Boys Hamburgers No 8

This would be my 15 year residing in the vicinity of Boy’s Hamburgers and year after year, I’m chronically disappointed. Do your myself a favor and find an alternate place to eat. There’s a long wait, low quality food, high prices, terrible service, and an overall horrible experience. It’s a lose-​lose situation. My recommendation would be Tam’s down the street or Douglas on Cherry. Don’t let Boy’s Hamburger fresh paint job fool you, it’s the same ol’ poop different smell.

My boyfriend came home during his break so we needed to find a quick spot by the house and since this is down the street we decided to try it out. They have a variety of items on their menu, if you decide not to get a meal at least try their «fried mix» it came with onion rings, fries and zucchini sticks! I’ve always searched for a combo like that because buying them separately can get expensive but I finally found it and within walking distance! Their portions are also good and the staff is pleasant.

Visited 4 the first time… ordered a pastrami burrito. .cost $ 8.71…it’s was more tortilla… did not fill up the wrap… finishes eat wanted more… felt spent enough to be full. won’t return.

I like this little place been waiting for along time to try it. It’s a lil pricey though but the staff’s are cool n friendly. There’s a mixture of different kinds if food. So stop by if your in the are n vive it a try

Best cheeseburgers I’ve had in awhile! The fries are good too. Good food and fast service is all I’ve ever wanted in a fast food place and I think I’ve found it! My meal was actually fresh and hot when I got it.

Local Burger joint b4 heading to the gym (!!!) No surprise here but very good service. Fries is little bit on the raw side IMO but it will consider coming back time to time

Had an Al Pastor Torta from this place a few weeks back and I thought they were pretty good. For the price, quick service and taste, definitely worth a second trip. Have to admit I was skeptical at first sight, but turned out ok. Think I might try a burger next time. If I feel any different I’ll make sure to update my review.

I wonder for lunch place was clean prices are very reasonable I highly recommend if you want to get a lot for your dollar

Came here for some breakfast to bring home, since it was close to where my bf lives… they don’t seem very welcoming to someone who is a first-​timer.
Food was ok for a random fast food joint… but who only gives 1 salsa for two orders?
Anywho, it’s fast, cheap, and there ya go. I don’t think I’ll be returning.

Had a cheeseburger and a bacon cheeseburger. Fries were fried to order and were not sitting under a heat lamp.
Bottom line: Not the greatest food but not terrible either. Stop by if you’re in the area and are looking for a quick bite.

Boys is a great place to go if you are hungry but have a little time to wait. They cook everything fresh so be patient! Their food is good for the prices. My order has never been wrong here and the staff is very friendly. I love their huge breakfast burritos!

Good food at reasonable prices. The staff is courteous and efficient. Good neighborhood restaurant. Try the wet burrito plate. Not feeling like Mexican food? They have burgers, teriyaki and low calorie plates as well.

Service is terrible if you don’t speak spanish. The Carne Asada Fries are pretty good but after waiting 20 mins for them I had the urge to go somewhere else. I tried to give clear instructions on how I would like my Carne Asada Fries done and it always comes out wrong! Its simple I don’t want all the stuff on the side, I want it on top! IS THAT SO DAMN HARD?! I find myself going back because the other place near my house that sells Carne Asada Fries is almost twice the price. I HATE THAT I KEEP COMING BACK. (Only because the location is convenient and so is the price)

Looking at the pictures from other reviews it appears the last few years has been rough on this place. The restaurant is run-​down and ghetto looking. I came here because they are in the entertainment book.
I ordered the caldo de res (beef soup) based in part on the attractive picture showing a meaty broth packed with fresh veggies. What they served was a cloudy, greasy bowl of soup with a scoop of veg-​all. There were more chunks of fat than meat and the broth was not flavorful at all. The veggies were mushy and I couldn’t tell if they were previously frozen or canned. I took three bites and left the rest.
Gross.

Okay it was generic and they got my order wrong by the time I got back there they were closed !

Boy’s kind of reminds me of Tam’s in that they serve every kind of meal besides Chinese food and their burgers are juicy and tasty. I’ve only eaten their burgers, never had the breakfast or Mexican food. But the burgers are on! (if you want that giant greasy burger taste)
cons: they pretty damn slow. You’ll be in the drive thru for a good damn minute waiting on your food. Also… and this is big… bring cash. Just… bring cash. They don’t have the pay and go system, you have to withdraw money from your account+pay the ATM fee, then finally you get to pay for your food. It’s GOOD food tho.

I have always enjoyed our meals from here. Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
It does take awhile (if in drive thru just turn your car off @ window) but worth the wait and the service is always wonderful.

I really like the eclectic variety of food here. It’s a mixture of American and Mexican food. Burgers, Philly Cheese-​Steaks, burritos, tacos, there’s plenty to choose from. It’s definitely a «hole-​in-​the-​wall» place with a drive-​thru. To me, some hole-​in-​wall places are a lot better than some classy joint.
Thanks to Mike F., I try to make a regular visit here when ever I’m in the area (as he lives just blocks away from here). Even though the name sake of this place is a «hamburger joint», I’ve especially enjoyed the gigantic carne asada burrito here.
The burrito is filled very nicely (just right, not busting out so it’s not a mess). The carne asada is seasoned perfectly, has the nice texture and no gristle. The rice is seasoned perfectly and fluffy. The hot sauce is the perfect compliment/​condiment to just add that extra kick. Horchata is really good. I would like to think it’s not the mix stuff, but, it’s so good, I don’t even want to think it could be a mix and not stuff they make fresh.
They also offer «catering» style menus, which you can get or you can just look at the windows for specials. The food does take a little bit of time, I think they literally only make your food when you order it. I don’t mind, it’s some serious food that will put you into a nice «coma» once you’re done scarfing down the food. I can’t wait to try the other items on the menu.

Boy oh boy oh boy… I wanted to eat here and bust like clock wearin’ Flava Flav with a YEAH BOYYYYY! for Boy’s Hamburgers #8. Instead, it was a bit average. I went with their Pastrami Lunch Box. This includes an average slightly overly salty pastrami sandwich, fries, onions rings, and fried zucchini. For $ 6 and change, you do get some bang for the buck as far as tray girth goes. My lunch compadre Tony P went with a mushroom bacon cheeseburger combo. Usually a fan of all things shroomy, he warned me never to order mushrooms there. That being said, if the burgermeister cravings hit, we’ll most likely head back to Doublz instead, or take a crap shot and try something new again. Pics posted.
