Acapulco Inn

This place is downright awful. We walked in and there was barely any people, sat there for over 15 minutes trying to catch the eye of the bartender, and then just walked out in annoyance. Previously, when going to this place the service and food has been awful as well. Honestly, I wish this place would just close. And the clientele is also sketchy.

There’s some idiot at the front door with some 80s coolio braids that has no clue what he’s talking about but he tries running the shots. If they don’t fire him I’ll never come back

This review is for the bouncer. Incredible jerk. First off didn’t even look like a bouncer because he was leaning over a customers table stopped us as we tried walking in and we showed id’s joking around with him. He got incredibly rude and we decided not to go on, Acapulco if you read these reviews we went Friday night 3÷25÷16 bar was almost empty and I assume it is because of the horrible customer service. Good luck, another bar off our list.

This place could easily be a 3, but the service is GARBAGE here. Now I’m understanding why this place has no line on Fridays, Saturdays or any good holidays. Almost like last resort if you get to 2^nd st too late. NEVER tried the food, but if it’s anything like the service… Hmmm. Question is will I go back??? Only if im invited or if it’s my very last Resort. I will never recommend this place. Maybe to my worst enemy…

The waitress with short dark hair was terrible. She was rude, took an hour and a half to get food and she never brought out second beers. We had to go to the bar to pay and she actually threw a pen at me. Food was average, atmosphere good but may not return if that’s how they all act.

It’s a cool spot for a dive bar. The open to the sidewalk layout is an awesome feature. Good beer selection that compliments their bar food items.

Really nice place with a really nice ambiance. I came here on a Wednesday afternoon so service the place was pretty empty. Service was quick, beer was ice cold, and my steak salad was definitely above average. All in all we had a really nice time here. Very chill place to kick it when you really need a cold one!

NEVER GO HERE! ABUSIVE BOUNCER ALMOST KNOCKED OUT MY FRIEND’S TOOTH WITH THREE BLOWS TO THE FACE.
Let me preface the story with that fact that my friend was in no way being aggressive and was joking around with bouncer in a playful way.
We were going out to the bars on Friday 9÷11÷15, for my friend’s 21^st birthday and his ID had expired 2 days before on his birthday and the new one simply hadn’t come in yet. at every other bar it wasn’t an issue. At Acapulco Inn the bouncer noticed and told my friend he wouldn’t let him in. My Friend, thinking he was joking around, joked around back and said, «What? you’ll let me in, right? I took Business Law.»
Without any hesitation… the bouncer was struck by some kind of blind rage and PUNCHED my friend directly in the mouth THREE TIMES. He then THREW my friend to the side causing him to BREAK OFF A SIDE MIRROR OF A MUSTANG.
I’ve never been more shocked and infuriated at the same time. The incident was completely UNCALLED FOR and UNJUSTIFIED. my friend has WHIPLASH, a fat lip, a bruised collar bone and a bruised elbow. I’m honestly surprised he didn’t lose a tooth. I must have yelled at him for five minutes straight and the other bouncers let it happen because they knew what had happened was completely out of line.
This bouncer was a shorter (about 5’10″), heavy built Samoan guy with short hair.
We notified police who were down the street but didn’t want to spend the rest of his birthday night pressing charges. the bouncer should have been charged with battery. If anything this bouncer needs to be FIRED. This was a straight case of assault and He ruined a good part of my friend’s birthday.
If this is how a bouncer at AI’s acts on the job to an innocent customer, this establishment is UNSAFE to ever go to. I know my friends and I have all decided we will not take our business there ever again and I hope you consider that too.

Friend lost an ID and there’s no way to get ahold of this place. Phone is always busy! Besides that it’s a great spot! Due to trying to get a hold of them since Sunday. Until then. 3 stars.

All beers and they have a nice selection. It isn’t the cleanest, but it isn’t a bad place to get a few beers at all. It usually isn’t too jam packed on the weekend.

OK for a dive bar…2^nd street, pool tables, decent prices.
Visited on a Wed afternoon… first timer. Will be back on a weekend to check out again.

Cool bar with very laid back vibe. Only serves beer and wine tho, no hard liquor.
Tried a few items of food off the menu and wasn’t impressed but it was cheap so you get what you pay for.
Has pool tables and shuffle board, is also very open and roomy

Was in LB and wanted a quick drink. 25 mins for nachos? Waitress walked by us 5 times with out greeting or telling us we needed to order from the bar. Waitress (jersey Solo 1) needs to take a personality class!!! If your that unhappy… Find a new job/​career. Can’t believe management/​owner still have their doors open with this type of service. Bartender getting massages from customers… Low class!

Doesn’t serve hard liquor but the best n safest bar to be at. Security be on their game. Bartenders are sweet. The fries is on point and the ranch that goes with it is the bomb. I’m wondering if one of the security guards will let me take him out. It’s such a turn on to see him serious and tell me to keep stepping baby girl.. Its crazy how many people think they’re sober and start to challenge the guards. Why can’t people just have fun? The sensitive ones that cry and complain are most likely the drunk ones or the ones that think their better than everyone. Ur at a bar booboo, their ain’t no special treatment when ur drunk so buck up. Love this bar n yes… THE CUSTOMER IS USUALLY WRONG.

This place is 60 yrs old. Order bottles. Itd be cool if they bleached the bathrooms too

I used to love this bar. I signed up for Unilocal due to the treatment I received at this bar. The security guards used to be firm yet kind but as of late everything has changed. I don’t know if AI has hired a new security guard, but he needs to go. As a woman and a law school student, I have never felt so sexually harassed and threatened. Instead of asking us to leave politely he pulled the chairs out from beneath us and resulted to profanity and slut shaming. I used to always recommend AI but I have never been subjected to such vulgar treatment. This security guard said his name was, «June,» but we are sure he just made up a name to quiet us. We asked his coworkers what his name was and they too made up a vulgar laughable name to defend his coworker. I have never been subjected to such horrid treatment and I hope I never will have to be again.

I have been to this bar many times over the years. I frequent this bar at different times of the day & throughout the year and its always a good experience for me. I don’t know if any other bar on 2^nd street has a pool table; that’s the main reason I come here. They have a wide variety of beers & though I do not drink it, my friends love it. The food menu consists of your typical bar food. Personally I love the food here. The bartenders are cordial. One of the owners «Hawaiian Bob» is short in stature but very visible. He seems to be the life of the party. The bar hosts/​Door man/​bar backs are all very friendly. They make everyone feel safe when we come here. Many of my friends come here because of the constant great experiences I have here. I really don’t have anything bad to say other than the line for the restroom gets ridiculous. Friday & Saturday night tends to be a lot of «College Kids» but that’s to be expected. I highly recommend people to come down & check it out at least once.

Great spot to take a group of friends on a Friday night. Or a Saturday. Or a Sunday.
Actually, probably never a bad time to hit this place up. Always seems to have a lot going on during the weekend. Highly recommended.

Pros: indoor outdoor setting, spacious and great prices.
Cons: it’s always packed and you can never really get a chance to play any games.
Experience:
If you come here don’t expect it to not be crowded. The beer is pretty cheap especially by the pitcher but there’s a wide variety for draft beer. It’s such a good place to be in the summer since it gets so hot inside the bars or clubs because it’s like a big patio with a roof.
It’s completely a dive bar because of its run down look and the horrible bathrooms which are smaller than all hell but I know expect this at any bar. Lol
Conclusion:
It’s a place still keep coming to because I’m a college student needing a beer.
