lucky there even is a next time.

Waited 30 minutes just to get 3 large pizzas, then he tells me to wait another 5 minutes because the delivery guy took one of my pizzas by mistake! HORRIBLE SERVICE! Do not come here! Guys are just sitting on their asses not doing anything!!!

All of the delivery guys I’ve had have been extremely nice (not to mention cute!) Thank you Papa Johns!

NOPE !! Had to make a T-​mobile payment and knew I’d be in there forever so decided -«Why not order a pizza for dinner?» So I stop into This Papa John’s. I haven’t had the best of service here but those times were months ago so I thought I’d give them another chance. NOPE !! The place was not crowded and I thought my odds of getting good service was looking good. Ordered the $ 8.99 carry out and a cookie, paid for it told them I’d be back.
NOPE !! After my 30 minutes hellistic service experience at T-​mobile, I was hopeful that a nice slice of pizza would make up for it. Was I so wrong ! My Stuff was not ready and the same people who were in there with me when I got there, were STILL waiting there ! But get this ! A soccer Mom rolls in and grabs 10 pizzas– says she pre-​ordered …hmmmm…NOPE !! After waiting for the cashier to call out orders –3 of us are still waiting. So I tell the cashier «Ok, I’ll be back «and go to Albertsons, buy hot wings (because I was afraid to order Papa John’s-I’d probably STILL be waiting for them) and hard soda. Come back 20 minutes later and THEY STILL HAVEN’T FINISHED MY ORDER !! One guy– who I now call my ‘waiting companion ’ is still there looking very annoyed ! We roll our eyes together, but he gets called next. He ordered AFTER me so I just know mine is ready right? NOPE !! (But heyyyyy — I see a order that looks like it could be mine !) The cashier says ‘what did you order?’ — I tell him… And he says (Oh, no!) I think this is yours, but it just had the WRONG name on it ! (SIGH!!) (seriously-​it said «pool»)
NOPE !! Now I take my cold pizza and marinara splashed cookie box (see photo) home and vow NEVER TO RETURN TO THIS PAPA JOHN’S AGAIN !

Worst customer service, waited 45 mins for a carry out. When ppl asked for the manager they said he was to busy to come to the front.

Tried to order their advertised $ 9.99 large 5 topping pizza online and they were trying to charge me $ 25. Called to order instead and they tell me it’s for online order only. Not helpful when I told him I tried to order online but it was charging me too much. Still can’t help me. There are plenty of other places that I can take my money. You just lost me as a customer. Get it together

Delivery came after and hour and a half, no receipt to sign, the food was cold, and 2 of the 3 pizzas had the wrong toppings. They lied to me on the phone about a reimbursement multiple times and repeatedly told me a manager would call me back. No calls were returned. Take your business elsewhere, they clearly don’t care about their customers.

My delivery guy was amazing! Thanks! My dog got out and he helped get him inside. Not to mention, I had just had surgery and he placed a box that had been delivered by Fed-​Ex inside my door… I wish knew his name but he was awesome!!!

Ever since they changed ownership at this location, customer service left at well. I pity the workers who are carried over from the previous owner. One can just notice the stinginess of how it is operated from upper management to the store employees. And that was very well exemplified tonight. So my family and i decided to order pizza as a late dinner coming from a class at the gym. We placed our order on the app to carry out from the store. 30 minutes later i show up at the store and to make a long story short — they not only not have my order ready but this guy was more concerned about helpdesk and the error that he was trying to blame on me. Dude, people are hungry, go make a sale, take my order, i’ll wait 15 minutes. But no! We spent at least 15 minutes trying to figure out what went wrong. If he wanted to work at the helpdesk, then go to the call center and work there. You don’t have any business taking orders from people. This is my last straw from this store. Adiós!

Sean is the best!!! I was very specific about my order and he took the time to listen, and never lost his patience with me… I called 15 minutes before the store closed and he still treated me with respect and enthusiasm. Thanks Sean!!! Great customer service… :)

Service was horrible! The girl on the other end of the phone was very rude! We called to place an order and she responded saying if we could call back whenever we were ready because they were very busy at the moment. Understandable, but the way she said it was unnecessary! Her attitude was terrible even in person.

Burger pizza not so great. Wish I could trade that in. Customer service was great by the trainee.

I was sitting at home, watching TV, trying to figure out what to do for dinner and a Papa John’s commercial comes on. I have to say when it comes to commercials, I normally blitz right through them (with the DVR) but for some reason I actually watched this one. They were talking about their Philly Cheesesteak Pizza.
I rarely order pizza and can’t recall ordering from Papa John’s before, but I was hungry and decided to go for it! I looked up my closest location, called and ordered the Philly Cheesesteak Pizza for delivery ($ 12 + delivery fee & tip). The person on the other end of the phone was nice, took down all my info and said it would be 45 minutes. OK, no problem. To my surprise though, 25 minutes later the doorbell rings and PIZZA’s HERE!
After paying the friendly driver, I open the box and it’s nice and hot! It has thin slices of beef, green bell pepper, onion, garlic parmesan sauce and lots of cheese. It looks delish!
I dole out a couple slices each for pops and myself and we dig in. It’s pretty darn fresh too, not that limp, soggy mess I’ve gotten from other places. It’s tasty and satisfying. While I don’t think it tastes a lot like a Philly Cheesesteak, the flavor is kinda that direction, so I get it. Turns out this was a month long special for December and is no longer available.
OVERALL: Fresh, hot tasty pizza delivered to my door in less time than expected. Papa John’s is all they claim to be and I will order from them again!

Very good service and the pizza came earlier than the scheduled time. Pizza was delicious and I was definitely satisfied… Thank you thank you!!! I will order again in the future.

Ordered 2 large pizzas w/​a Pepsi online & the order took OVER AN HOUR! Not to mention when the pizza was FINALLY delivered, the delivery guy didn’t have my soda, cheese or crushed peppers! The delivery guy had to go back to GET EVERYTHING! I will NEVER TIP ONLINE B4 I GET MY ORDER AGAIN!

Not good pizza. Crust and sauce are only OK. You can get a frozen pizza a the grocery store for less $ that would taste better.

This Papa Johns is not bad at all and been coming here for years.
We always place a phone order with them with no hassles and with a friendly attitude. Overall the pizza’s here always tasted good! but dang! my wife is always a fan on wanting a to buy one of their premium choice pizzas like the bbq chicken topping and the hawaiian ones, but they are expensive well I can’t complain.
Pepperoni and cheese toppings on my pizza pie is all I need, as well as the garlic sauce for my pizza crust. Here’s my simple technique how I eat these slices:
1) Eat the slices but save the pizza crust part
2) Now you have your pizza crusts pieces dip them in garlic the sauce!
Finally you have your pizza and garlic bread stick in one from the slice. There you go I just saved budget: P

This is the best Papa Johns in Long Beach
I’ve done delivery once and never had an issue with the driver, he came faster than I thought, and my pizza was warm and delish.
The second time I did pick up and once again was not disappointed.
If you’re in the mood for pizza and want something quick and cheap I recommend ordering from this papa john’s even if another long beach papa johns is closer to you.
