The owners have so much passion for what they do. I have heard many great things about them and their craft over the years. We had a great experience here and loved the wines! I would say that this place is one of the anchors of the wine ghetto. Great people and great experience!

Ariel and Angela are the greatest people. They area very small winery but have some great wines. Even though they are small they do not charge you to taste as some in the Ghetto. It is well worth stopping by and meet they great people and sample their wines.

Not only is the wine incredible, but so is the service. The owners are the wine makers and they run the tasting room as well. We had the best experience; the wife helped us and not only was it interesting to learn about their wines but she was so gracious, so warm and so welcoming. We’ll definitely be buying more La Vie wine.

What makes the Lompoc Wine Ghetto so great is it has multiple wineries, which most are great, all packed into a small industrial looking area in Lompoc where Hwy 1& Hwy 246 meet. The La Vie’s(Husband, Wife team & now a cute daughter) have their whole operation in this one facility. They do it all here, by themselves(& with alittle help from friends from time to time). Make the wine, store it, bottle it and pour in the tasting room, usually with some great music. This is a hand crafted rootsy operation that you don’t see too often in this world of big business wineries. The tasting room is quaint but it is all you really need. I recommend the Rasta Rita Pinot, turn up the bass and rock out!

I was frustrated with the prices wineries were charging for Vintners Fest weekend. Melville was $ 10 for wines that were OK. Babcock was $ 20 for wines that were less so. I struck up a conversation with a gentleman outside this winery I was unfamiliar with and he convinced me to give it a try. A rich variety from from different years, poured for free. I bought some and appreciated the different take on consumer relations

We decided to give them another visit while on our semi annual trip up to Santa Maria /Los Olivos area. The tasting room is a bit small and unfortunately it was hot in there. They had a small floor fan trying to keep the room cool while we tasted the wines. The guy pouring wasn’t too friendly and quickly described each wine after each pour. 1 Pinot stood out(05 black mountain reserve) that we ended up buying but i think i may have buyers remorse. I’ll update once the bottle has been open.

Smaller, family owned winery. Great Pinot Noirs, Syrahs, etc. The tasting room is a smaller one, but great wines and family members are actually pouring so very knowledgeable. The Pinot(we bought) was excellent!
