It’s a ho hum Italian strip mall restaurant. That might be enough said. The only thing decent is the comprese. The eggplant is too strong and odd. I’m not positive but I thing they use box noodles which strikes me as odd for a restaurant that has«pasta» in the name. If you have to have Italian and you have no where else to go, I guess come here.

If the word pasta is in the name wouldn’t you think they actually put some effort into making ALL the pasta? They only make the sauce from scratch, the ravioli, and the pizza. The Caprese salad was okay, but the mozzarella was a little dry. The spaghetti is BOXED noodles. We asked three servers for sweet and low and they all forgot. Our appetizer and main course came out at the same time, and we still hadn’t had the sweetener at our table. I would go somewhere else.

I’ve been to all 3 Pasta Jays locations and have had great experiences at them all! Most complaints about this place on Unilocal are about the service but personally I’ve never had any complaints. The servers at this location were recently upgraded from some ditzy teenage girls to some people a bit more professional as well. The food is great and I’ll keep coming back when I’m in town!

Service was a little slow considering we were the only ones in there, but the food was good and the portions were large. The spinach artichoke dip wasn’t served with enough stuff to dip, but was still tasty. We would return.

Love this place! We prefer the lone tree location, but like both. Try the tortellini Alfredo, it is so good! The marinara sauce has a little spice to it. Love the ambiance!

Had lunch with 4 others as I had eaten here in the past. It has been a while since I had been there but I remember it being good. WE were all disappointed in the food and service. Our office just moved to the area and we are scratching it off of the list of nearby restaurants. The restaurant was not busy and probably took over 30 minutes to get our food. Over seasoned garlic bread and everyone felt their choice was tasteless. Except, my meat sauce was too spicey for me to eat. Wont be going back.

Good food. The staff — not the greatest but not the worst. I had a decent pasta and everyone else at my table had great looking meals. My major complaint: FOUNTAINTEA!!! I was shocked. I ordered an iced tea and it was Nestea from the fountain. How does a place like this not have brewed iced tea? Don’t let that detract you from coming here one date night tho — it’s great.

We ate at Pasta Jays on a Saturday evening. The wait was long and we could see open tables all around. Once we were seated we were stuffed in a corner in a table that barely fit the bread basket. When our food came out, our disappointment grew. We are big fans of Pasta Jays in Boulder, which is why we decided to try this local option. In comparison, you would have thought they were two completely different restaurants. The pasta was overcooked and much greasier than the Boulder location. It was edible, but I don’t think we will be returning. Just not a good experience overall…

Neat restaurant with a really inviting décor. Ordered the spaghetti meatballs for lunch. You can bring a large group to this place. Great service and quite a good selection of Italian dishes. Bread is included with lunch. I am surprised that they don’t offer a good selection of appetizers.

Hoping for a relaxing and quiet dinner but turned out the staff was loud, joking and playing around with each other than taking care of the paying customers. Very unprofessional! Conversation among staff was voicing their complaints of management. Observed cook preparing food and eating at the Same time… Yuck! I’ve rated at all of the pasta jays. I’ve noticed that this one is never busy and seems to be struggling… Hummmmm I wonder why?

Pasta Jays… first visit was a success! The Park Meadows area is filled with places to eat, but one place stuck out as we could smell the wonderful smell of garlic across the parking lot and our noses led us to Pasta Jays! We were seated right a way, the inside of the restaurant reminds me of old Italy and the waitress was wonderful! The portion size is huge, you really get your money worth, had enough for dinner and probably two more meals; all meals served with their yummy garlic bread. Great fun family restaurant would go back for sure! Only giving 4 stars because getting water, garlic bread and the check was a little slow.

I eat here 4 – 5 times per year and I can say that the food keeps me coming back. The salad and bread compliment the food well and they have a nice selection of wine and beer. The service at this location has always been hit or miss. Sometimes like last night because they are busy but trying very hard and super nice and maybe a little understaffed or other times like our April visit when i witnessed some of the staff underperforming — time to lean=time to clean right? Good food for sure!

I’ve given Pasta Jay’s a few more chances and I can honestly say it’s gotten better every time. The service has improved and I’m a bit hooked on the baked pasta! The marinara sauce is one of the best I’ve had. Very delicious. It’s a great date night place, leaving those stuffy chain restaurants in the dust. It’s a must try… and may I recommend the baked spaghetti and the pasta noto with chicken. Yum!

What a great experience at Pasta Jays! We came in on an unexpectedly snowy April evening. What a great find for good quality comfort food. We originally had reservations at The Kitchen, but we weren’t impressed with the treatment we received from the hostess and decided to cancel and leave. Luckily for us, we stumbled upon Jays. Being from out of town, we didn’t know the area very well and made a bet. Thankfully, it paid off in spades. We were very kindly received by the hostess and seated immediately. We were informed the owner’s son was celebrating his birthday at a large table near us and we were asked if that was okay since it may get«loud». We were so happy to be warm and seated and definitely didn’t mind being seated near a birthday celebration! Natalia, our server, was awesome! She was kind, attentive, and great at what she does! Thoroughly enjoyed the experience with her. She was the one who pointed out Jay to us and let us know that he was the owner. She asked where we were from and upon letting her know we are from Southern California, she informed us Jay’s uncle has a restaurant very close to where we live! We were happy to get a recommendation. We introduced ourselves to Jay and what a fantastic person! Personable, kind, humble, and authentic. What a great introduction and a nice guy! He was very generous with filling our glasses with wine and made sure our food was perfect! He wouldn’t let us eat until the lasagna was cooked just right. It was a stellar experience! Thank you to everyone at Jay’s!

I have been going to Pasta Jay’s in Boulder for years and have never been disappointed. After my first trip here I can say this location is just as good as Boulder. Heck, it is better in the fact there is free parking right by the front door. Anyway, let me suggest what I had tonight, the Jumbo Spicey Shells with the Spinach Salad beforehand. It was FANTASTIC!!! Ignore the other reviews that gave Pasta Jay’s anything less than 4 – 5 stars!

The first time I came I ordered the stuff chicken genovese. The best Italian dish I ever had. So I came back to try the chicken parmesan two days later and it was fried to death. It even had bored edges. I came back again and then had the pizza… it was good. Overall the food is great but one thing I hated was that they left the front door wide open and you have to shoo flys while your eating. Would get more stars if not for flys !!!

We first went to Pasta Jays for dinner with a groupon. It was busy, we waited a while and were eventually seated. We waited for 30 minutes and still no waiter/waitress. We got up and left. We didnt want to go back, but since we didnt want to waste the groupon we went back. We had great service the second time. The manager even comped our entire meal once we explained what happened last visit. Unfortunately, the food wasnt good. Im being polite here, the food was terrible. I feel so bad saying this too. Service and management was amazing. We went back for a third time(to use the groupon) and again, food was terrible. Maybe it is just not my taste? Overall, services and atmosphere was great. Give it a try, you may like it. To each their own, right? As im writting this review my husband wants you all to know he liked the food and im just extremely picky. Fair statement.

RUDERUDERUDE! It all started when I went to pick up my to go order. Asked her to split the charges, she acted like it was the most inconvenient thing. Any question I asked she snapped back with a rude response. Come to find out she was the so called«manager», Suzy. We ordered the caprese salad that was $ 7 and chicken added to it that was $ 4. Total cost for salad $ 11. We open the salad and it has 4 lettuce leaves, 5 chicken strips, and is drenched in sauce. Not a salad what so ever. I went to return the«salad.» Asked the manager if this was how the salad always is, she says yes in a frustrated tone. And just says«if you don’t like it I’ll just comp the meal, satisfied?» I was blown away at the lack of customer service. ESPECIALLY when she’s supposed to be the manager. Never will return.
