First of all, office management. I had a hold time of 15 minutes. Over and over it was«if this is a life threatening emergency, hang up and dial 911». I thought of «if you are pissed off about your wait time, dial 111» and let them figure out how to staff the phones with this feedback. Secondly, office staff. I needed a refill on a very common drug and took my online pharmacy paperwork to get filled out. I called to check on this, and the office person said the doctor had never heard of the drug; she misspelled it after I had spelled it 3 times when I called the first time. Then, with the right drug, after being on hold forever, I got the news that my dosage was extraordinary, that the highest dose was 6 mg. Well, the drug’s smallest dose is 10mg. I needed 40 mg, right in the middle of an average dose based on the online pdr. Did I ever speak to the doctor on the phone about this? NO, everything was relayed from office staff. All of this transpired over the course of a week; by week’s end, I was out of medicine and out of patience. Frustrated and irate might be more accurate. I have taken the drug for 30 years, have never had problems getting it refilled. Third, initially I was impressed with the doctor’s mellow temperament; I later changed my mind to «hard to get his attention.» I had a reflux problem that was taken care of with a prescription, but I was in a fair amount of distress that day. Next scheduled appointment was 1 month later. Which I have already cancelled.

Dr Asbill is always ready to listen to you. He will take the time to review your lab results with you at your appt. I have never felt rushed or slighted on time at an appt. The office is clean and the staff is competent and friendly. Dr Asbill was referred to me by my former physician when he went into the MDVIP concierge group and I could no longer see him. I highly recommend him.
