Everybody here is so friendly, professional, and amazing at their job. The place is much bigger than it looks from the outside. Great selections of backgrounds, sizes, and price packages!

Jocelyn and Mike are super friendly and professional. Jocelyn set up our family portrait with Saveout the photographer. He called the day before to confirm time, location, and what kind of pictures/​poses we wanted. Super nice and friendly on the phone. We met him the next day and he was very professional, and personable, and great with our small kids! Our pictures came out beautiful!!! Very happy with the the results! My husband (Michael) and I, are happy to work with an great photography crew for our wedding on November 20^th, 2015. From the moment we walked in, to our wedding day. They made things easy and comfortable for us. Everything was all custom to our liking and they gave us feedback that made things better. Our traditional Cambodia in the morning was long and tiresome but the crew was up & ready for everything that needed to be done. During the night reception, we had the whole crew to make sure all was done right and perfect. We love their fast, friendly, and precise photography skills. Kevin & Jocelyn are amazing to work with and would love to work with them again!

Researching for a good wedding photographer is not always easy especially if you’re on a budget. The moment I walked into the studio I was greeted by Jocelyn and her husband, Michael. They were both very nice and toured my fiancé and I around the studio as well as showed us many different pictures of the work they’ve done. I was definitely impressed with many of the pictures I saw.
The thing that got me sold on choosing King Kong/​Lightbox as my photographer was the great packages deal, Unilocal review, and most importantly how professional Joceyln was. She was super friendly and never once pressured my fiancé and I in any way. She was patient and willing to work with our needs and wants. She was also great with responding immediately to any questions or concerns I had via text. I can see that both Jocelyn and her husband are very honest people and take much pride in their work and will do whatever it takes to please their customer.
I recently picked up both my engagement session and engagement ceremony pictures and was definitely pleased with the results. I want to give a special thanks to our photographer, Saveout, for being super friendly and patient with us. He’s awesome!
I have no doubt that Joceyln and her crew will continue to do a fantastic job for the wedding in June («knock on wood» lol).

My wife and I got married November 14^th and did the traditional Cambodian wedding. We booked King Kong Photography (Lightbox Studio) to do the photography and videography. From the get go Mike and Jocelyn were very receptive on what we wanted and what we expected from their business.
Their team is exceptional. Kevin made us look very good when we knew nothing about posing or looking good for the camera. Throughout the morning and night reception they captured both the posed shots and more candid photos. I’m glad they captured everything as the wedding went by like a blink of an eye.
Big shout out to Savouet. I know he would’ve done an awesome job but he was part of the wedding :-P

My husband and I live in the Bay area and got married in Long Beach, so we had to do most of our wedding planning from a distance, which makes it hard to choose vendors. We got extremely lucky when we found Lightbox/​KingKong Studios.
Michael, Jocelyn, and their team are truly caring and made us feel like family. Their professionalism and customer service are impeccable and excelled far beyond our expectations! We had a two day wedding (Khmer and Western) and they were there for us every step of the way!
Invitations: Jocelyn was so patient and helpful as I went through every single invitation design they had. She helped me find the perfect one. Not only did they have them ready way ahead of schedule, they had hand folded all 200 of them and placed in them in the envelopes for us!
Engagement Photos: We had engagement photos taken in their studio as well as an outdoor shoot that lasted the entire day to ensure that we had both quality and quantity photos to choose from. Michael and Kevin made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera (I usually freeze up) and helped us get creative and fun with different poses. We never felt rushed. They enlarged our selections, provided custom framing as well as a signature frame for our guests to sign at the wedding.
Khmer and Western wedding Photos: The team had to have taken 10,000 photos at the very least. They captured every single smile, laugh, and moment perfectly. It’s an understatement to say that this team has endurance. Our guest even commented on how impressed they were by our photographers! What was great was that we were given all the pictures electronically and allowed to choose the ones we liked to be printed out and organized in an album for us. They also provided a flesh mounted album, which was designed beautifully!
Wedding Favors: The Lightbox team also took pictures of my husband and I with all the guests at our venue, had them printed out and handed to all our guests as wedding favors by the end of the night. Wow!
Videography: We sat down to watch it for the first time the other night The final product blew our minds! Not only did the team capture all 20 hours of the events, they edited, added music and even created a 15 minute highlight trailer on blue-​ray discs for us.
Looking back, the wedding flew by way too fast and I always hear people say how much they regret either not having a good photographer or a videographer.
We were lucky to have both. Their hard work, attention to detail, calm presence, and technical skills truly captured the essence of our wedding and preserved the memories of such a special whirlwind event for us. We are forever grateful and highly recommend them for any occasion.

Man! This place is AWESOME! As an artist, it can be tough to find a print shop that will sit there with you and tinker with photo settings until the print comes out just right… they had no problem doing that for me here. The young man (I forgot his name! I know is started with an R… Raul? no… Randy? No… DOH!) who helped me was incredibly flexible and patient with my needs. This was an emergency print trip too and they did it all in like 30 minutes!
as I was going to a convention this weekend and NEEDED prints to hand out! We even geeked out a bit after he found out I was going to Comic Con. Now I can go about the rest of my day and wrap up all my to dos before the big event thanks to this place. *love* Prices were not bad either considering the amazing customer service… very satisfied and most likely will return next time I need prints done. Thanks King Kong and R-​something lol, never change!

Came here 6÷8÷15 to get a passport pic enlarged to a 12×18 or 16×20 & had the best & helpful experience.
The guys who helped us are very patient & gave us a lot of options. We purchased a cherry wood frame for a 12X18 enlargement & added a background to the pic including the laminating & mounting, the total came out to be $ 119.90!
Overall the results came out great & in a timely matter (less than 2 hrs)

The lightbox team was super caring and Professional! We had them shoot both our engagement and wedding photos, the pictures were amazingly awesome! Our photographer Savoeut made us feel super comfortable and guide us with poses very well! (He went the extra mile for us by the way) all in all my wife and I were pleased and appropriate their hard work! I will most definitely refer Lightbox to ANYONE not only just friends and family!!! They did my wedding earlier in the year and the photos and customer service were fantastic. Savouet was great as he led the photography duties and even helped ushered some of the wedding events. After wedding was done, photos were ready for choosing to get edited and within a short time after, they are ready in a nice album (depending on package). Video was cool, everything’s done in hi-​def blu Ray now. Jocelyn and her staff is fantastic, tell her Sean sent ya!

I hired this studio to take about 30 professional headshots for my company, and they did a FANTASTIC job. (The photos for our LA-​based folks can be seen on the Staff page of our website at
) Despite the fact that the way we discovered them was a fluke, (someone needed a quick headshot and found them on Unilocal while on her way to the LB Airport), I will use them again whenever I need more taken.
We arranged for them to come to our downtown LA office, and Michael and Kevin came early to set up the lighting and white backdrop we requested. Michael, the photographer, was great at coaxing people to smile, to breathe and to look natural — even people who typically freeze in front of a camera! — and they took about 10 – 15 shots of each person.
Kevin quickly downloaded them so that we could immediately view them on a laptop and pick our favorite (s) while the subject was still in the room so that he or she could weigh in also. Every subject left happy with his or her photo. And that was BEFORE they saw the minor touch-​ups that Jocelyn then completed back at the studio. She removed any fly-​away hair, dark circles, blemishes, etc. in a way that still left the photos looking natural, but much more professional than had we not.
We shopped for photographers before we chose this team, their prices are fair, they juggled their schedule to be there with just a few days notice, and they did a great job. Our CEO is using them for a big family party this weekend because she too was so impressed with their professionalism and their work quality.
I’m not sure what more you could possibly ask of a photography team. These are not just wedding photographers, as you may have assumed by reading other reviews.

Our wedding was on June 14, 2014. We knew nothing about King Kong photos, but our experience was amazing. Jocelyn & her husband Michael are very friendly people. They make you feel welcome & at ease; not pushy @ all. Jocelyn went over the package with us & we decided to go with photography, videography & canvas picture & frame. Kevin did a wonderful job taking our couple picture for the display. Jocelyn picked out the background color for our canvas picture & it looked great. We put the picture on display @ the reception venue & had many compliments. This is just the beginning of the top notch service King Kong staff provided to us.
Furthermore, we had a Cambodian, Chinese, American ceremony & the wedding reception all on one day. Surprisingly, King Kong’s photographer SAVOEUT & videographer KOSAL did an EXTRAORDINARY job that is very PRAISE WORTHY. They were very down to earth & comfortable to work with. They helped out a lot during the wedding such as repositioning the tables & giving suggestions on how to pose etc.
In addition to all of the ceremonies we squeezed in a 1 hour photo session @ the Japanese Garden. We were 45 min late to the Jap photo session because our Cambodian & Chinese wedding ended later than we anticipated. Savoeut & Kosal advised that we should still go to take the pictures. They’re our savior, because they were able to take ample pictures & videography of us @ the Japanese Garden.
We recently received our wedding photos & DVDs. We are very happy & satisfied newly weds. We love the pictures & the video /​HD dvd’s, especially the one @ the Japanese Garden. King Kong photo is the place to go to capture the most memorable day of your life!

Jocelyn was so pleasant to work with. She knew I was on a budget and she made it work. I hired them to photograph and video my ceremony. The crew was so nice and understanding through the whole ceremony. They knew what shots to take and they took their time to make sure they had the right pictures and the right angle for the videos. They were friendly and had a great sense of humor. Made the day very enjoyable.

I’m a photographer that usually prints in LA or Irvine, but I didn’t want to drive 35 minutes to print 2 head shots and so I looked for a place closer to me. Turns out I live 6 blocks away from King Kong, and I’m so glad I went!
It’s easy to find from the street and looks inviting. Jocelyn was really nice and helpful. She went the extra mile to make sure my prints were perfect.
