Dr. Huss was nice but I’m sorry, his staff is HORRIBLE. Mainly the lady at the front desk Tami. We are a military family, and my husband was deployed during my pregnancy, unfortunately we had a miscarriage early on. Tami was the rudest most condescending person I’ve ever encountered in this setting. For an OBGYN office who works with pregnant women, many of whom leave the office with bad news, her attitude is just not a good fit for this setting. Maybe she’s been doing it too long. His nurse was OK, she wasn’t rude and she wasn’t nice. When Dr. Huss advised me of miscarriage, she walked out of the room and didn’t return. I think Dr. Huss is nice and I know several people love him, but his staff brings his office down and for that reason alone I would never return. I collected my records from his office and never returned. With my husband being deployed and the loss of a pregnancy I am shocked at the treatment I received. I was warned about his rude staff before I chose him as a doctor but I didn’t listen, I should have.

I was new in town and didn’t know where to go for the gyno. I called around and Sansum had a 2 month wait to even get an appointment. I decided to do better and called around. I got an appointment here for the next week. Before the exam part, Dr. Huss met me in his office and actually talked to me like I am a real human being. I thought he was supernice and felt really comfortable during the exam. The staff was all pretty nice. I haven’t been back because I am seeing a specialist. He has pictures of babies he delivered(including his own children) all over the walls, so if you though you would find a male OB/GYN creepy, you will actually feel very comfortable. You’re in good hands here for you and for pre-natal care and delivery. The Lompoc Record just featured Dr. Huss on the front page because he was voted the to be the top physician of the year by the Lompoc Hospital.
