I appreciate that there’s a place like this. My first time ever coming to Hamburger Mary’s was last Friday. We got free street parking since the meters stop at 9PM. Upon arrival, we had ID check and security check. I really do appreciate the security check since my friends were a bit nervous since the Orlando incident. Tip: If you don’t want to pay cover, subscribe to their texts! If not, it’s $ 5 cover. We had dinner and we stayed for the drag show at 10PM. Service was lacking and the hamburgers were pretty big but not too tasty in my opinion. I also tried my friend’s Big Kahuna, which I wasn’t a fan of either. The fries were okay. They also had $ 4 Fireball shots(my first time ever drinking Fireball, not a fan). My friend likes Hennesy so he ordered 2 shots of that which were $ 11 each. The show was interesting, since I was a first timer and didn’t really have anything to compare it to besides my time in Thailand. After the show, they open up the dance floor for you to go and dance the night away. They also have gogo dancers which you can stare at and give them dollar bills. There’s pretty good looking guys and drink specials throughout the night. My friend stuck with his Hennesy which ended up being $ 14 a shot and waters were $ 3 a bottle. Word of the wise, if you eat dinner, just ask for a water cup and save it so you have something to drink afterwards. Overall, it was a good night, sad that there’s none closer to me.

Came here on a Sunday night. Free entry. There was a drag King and Queens show going on. They were great entertainers. I enjoyed the show some queens do need some rehearsals because there lip sync wasn’t at their best. While watching the show you can grab a bite from their kitchen. During the show you can tip the entertainers as they dance around the dining tables. At 11:00 the performers are done and the dance floor opened with one male go go dancer. DJ was playing some old school hip hop & pop music. Not many people on a Sunday night. No pool tables like there previous location Goose IPA was $ 6 Gin and Tonic $ 9

Love this place. I’ve been here a couple times for the drag show on Sunday’s, they are very entertaining. Bring cash to tip them, there is no cover charge so they are only making their money from the audience.

I expected a lot more from this place. We went for a bachelorette brunch on a Sunday. Made reservations two weeks prior. $ 30 per person for the Mimosa brunch. The food trays we’re empty most of the time. The show was OK. They Have an older dray queen that’s just too much she did a clown freakish act at the end with fake blood it was kinda disturbing. Then the have a skinny drag queen that dances around all of them go around collecting money kinda like a strip club. I was expecting more of a comedy music fun experience but it was just insulting and obnoxious.

Was a major plus on our trip to long beach. We went on a saturday night and paid a 7 dollar cover for«bear» go go dancers, peach long island iced tea was awesome, dance floor had cool smoke machines and lasers;. Great vibe, really slutty in the best ways possible. Next day we did the drag queen brunch, all you can eat buffet and unlimited mimosas for less than 25 bucks. Waiter was super friendly. The drag show itself was worth the money, great show lots of fun and cool experience. Only complaints; mimosas we had a million and they weren’t the strongest, but eventually if you drink and they keep refilling it does the job. We got seated at 10:30 and the show didn’t start until 12:20, which we didn’t know. Also lines are first come first serve, so we waited a while and then some more for the show ’ Overall great time.

First of all, A huge Thank you to Jewels for setting up our fundraiser with Hamburger Mary’s. From the moment we arrived the staff was friendly and accommodating. This is a fast paced, busy restaurant but they went out of their way to ensure we were well taken care of. Dani is phenomenal and our entire group raved about how she went above and beyond with her service. Dj Smuckers rocked the entire crowd all night long. He coordinated a lot of the even and really was the glue for our show! If you’re in Long beach and you’re looking for great food, great drinks and an all around fun time, you can’t beat Hamburger Mary’s. There’s always a fantastic show or club. Anytime you’re at Mary’s, you feel like you belong!

Worst service ever. Ashley was our waitress and didn’t come back to check on our table for over 45 minutes. No refills on any drinks and my order came out incorrect. Unacceptable. I wish I could give them 0 stars. I came back to give this place a second chance and unfortunately Ashley was our server again. My order was wrong AGAIN. Amazingly she came back to refill our drinks after I gave some major side eye to her. The only helpful person was the food runner who brought my food. He seemed to be the only person who gave two damns for the well being of the customers here. Everyone else seems to only care about getting tips. I seriously wish I could give this place zero stars but I’ll leave the one only because of the food runner who helped make my order right.

I came here yesterday with my 3 friends for the Rupaul finale. When we came in, the guy outside was nice and welcoming. Once we got in, we just sat down because there were so many empty tables and at that moment there was no host in sight. Then a couple minutes later, the host told us we couldn’t sit there because it was reserved. No big deal, we moved. We then sat at another table by the first bar when you walk in so that they can seat us. 5 minutes later and they sat us towards the center of the place. Good seats to watch the finale. The host gave us our menus and said our waiter would be there in a couple of minutes. It was not a couple of minutes. We literally waited for about 25 – 30 minutes until we made a move and asked a girl there who our waiter was because we had been waiting for a while. So then our waiter comes about 7 minutes later. I didn’t even bother to order anything at that point because we only came for the show and we were going to drink, but no. We knew they would take forever, and it wasn’t even busy. Like OK? Anyways, my friends ordered some coffee thing and a shake, but even for that they had to wait about 20 min. 20MINUTESFOR A DRINK ! Are you serious. Ugh. And the waiter charged them as two strawberry shakes. Lol. I can’t. I can now see why this place doesn’t have more stars.

My friends and I went here for an early lunch and I loved everything about this restaurant. Our server, Ken was so sweet. I got the lunch special(½ BLT-A and salad), besides the food being delicious it came out in a very timely manner. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others and wish we had one on the east coast. *Who doesn’t love a receipt in a fabulous high heel? :)*

I was so excited to try this place out … Unfortunately it really let me down. The food was not great at alllllllll.(I got a hair in my food :(.) The service was soooo bad. They were having a drag show … So they should know how packed they get. They were super under staffed… I sat on the outside which there was no umbrella and it was scorching hot, the waiter took for ever for everything. Over all a bad experience. I will not be coming back …

I’ve been to this location under it’s different settings. Drag Queen Brunch. 3.5 Stars. Their brunch with their drag queen review, is such an amazing time. the performers are funny, beautiful, and most of all fierce. They will have you laughing, crying, and in awe, all at the same time. The first time I went for brunch, I had their all-you-can-eat buffet and wasn’t very pleased with it. Mostly breakfast foods that I’m not a big fan of at all, like waffles and breakfast sausage. This experience warranted 3 stars. The second time I went to brunch, I ordered a burger off the menu, which was much more appealing to my pallet. Because I enjoyed the food more the second time around, that experience warrants a 4. Both times I had brunch, indulged in bottomless mimosas. bottomless mimosas make everything good. They also have bottomless bloody marries. Dinner. 4 Stars. Went for dinner once on a weekday night and had a good burger and good service. It’s good that I did this before ever having trying brunch here because I would’ve felt like something was missing without the drag queens. Club. 3 Stars. The club is ok, probably the closet thing Long Beach has to a WeHo club. Music is ok, crowd is ok, everything was just ok. They don’t really do a good job of creating an atmosphere that makes me want to return.

It’s a pity that they were unable to improve on the service, when they improved on the location. Whether it’s for lunch, dinner or clubbing the waitstaff and bar tenders here(with a few exceptions) are apathetic at best. Food portions have gotten smaller and the cocktails weaker. In a town like Long Beach where you never more than a block or two from a good, stiff, cheap cocktail it’s hard not to feel rooked when your charged twice as much for a drink half as strong at Hamburger Mary’s. Your WeHo sensibilities are not a good business model for the LBC.

The besties and I came here for our very first drag brunch and the show was a lot of fun! The only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of a higher rating is because the food served at brunch is dismal at best and for the price we paid, we concluded that the only saving grace is the drag show. We were seated out in the patio because there was no room left inside. Turns out, if you want to get a table for HM it’s recommended that you call ahead and book 3 – 4 weeks in advance. Sundays are a high volume day because of the show. Brunch is buffet style with bottomless mimosas. Since we were seated outside our food got cold very quickly, but we also noticed that the food wasn’t all that warm to begin with. They also had a tough time keeping things stocked, like syrup for the pancakes and certain side dishes. Also, only one server was working the patio, so service was slow but I had no complaints about our server since she was chipper and tried to get everything out to all the tables in a timely manner. After finishing our meal and paying the bill, we all went inside to find a spot to stand and watch the show. It was a combination of queens and kings… my favorite was Filet Monroe(I think that’s her name). She performed twice and did a couple cartwheels in heels! I felt bad not having enough dollar bills on hand for her. My advice – come here for just the show. The bottomless mimosas are a plus, but it took me several glasses before I felt anything. If you need to eat, do so elsewhere. Park around the corner in the parking structure – first 2 hours are free.

Monday morning was a throbbing mental exercise in remembering where on the town I was the night before. Oh right, I paid a virgin visit to Hamburger Mary’s on Pine Ave. Hours prior, we had been gay-bar hopping on Broadway St., gushing down(strong) $ 3 happy hour drinks before 7 p.m. By the time we reached Mary’s and won the meter-parking lottery, I was fumbling for my I.D. at the door. But as soon as I could, I hailed for a Cool Cucumber($ 15 for a double shot). Love that cucumber. Seating at 8 p.m. was a breeze, and my chicken Lettuce Wraps came out in a flash. The dish was not impressionable, which at least meant it wasn’t bad. By the time the Drag Contest & Show started at 9 p.m., a rowdy crowd had gathered. Check what’s happening before you go: Parties seems to happen on the daily. I remember waving dollar bills at Drag Queens who nabbed them with style. I remember thinking how much crazy fun I was having. I remember thinking I was still sober and ordering a second double Cool Cucumber. The next morning, I had no recollection of paying or leaving Mary’s place. I checked my credit card statement– nothing. I texted my friend a big«thank you» and«I owe you one.» The drinks here aren’t exactly cheap, and only sober people stop at one. And while LB isn’t exactly Weho, it’s just enough excitement for a Sunday night. Suck it, Monday morning.
