Was walking by with kids and stopped at this «park». Looks nice, lots of fruit hanging from the trees. Went up to one to show kids, start explaining where we get fruit from, circle of life crap etc when the younger one spots a METH PIPE hidden on a branch. Perfect analogy for the area, looks very appealing just walking by but full of nasty drug addicts upon closer inspection.

I feel so proud to live in a city that supports equality which is why I absolutely love this park. Dedicating a site or a park to Harvy Milk makes a statement about the kind of city Long Beach is… They are taking a stand for something GREAT… Equality For All!
The park is pretty small but has several benches and tables and a Soap box if you are feeling up to airing your views publicly.
There are plenty of orange trees in the area and yes I’m looking forward to sampling the fruit once it bares… I like to live on the edge lol
Occasionally, there are a few transients in the area which hey it’s downtown Long Beach and I’m kinda use to it :-)

Park? Seriously? Long beach is wanting to be the city with the most parks but i have to call shenannigans on this one. They put some drought free plants and benches in and call it a park. Please look at the pic– not one blade of grass!
