This place is pretty much my favorite place to eat now! Everything is so good!!! My favorite plate by far is the Athenian chicken which is stuffed with spinach & feta cheese then topped with a creamy garlic type of sauce! So delicious! The mashed potatoes are great as a side for this dish.

This place used to be good. Eh not so much anymore. Georges Greek café makes this place look pathetic.

Ordered the steak kabob, I was somewhat impressed but not happy because it was over-cooked and pretty bland. The reason for the 3 stars was the Service, hummus, and salad. Next time I will try the salmon.

Came here for the first time with my girlfriends on Thursday. The staff was nothing but friendly to us. We had a large party, but they catered to each one of us individually. The food was scrumptious and we will be back. Really loved it! Great place.

I love this place for breakfast or lunch. Today was no exception. I brought my colleague here to check it out as a possible breakfast meeting place for a networking group. Maricela was our server and she was a perky as the strong coffee that they serve here. I had the Greek Scrambler which is a hearty dish, so hearty that I took half of it home with me. Robin ordered the egg on a roll which he reported to be very good. In fact, he decided to invite his networking group! Thanks you Kafe Neo and Maricela for your usual hospitality and good food!

Let me start by saying I’ve never been blown away by Greek food in general. It always seems to border between ‘meh’ and ‘that was ok’ for me, and Kafe Neo was no exception. We ended up here due to a Greek friends’ recommendation, and dined out on the patio, since it was warm out. Checking in on Unilocal scored us free pita & hummus, so we were off to a good start. The menu is pretty extensive, so it was hard to make decisions, but the lamb souvlaki and the Athenian chicken won out. Both proteins were cooked well, but the sides weren’t that great. Between the two of us, we tried the greek salad, lemon potatoes(super greasy), rice, and sautéed veggies. Again, it’s probably just me, but this was just another Greek meal that was just ok.

Came here a couple of months ago. First off I had to get their burger, even though yes it was during the morning/early afternoon. Because I’m one of those people who like having a burger when I get the chance! We got a free appetizer dip with our check-in here, and I decided to get the spicy dip. And that stuff was really spicy!

Kafe Neo is one of those places nicely tucked away. We found parking right out front. Our waitress was really nice and polite. I had the gyros which were amazing. We sat outside next to the heater. Hands down a pleasant dinner, good food and grade A customer service. If you’re looking to take someone out on a first or second date, this is the place. Go with the baklava, the chocolate cake thing is bleh. Not knocking points off because that is my opinion, just not my cup of tea, too much chocolate.

The food at Kafe Neo is consistent and delicious when you order the right things. My two favorite things here: Zeus fries and the spicy seafood salad! The Zeus fries are delicious shoestring fries cooked with a perfect amount of crisp, topped with a spicy chili sauce and feta cheese. The spicy seafood salad is one of my favorite salads in the area! It comes loaded with delicious seafood — crispy calamari, seasoned salmon, scallops, shrimp on a bed of lettuce, topped with spicy salad dressing and feta cheese. The gyro salad is good, but not extraordinary. I’ve had better gyro, but it’s decent here. Two things I wouldn’t order again: pasta and beef skewers. I’ve had the blackened chicken pasta once, and it was drenched in oil and bland. The beef skewers were tough, bland, and overpriced. Service is friendly! Parking is on the street.

My partner and I were in searching for a place for breakfast and found this little hidden gem. I was glad we went here because the food was delicious and the service was great. The price was not to bad either. They had an outside dinning patio. You can enjoy parts of long beach and get some fresh air. What a great way to start the day off.

This is a great local gem in Long Beach and some of the best Greek fusion I’ve had! The ingredients are fresh and everything I’ve ever ordered here is incredibly delicious and full of flavor! The menu has plenty of options and most everything I’ve tried is delicious! From the Saffron Soup to the Zeus fries, from the Spicy Calamari Gyro to the Lamb Burger… you can’t go wrong. Unless you forget to order the Baclava Tower! –The only bad thing I ever ordered was a Pita Pizza… which was terrible mostly because it was weird. Their beer and wine selection is decent. The ambience is warm and welcoming, and a great venue to hang out with friends over great food and drinks! I can’t say the service is as consistently great as the food. but the food is good enough to bring me here on occasion with an expectation of overlooking the customer service if needed. Bonus: Unilocal promos! Yay!

It’s been a while, an update is long overdue! Kafe Neo is near and dear to my heart. The spicy feta here is like a drug. It’s terribly addicting in the best way possible. Get it by itself as a dip. Get it on top of French fries. Or get it within a pita. You could also save yourself and just avoid it all together, but really why do such a thing? Breakfast here is amazing, they know how to cook eggs, potatoes, and have a decent selection of tea. If you miss breakfast, no worries, the menu is large, so you’re set for lunch and dinner. I’m a big fan of the spicy feta chicken pita. It’s a wonderful balance of savory, tangy, and spicy(mild), with juicy chicken chunks. When I’m feeling extra lazy, they deliver via bicycle for $ 5. Seriously the neatest thing they decided to do. When their food is as good as it is, I don’t even mind the extra bucks. Extra wonderful thing about Kafe Neo: the feta flows here.

Kafe Neo has some interesting history. This location used to be a repair shop for years until the owner’s kids converted this site into a Greek restaurant. There’s an outdoor patio with a awning resembling the old drive thru. Pretty chill place to have dinner. The menu here is extensive with lots to chose from kebab plates, pitas, burgers, pasta, and salads. I ordered a beef pita that came with fries. The pita itself was filling but the meat was bland though it came with a tzatziki sauce, cucumbers, and tomatoes. My other two friends ordered the beef and chicken kebab plate and tilapia plate. The kebab plates were just okay, however, the tilapia plate covered in fried garlic was very tasty. The fish was lightly battered which gave some texture. Overall, service was good and very attentive.

I used to really like this place but each time I go there my experience is exponentially worse. I went with a friend not too long ago and we got the Zeus fries and a dip appetizer to start off. That was wonderful! Every entrée I’ve ordered aside from the Greek burger has been terrible but I went against my better judgement and ordered an entrée anyway. I got a breakfast sandwich and asked them to put the bacon on the side instead of inside the sandwich. Sure enough it’s inside the sandwich and they brought me a side of it too! I don’t like the taste of bacon. The hostess was sweet and apologized and told me I would not get charged. I removed the bacon myself but the taste of it was still there. Our server didn’t apologize or ask if she could do anything to fix it. I probably won’t be back anymore.

This place was awesome because they delivered to the beach. Me and my sister had ordered some salad and some spinach pies. Pro — the salads were delicious! I had gotten the calamari salad, and it was good! Calamari was still nice and crispy lightly seasoned and salad was fresh and crisp. Also got the occasional sand blown in so had extra protein. Salad was a adequate size meal. Con — We did not get any utensils. We were a bit stumped how they would forget to give utensils since we told they we were on the beach but anything could happen. Would today drop by the place itself to try out what else they have. But friendly reminder to all those who decide to try to order at the beach, ask for utensils or else you will end up eating like we did and get funny looks for eating like a savage. Would recommend, just beware its somewhat pricey; believe it was $ 60 for 3 salads, a gyro, and a order of spinach pie –but we all loved the salads!

If you’re dining at this restaurant, Stop whatever you’re doing and check in… Like NOW! You get a choice of free appetizer per table with checking into Unilocal. We went with the SPICYFETAHUMMUS and it did not disappoint. Spicy feta hummus consisted of a feta remix in their secret spicy mix and came with a side of pita bread. The pita bread is nice and warm with a slightly crunchy exterior and a soft interior. I got the CHICKENBREASTANDLAMBSKEWERS comes with Greek salad, Tzatziki sauce, rice and pita bread. Everything about this dish was delicious. Even though the portions were good I kinda wished there was a little bit more salad. I love veggies and have to have some while eating meat/carbs etc and my salad ran out first Chickens breast skewers are Grilled breast of chicken marinated with extra virgin olive oil, lemon juice and Greek spices. The chicken was still very moist and juicy and was perfectly seasoned Lamb skewers are Cubes of lamb loin marinated with extra virgin olive oil, lemon juice and Greek spices and skewered with bell peppers. This was definitely my favorite. The lamb was so tender and juicy yet slightly crispy on the outside. For dessert I had the BAKLAVATOWER and man was it’s good, so good I didn’t even want to share with my nephew… But I did. Lucky for me his mother only allowed him to have a bite because she doesn’t normally let him have sweets, you know what that means… yay more for me!!! Baklava tower is their home made baklava topped with vanilla Ice cream, Ghirardelli chocolate, and a strawberry. I would come back just for this, but since their food is great also I get the best of both worlds. Service is just ok. Nothing special. Maybe it was because we sat outside that we were often forgotten. Had to ask our server a few times for refills of water. Parking is on the street mostly. They do have a lot adjacent to the restaurant but it’s extremely tiny and I’ve seen a few people almost get into accidents coming in and out due to the busy streets and blind spots.

Kafe Neo is located right on the corner of 4th and Temple. I’ve been here a couple times with some friends to grab a bite to eat and hangout. Kafe Neo has such a variety of different food options to choose from. Since it is close to school and close to my friend’s office we decided this would be a great spot to chill with seating options inside or grab a table outside on the patio. The first time we came here I opted for the Greek Salad Chicken Pita with Feta Fries! Omg the Feta Fries are definitely a must try, thin cut fries topped with chunks of feta cheese, yum. The Greek Salad Chicken Pita had tons of chicken with slices of peppers, cucumbers, red onions, and topped with tzatziki($ 8)! The portions are large and prices are very reasonable. I’ve also had the chicken skewers($ 12.50), this was also a great option that comes with rice and salad and pita on the side. The chicken breast are large and cooked to perfection so that they remain juicy and tender. There is also a check-in offer for a free appetizer. I really enjoyed the hummus as well as the kalamata olive tapanade, they both come with tons of pita to go along with the yumminess. Service is awesome, always friendly and helpful when making decisions, refilling drinks, and making sure everything is great. I definitely want to come back just to try the baklava tower because that just looks so awesome and delicious. The parking lot is really small I think it only allows for six cars, but there is plenty of street parking on 4th or Temple.

Ordered the«Classic Angus Cheese Burger» and it was BAD! I asked for Medium and it came out WELLDONE! It was extremely dry and hard. I had to take a sip of water every time I took a bite, just to make it go down! The buns tasted like cardboard… hard and flat. I should’ve sent it back but we were short on time. The fries that came with the burger were decent. My friend ordered the veggie burger and after 15 mins, the server comes back and says they are out of veggie patties, REALLY??? You guys just opened 30 mins ago! When we got the check, we noticed that they still charged my friend for the veggie burger(which was 50 cents more), oh well. Since we were running late, we didn’t bother informing our server. We didn’t have another 10 mins to waste! *Free dip appetizer with Unilocal Check-in! We tried the hummus and it was alright. Tip: check your utensils! The ones I were given had yellow/orange crusty gunk on it! I’m surprised the person who took the time to wrap the napkin missed it! Wow! I should’ve taken a pic. I’m glad I was able to checked this off my list of bookmarks but based on the food and service, this will be my first and last visit.
