Hands down the best semi-Chicago style deep dish pizza South of Denver. A large for two people is about the max you can eat in a meal here.

Exhausted from travel and work, I Unilocaled the closest pizza place who could deliver a pie to my hotel in 30 minutes or less. RMP was the quickie winner! The guy taking my order over the phone was helpful, describing the pizzas and even applying a discount to my order for me! My delivery gal was super quick and friendly! Unfortunately the service doesn’t match the product. I ordered a regular(not deep-dish) pie with a smattering of vegetables. This thing was COVERED in rubbery cheese, the crust was quite doughy, and the worst part was the veggies(green bell pepper, onions). They were cut into ridiculously huge pieces, so they were totally raw. I guess they should’ve taken longer and fully cooked my pizza. :( On the positive, this was a solo work trip, so I didn’t gross anyone out too horribly with my atrocious raw onion breath.

Was looking forward to trying«da beef!» Waited 20+ minutes to get it done, no one else was in the place so not sure why so long. Got home, ready to dive in and what do I find – a bbq beef – YUCK!!! For those that don’t know, it’s nothing like a Chicago beef. Can’t believe you can screw up an order when I was the only one in the place. By the way, took a bite, after all I was hungry, and it was awful! Coated with BBQ sauce – soupy even. The cost with cheese and peppers(forgo these too-peppers are tidbits) $ 8.96. Instead head to Chicago’s R Dogs, also in Lone Tree, for true Chicago beef. So sorry I gave this place a try! Would give it 0 stars if that was a choice!

I have been eating at Rocky Mountain Pie going on 5 years now. I have not found a pizza place with food as delicious as Rocky Mountain Pie, and I even lived in Chicago and ate at many of the places people consider to be the greatest. The pizza has great cheese, and is combined with their homemade red-sauce. They do not mess around with toppings either, providing plentiful amounts of meats and fresh cut vegetables, or any other topping you can think of. The italian sausage is especially good. I typically always buy the Dough Dough pizza, as I like the rolled crust topped with garlic butter, but each style of pizza is worthy of buying. The staff deserve mentioning as well. Attire is informal(most employees wear jeans and a t-shirt), but they are some of the most genuinely kind people I have ever met. Sure, maybe they are just working for tips, but they do it well, and I do not mind. I also have to find fault with a previous reviewer who said that the deep dish was«dough-y and unappetizing.» I think the«dough-y» that she was referring to was cheese, and she just does not realize that deep dish pizzas have cheese on top of the crust. I do not know how to reason with the ludicrous«unappetizing» comment, though. Very good food. Highly recommended.

No. Just no. Deep dish pizza was dough-y and unappetizing. Why did I even consider getting deep dish in Denver?

I’m basing this review on the Chicago deep dish pizza as I’ve not tried a regular za here. I saw decent reviews here for the Chicago style, so thought I’d give it a try. It’s a small, family-run joint with about ten tables where the previous partner was from Chicago. Overall, the pie was decent. I got the Italian Sausage as it’s a Chicago thang. The sauce was good with a nice, but not overpowering oregano presence. The crust was a bit dry and not rich like a Chicago-style crust should be. The Italian Sausage was also cut up into chunks as opposed to removed from the casing and spread throughout the pie. Overall, decent and might be better for thin crust, but I’m still looking for a place that can get me a Chicago-style deep dish that bears any resemblance to those you can find in Chi-town.

I haven’t had better deep dish pizza outside of Chicago. We ordered spinach and mushrooms and both toppings were plentiful and real, actual fresh veggies rather than squishy canned or frozen garbage. We picked ours up this time but I’ll be back to eat in-house as the staff was exceptionally warm and friendly. The restaurant is easy to get to from Lone Tree, Highlands Ranch, C470, or I25 but I don’t think they get much foot traffic and the restaurant was pretty quiet when I was there(admittedly early) on a Friday. I hope they get busier later as I’d like to have them around for a while.

Definitely not great. They offer three different crusts: thin, double dough and Chicago style. To be fair, I haven’t tried the Chicago style and judging from the other reviews it’s the best. The thin crust was one of the worst I’ve had. Double dough was a little bit better, but like the thin crust it had a soft flavorless crust. If the prices were more in-line with the lower quality chain restaurants it may be worth another stop, but not where their prices currently are. If you DO buy pizza from here follow these instructions: Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees Place recently purchased pizza on center rack Bake for 8 – 10 mins. Pizza crust should be edible when finished

This place is AWESOME! The chicago style is amazing but we usually get thin crust. He uses a ton of fresh ingredients and the salads are huge. MUST end with one of their homemade brownies! The owner is the slient business man type but makes most things from scratch(including the greek dressing) and it shows.

While visiting from Chicago, we had to try this pizza! We were in the mood for thin crust and it did not disappoint. The sauce was fresh & really tasty, full of flavor. We had pepperoni and it was also really good. The cheese tasted great, too. The crust was nicely proportioned. Hard to explain how well it all just worked together, but you just need to try this pizza! Also, we asked for a recommendation for dessert and it was suggested to try the chocolate chip cookies or brownies, which are made right there. We opted for the brownie and I’m happy to report that it was delicious, moist & very chocolatey — without being overly rich. Nice job! Great service & very friendly employees tops off this review. You can’t go wrong when staff is nice and helpful. When we return, we can’t wait to try the deep dish!

This is the BEST pizza for miles! Lone Tree, the home of millions of chain restaurants, and then there is RMP. Praise the Lord! We order once a week and have never ever ever been disappointed. They have a super special on Tuesday and Wednesday. 14″ with two toppings for $ 7.99. It arrives PIPING hot, cheese(real cheese-tasty) perfectly melted and generous portions of toppings. The sauce is tangy but not overwhelming. This is a family owned and operated pizza parlor serving delicious Chicago Style Pizza and lots more. Folks, PLEASE support local businesses; they deserve our loyalty and our dollars. This is leaps and bounds over Dominos, Pizza Hut, etc. We need to keep local businesses.

I am originally from Chicago and have not found a Chicago Style that fits my unending cravings for a saucy deep dish. Rocky Mountain fills the void! The sauce has a spice and small kick. Know what your getting into with deep dish, each slice is a meal in itself! If you are in Lone tree or live close stop and check them out ! Well worth the trip.

Had it. Didn’t hate it. Didn’t love it; I think Pequods is the standard by which all other pizza is judged, but will order it again if ever in the area. It is billed as Chi-Town pizza in the CO and yet when I ordered a pan they seemed puzzled… They deliver to my hotel here so that’s a bonus when you don’t feel like socializing with co-workers! And they gave me not one, but two ranch dressing cups with my pie! Bonus and definite three stars regardless of pie sapidness…

Rocky Mountain left a flier on our front door and we thought we’d give them a try. The garlic cheese bread was alright, but the pizza was pretty flavorless. We actually put salt on our pizza to bring out some flavor. Probably won’t be ordering from them again =\

I am not reviewing the pizza as I didn’t order it during my visit here. I did have a sandwich – the beef and sausage. I liked the beef but the casing on the sausage was impenetrable(is that a word?). Seriously I had to do some serious biting to get through it. I ended up taking the entire sausage out of the sandwich to just eat the beef part. On the plus side, the employees were super friendly. The cheese was perfectly melted on top of the ‘wich. The prices seemed reasonable, but looked like they could add up for toppings on pizzas. I might be back to try some of their interesting looking pies. But for now it’s two stars.

I only come here to get chicago style deep dish pizza which is fantastic. The tomatos on that pie taste really good! They spruced up their interior which makes it a bit better to eat in but really I’d say its a take out/delivery place.

Can’t speak for the location, but I can pass judgment on the delivery menu and the pie. Menu. lots o’ options. Anchovies and pineapple anyone? No that’s not a premade concoction but how drunk would you have to be to put those together? Prices for pie and toppings are comparable to other joints. No buck saving here. As for the pie, this pizza is no where near crème de la crème. Soft pliable crust. Lots of cheese, so much we couldn’t tell the difference in our half & half pizza. Probably didn’t help that the toppings were scarce. I like flavor in every bite, I found a nugget of tasty masked in greasy cheese maybe every third bite. No go. The biggest disappointment was the sauce. No pop, no contribution to the overall flavor of their pie. Maybe they added the can of tomato sauce while making it and forgot the rest of the ingredients? When I visit family in this neck of the woods, I’ll urge to order from somewhere else.
