I have been coming to LB Thai Restaurant for over a decade whenever I’m in LBC. I like how they have moved to a new location that can accommodate more diners and the new updated look. As for their food, I can’t speak for all of it as their menu is so vast, but their Pad Thai, Pad Se Ew, and salty fish have always been good. Food quality is excellent considering their prices. Well-known Thai joint among the locals and I’d highly recommend it. Don’t expect service to be top-notch(you want better service, go to a high-end restaurant lol), as you get what you pay for.

If you are a phở lover like me, come and try their Thai Boat Noodle. I never knew a thai version of phở existed, but here it is. It has pretty much the same contents as a phở bowl, but the broth/soup is different. I can’t really put my finger on what spices they may have used, but it seems to be beef based. The has a little bit of sour-ness to it. The only not so great part about this place is that they do not have their own private lot. Good luck finding street parking.

Convenient location, excellent food, and prompt, attentive staff. Long Beach Thai has some of the best food I’ve experienced. I opted for their Koy See Mee with Tofu and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made thus far in 2016. It’s great if you’re eating for 1, on a date, with your crew, or with the family. The bathrooms are also pleasantly modern. Go find out for yourself and follow culifornia on Instagram for more great eats!

Seen the star rating to number of reviews and decided to come out and check it out. Service — Horrible when we came in they had us wait for a few minutes before they could figure out if a table was reserved or not. Once seated after maybe 8 minutes had to flag someone down to get our order placed. Drinks came out at the same time with the drinks. Food — The food portion wasnt bad for the large Thai Boat Noodle Soup ordered, but the taste was maybe 4⁄5 from other places that ive had. Prices — Avg prices on the menu compared to other non high end Thai restaurants. Parking — Main st parking is hard to get and can be dangerous with the high traffic on the main rd. Parking in the rear isn’t too bad but it is a bit scary since its a very narrow alley in the back and dark at night. Venue — Place is very updated, clean, and modern and can pass as a higher end Thain restaurant.

My favorite Thai in LBC! The new location is all street parking but it never seems to be a problem like the last location. I’m still a big fan of their {THAIBOATNOODLES} and whenever in doubt their {PADSEEEWW} always hits the spot.

It’s high time for a review update! They may have fancier new digs, but thank goodness the food hasn’t changed. I’ve been here a couple of times now and was not disappointed. I’ve tried various curries, salads, and noodles and all were delish. Service is always friendly and efficient; it’s a reliable place for good Thai food in this area. STEPHJUDGEMENT: Same solid food, nicer new digs!

This is my go to place for solid thai food when I go with friends or family. I love thai food and have tried many places, so I think that says something ^^ My favorite is Pa Nang Curry(red curry with chili) and I’ve liked it with chicken or beef. I enjoy the sweet coconut taste with a spicy kick, and it’s a yummy flavor. You have to order rice separately but a small size is definitely enough for two hungry people and it comes in a little metal pot(generous amount). Other dishes i tried were wonton soup, pad see ew, and watercress duck. All were delicious! Side notes: They remodeled the interior to expand the restaurant and it’s pretty nice and clean. Service was good too.

[Time & Date of visit]: Mid Saturday afternoon [Party Size]: 3 [Location/Ambiance]: Parking — Sucks a bit, but if you can find street parking. Go for it. We lucked out and found a spot right at the end of the block. Inside — From what my cousin informed, was that they use to be in an even smaller location. Gahhh… I’m glad I don’t have to wait then for a table at this location. There were plenty of four top tables. Some sharing long running booth seats. The dining room is split by old school Asian themed décor. Ambiance — Feels like old school Asian restaurant, but new décor. Some place you would take your OG Asian parents to and they probably would approve. [Service]: Entering inside, we were promptly seated. Our server brought out cups of water with out needing to ask, cool points there. She was patient on returning a couple of times to take our order as I wanted to also try something else ATL didn’t normally have, though all of us knew what to order for our main entrée. Water refills were spot on. Food came out surprisingly fast. [Food Highlights]: Crispy Shrimp Egg Rolls — The flute like shape, threw me off a little. I only ordered it thinking that our entrée’s were going to take a bit to come out. But all the orders came out pretty much less than a minute apart. So, it’s fried very well. Crispy outer shell but not overcooking the shrimp. Ratio is ok on the shrimp. An ok filler /app. Thai Boat Noodles — THISISTHESHIZNIT. Like I don’t even like all the fatty meats just because of the texture, but this bowl of noodle soup is just about perfect. The broth is amazing if short of a food-gasm reaction. I mean, unless you want it more spicy, I don’t think you even need to add a dash of sauce or seasoning. Noodle to meat ratio is on par. Maybe even more meats; from pork meatballs, to some flank here and there. There’s options for the wider noodles(Chow Fun like) to thinner noodles(Phở /Vermicelli style). I don’t think you can go wrong with either. MUSTORDER. Pad see ew — I’m surprised, this wasn’t as greasy as I usually am accustomed too. The noodles are cooked well, soft with out being too brittle. Ratio of meats and noodle are pretty good. Veggies are little bare but more meat is a plus. Not drowning in any sauce. Minced up egg pieces are scattered through out for added texture. I would say if you aren’t feeling like eating soup, this is a good alternative. {Summary}: I’m not even going to really try to sell the Thai Boat noodles further. Just, Try it or Diet as Andy N says lol. Really though — I’m not the biggest soup noodle person, but wow, my stomach was happy I visited here. 5 stars on taste and overall.

Family and I were in the area and my dad was craving Thai food so I decided to pick this place for them to try. Parking is horrible… there’s some spots in the back… or you can try and find parking along the street right in front of the restaurant. My family parked across the street and walked over. Pretty big place in my opinion. They even have like a communal table! We got seated in like this second room where I guess they could hold private parties? What we got: Large Combination Thai Boat Noodles($ 10): so large didn’t look all that large to me. My dad wanted to try something new so he decided to give this a shot. It tastes like the Vietnamese Bo Kho. It had tripe, meatballs, slices of meat, and other stuff. Not something any of my family members would get again. It was good since my dad likes Bo Kho anyway, but still not something he would get again especially for that price. Beef Pad Kee Mao($ 8): portion seemed small compared to the other noodles dishes we got. It looked like a good portion, but under the noodles it was all lettuce. I never finish any of my dishes when I eat Thai food and I finished it and was still hungry! Wasn’t spicy at all and the beef was almost like ground beef not like the sliced beef I’m use to when I get this dish. Beef Pad See Ew($ 8): best dish out of everything we got. Noodles were soft and tasted sweet which I like. Beef was also almost like ground beef and not sliced. They use Chinese broccoli instead of the American broccoli which is how it should always be made. Chicken Pad Thai($ 8): squeeze some of the lime on it and mix everything together! I thought the pad thai here was just okay. Not that sweet, but it wasn’t that sour either. Parents enjoyed it, but I’ve had better. Service: It was really good here. My parents took forever to decide what they wanted and our server had to come back like 2 – 3 times before we were ready. Water glasses were refilled before they were empty. They would come by and ask us if we needed anything else. Check was brought out quickly when we asked for it. So overall service was really good!

Came here with a large group and we didn’t leave much leftovers as we demolished what was served up. Our side of the table got the basics like Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, Tom Kha, Fried Rice, and Papaya Salad. Usually not a fan of Pad Thai as much as Pad See Ew but their rendition here is pretty damn yummy. If you like Thai Hot(like I do) your offered a tray of seasonings on the side which include thai pepper and chili sauce to adjust. Everything else was good but not quite as standout as the Pad Thai/Pad See Ew. Tom Kha was a bit more sour and heavier when compared to other versions I’ve had but was good in its own way. Portion sizes here are a bit smaller then the usual plethora of food you get at Thai places but I didn’t mind too much as the flavors more then made up for that slight. The flavors here don’t compromise like other Thai places tailored for a western audience so be warned if you don’t like fish sauce, cilantro, or sour aspects in your Thai. Ambiance-wise Long Beach Thai might take the cake for best interior I’ve been to for a Thai Restaurant. Spacious interior with modern décor and big ol bathrooms.

Finally moved location! Ahhh. First of all, I would like to say parking sucks ass. If you’re lucky enough to find parking on the streets then good! The only downside is that but it shouldn’t be so difficult. When I walked inside, I was surprised to see that they upgraded a lot. Like it was way fancier than it used to be. They had nice tables and chairs. Anyways, my friend and I got seated in the back in another room. I was shocked to see that there was more space in the back. Wth! Wooow. Just wow. I would say that I’m a fan of their food and always come here whenever I crave thai food. So ever since this new location is opened, I would always get scared that their food would change. So anyways, I ended up ordering the pad see ew while my friend ordered pad thai. We were just happy that the food came out perfect. It tasted the same and we were satisfied. Nice ambiance, good service, and yummy food! I can’t to taste their thai boat noodles next. Hope it’s still the same also. Mmmm.

(Dined 06÷13÷14SA @ 7:00pm): This Thai place was a bit of a long drive from my place, but whenever I was in town… beotch, I’d consider them! As fellow Unilocal Elite Kevin B. and I returned to the LBC after an afternoon of wine tasting in Temecula, he recommended Long Beach Thai Restaurant, a favorite of his that recently moved into a larger location for some shared grubbing. That was all the endorsement I needed… and I loved Thai food! Would they lose their mom-and-pop feel with this new space?: Thai Iced Tea($ 2.95×2) — A lovely sweetness with a red-clay mud color and a bit more ice than I normally liked(I needed to maximize by drink), this was a nice cold refreshing drink. However, I ordered it with boba($ 0.50 extra charge) only to be told after the fact that they ran out of boba… WTH?! Before any utterance came out of my mouth, the server apologized and comped my drink. Kevin B. later decided to order one and his drink was comped, too; now that’s customer service! Steamed White Rice($ 2.50) — it was fluffy, plentiful, and steaming hot; what else could’ve been said?! Pad See Ew with Pork($ 7.95) — A heaping platter of long wide egg noodles, chopped bok choy and onion, slices of pork pieces, all with a lovely oyster sauce glaze, this dish came out steaming hot and I couldn’t wait to dig in! This was usually my go-to dish whenever I ate at a Thai place I’d never been to before. I mean, you really couldn’t mess this up… and they didn’t! Green Curry with Chicken($ 8.50) — I LOVED all curry… and the spicier the better. If I weren’t sharing, I would’ve asked«burn a hole in my intestine and rectum» spicy! A hearty portion, it appeared watery but the consistency had a subtle thickness with plenty of chicken, bamboo shoots and other goodness right below the surface. The spicy level was good, but I liked to shed a few tears and maybe a slight running of the nose with each bite. Shame the rice didn’t automatically come with it. Still, a very good curry. Service — We entered through the back entrance/exit, made our way down a long hallway that led to the main dining area, and went to the front host counter where we were greeted by a kind woman armed with menus who immediately led us to a table. Our young female server quickly came by and was ready to give us water and take our order… but we needed time to look things over first. Soon enough, she returned, we were ready to order, our drinks came out shortly(see«Thai Iced Tea» above) followed by our entrees about 10 minutes later. We were checked on periodically and our water glasses filled without asking. Once we polishd-off the food and a male busser cleared our table, we were allowed to hang out for a bit without feeling pressured to leave. Overall, very good service. Parking(Free) — They had their own small lot with no more than 10 spots. Otherwise, it looked like you may’ve been able to park at the next door businesses since they were closed for the evening. Or, there appeared to be plenty of street nearby parking especially along the main drag of Anaheim St. Atmosphere, décor, ambience — «Clean, modern, simple and understated» were the best adjectives to describe this place. Unlike most Thai businesses that covered every inch with their national pride, there was only a small shelf behind the counter with such items. Illuminated with bright electric ceiling lights and a faint amount of natural light through the front windows, there were communal(main) and traditional(to the side) dining areas with plenty of cushioned seating. I noticed two TVs while music played in the background. Attire — Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. Overall, Long Beach Thai Restaurant was a lovely treat with big portions, affordable prices, and wonderful service. I’m rarely in the LBC, but I’m glad I now had a worthy Thai place to recommend. I guess they used to be in a shack that filled quickly, so this larger storefront was certain to be a blessing for them. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above(total paid experience was around $ 27.00BEFORE discounts and tip). The only real knock was tht they ran out of boba. And, they accepted my credit card of choice… AMEX! 4.0STARS

I enjoy coming to LB Thai, it’s authentic. Service is slow ever since they moved to this new location And instead of one waiter, you’ll get whoever that walks by. So I suggest to get their attention for help. Food is always delicious ! I always eat here when I’m craving for Thai food. «Beef jerky’s my fave» I got the rib eye salad and it was delicious but wasn’t worth it for the price. Management I suggest to add more greens too your salad since your charging about $ 10 for about close to nothing.
