I got takeout from here on the way to work one day. It was DELICIOUS. However, a little bit pricey. I would recommend it. Take out service was extremely quick(ready in 10 minutes). I ordered breakfast and a coffee and it was $ 12 bucks, not bad, but not cheap either. Worth it because the food was so good.

My kids and I were going to Blueberry Café, until my daughter assume it was going to be hours of wait, lol. So I Unilocal the next breakfast spot and came up with Egg harbor. While eating at a place that was hard to find in a mall. The over all food was GREAT, we all tried something different and enjoyed what we order. On the other hand, our waiter was friendly, but his game was off. Things that should have been on the table like silverware, water, syrup etc wasnt and we continous had to ask for something. Other than that he was great and we will visit again…

They have 100 different ways to dress up your eggs. They have a few locations and the food is pretty good.

Not a fan of the location(it’s in a mall), but the food is very good and the waiter was friendly. I was really torn between 3 and 5 stars… weird, right? But there’s something sterile about the place… like my grandparents would love it. But the food is really good and they seem to use local ingredients. So I settled on 4 stars; it’s a fair but unenthusiastic rating.

This is potentially one of the best brunches I have had the pleasure of enjoying. Service and food are completely outstanding here– high quality and major wow factor. They offer a super creative menu of brunch drinks. The menu was awesome, so creative and as it turns out. Delicious! We had Gras fed Burger and cup of Cream of Chicken with wild Rice and it taste so great. We enjoyed eating them. Dishes are cooked to perfection. So good overall, a great experience and I can’t wait to go back to try some of their special dish. My mouth is already mouthwatering.

My go to for breakfast or brunch while visiting Yorktown. This has been a mainstay for 20 years so they are doing something right! Always good service with very few exceptions. They do not serve the normal greasy spoon type menu nor dessert. So a breakfast joint? Or greasy burger and fries? Not happening. What they do offer is wonderful flavored teas or iced tea, Intelligensia Coffee, and a great soup of the day list. I have ordered Casey;s crepes which are not on their normal menu anymore but a special occasionally. They will make it up for you. Crêpe filled with their tasty chicken salad. You get the harbor potatoes and their salad on the side. My family orders the pancakes which are huge. We have learned to only order 1 pancake which feeds an adult just fine. We also get the cinnamon roll french toast. Just the title has you! The good news, the large normal portions can be half for the sandwich and soup if needed. My grilled cheese with tomato and bacon in the half size was plenty. It came with their salad and I chose the chicken and rice soup. You can go for years and still not order the whole menu. They loves small kids and babies too! My kids started going there when they were 2 weeks old.

Local-ish chain with a decent line on breakfast. It’s less maddening than eating in the mall, and they execute breakfast standards perfectly well. It can be pretty crowded, though, and hectic, in that special way mainstream breakfast joints can be; and the décor leans pretty heavy on the ‘kitchen of a retired grandmother in Iowa’ style. It’s not bad, it’s not great. The best thing about it is reading the menu in a pirate voice. You make your own fun.

3 stars for this breakfast joint. You don’t have a lot of options for breakfast. I like a huge variety. Mediocre. Service was fine when I went, food was OK… And I mean just OK. I’ve tried their lunch option too, sandwhich that comes with fries. You have to get the half sandwhich if you wanna add soup. Didn’t like that. I love with my meal is a full course and i don’t have to downsize or pay extra. So, minus some points there. I prefer blueberry hill café. But if your in the area and have a hunger — by all means. Not my «go to» breakfast joint. Lack of options. Ok food. Regular menu.

Cute diner atmosphere. Kids had fun with the balloon twisting lady. That’s about as far as it goes. Food is mediocre at best. Coffee was awful and burned. Service was terrible: forgot 2 dishes, butter, forks, and straws. Paid about $ 50 for a meal that was with $ 25. Never again will we go there.

Egg harbor is one of mine and my families all time favorite breakfast locations. They just have the best menu to choose from. Our favorites are the combo with the cinnamon roll French toast. You really can’t pass up the cinnamon roll French toast!!! I have tried so many things here, and not one has disappointed. Make sure to go early on the weekends or during the week, though. They are always super, super busy, no matter the location. It also gets really loud in there because of the ceilings, so don’t expect to have any deep conversations.

This is our family spot! One word: pancakes! Yes are enlaced with crack. Not literally. They are the most amazing pancakes ever introduced to this world of ours. Other nice perks: staff is friendly and service is quick. This location is much better than the DG location. I’m just sad they don’t give the rubber ducks to the kids anymore. #bringbacktheducks

1st star for the selection of options, omelettes, skillets, pancakes, french toast, simple two eggs, bowls etc etc 2nd star for the meal I had which was the veggie plate, broccoli, zucchini, peppers, sweet potato with two poached eggs a whole wheat English muffin with preserves 3rd star for the ‘take out’ cup they offer for the coffee 4th star for having something this decent out in the suburbs! As a side note many people have commented about the size of the meals — I noted many others around me also and i would say the size is a brunch/breakfast portion. I like to eat and I was very satisfied with the amount served. Yes I’ve been to other places where the servings are super sized but I can never finish them and the quality is usually poor too. But for me this was perfect.

3 straight bad experiences but Egg Harbor saved it. Long wait, saw other people that came after us seated. Asked when we would be seated after several such occasions and were seated. Waitress came by and let us know she’d be right back after putting an order in. 2 minutes later, another waiter came by and took our order. Than we waited. And waited. 4 year old is getting impatient(and hungry!). Waiter comes by and pretty nonchalantly tells us he never put in our order and we have to order again because he never bothered to write it down and clearly doesn’t remember. He needs more time on customer service and less on his hair. We were upset. This was our third bad service at 3 different restaurants in a row. Here is where Egg Harbor shined. The initial Waitress came over twice and apologized and assured us we were now a priority. The Manager also stopped by and apologized profusely. When we asked for the check, the Manager again came personally to our table and comped the meal. This turned from a I would never come back situation to a you have the benefit of the doubt situation. After 3 bad experiences in a row at 3 different restaurants, Egg Harbor cared the most and it came through in spades.

We had GREAT service today at the Yorktown location. The food was delicious and our waitress Taylor(female) was outstanding! The food was reasonably priced and the portions were not overwhelming. We will be returning here for breakfast for the remainder of our stay. We returned to this location on Monday August 17th our waiter Taylor(male) was Awesome. The service was wonderful and we will definitely be coming back next time we are in the area!

Great place for a brunch. Plan to wait on any weekend though at least 20 mins. I had their new eggs Benedict that was amazing with fresh veggies! Friend had a lobster soufflé(I think it was a soufflé) regardless it was amazing too. During weekends they have a balloon guys that walks around for the kids. Nice treat good family atmosphere.

I stopped here for lunch before walking around the mall, the is a good bonus for Yorktown Mall. We were seated promptly and warmly, the waitress soon arrived and took our drink order. Egg Harbor has a very large menu and includes a lot of healthy menu items. I did not choose a healthy item, I had the Egg Harbor Café special Santa Fe Roll ups. They were very tasty with good flavor and fresh ingredients. The service here was very good, our waitress was prompt and friendly. I would say I enjoyed their breakfast more, so will definitely go back for breakfast.

Got the standard breakfast, what better way to rate a new restaraunt. Eggs were nice and fluffy. The hash browns were delicious with chives being a nice touch. Turkey bacon was pretty good and the English muffin with preserves was a welcome twist. My basic takeaway was diner breakfast taken up a notch. Which brings me to the only real negative, you’re going to pay for that extra notch. Little pricey and slightly undersized portions. Great friendly server and some amazing options on the menu(cinnamon roll French toast anyone?) Will probably warrant another visit.

Stopped here for breakfast on Saturday. I had Texas French toast which was delicious. I ordered the strawberry: orange juice which was refreshing. Server was prompt and attentive. Definitely recommend this place for breakfast. Update: been to this place a few times since and although staff is pleasant as well in terms of food quality has gone down. Additionally for some reason all the plates have a strong smell of eggs. I ordered crepes but their was an overwhelming smell.

This place gets 4.5 stars, not just 4. The offering of Strawberry OJ was perfect. And is perfect. Fresh squeezed orange juice with a big taste of strawberry is so great first thing in the morning. Probably any time for that matter. I saw lobster on the menu, and that’s what I ordered. While we waited for breakfast, my date was commenting on kids and how he didn’t want any. But I did note to him how well behaved they all were and how quiet they all were.(And there were a lot of kids all over). Then we saw the Balloon Man. Whoever hired this guy to make balloon animals is a GENIOUS!!!(happy dinosaurs with teeth! — who does that? who CAN do that!!?) Had the smiling kids mesmerized! Breakfast came and mine was the perfect size boat of creamy scrambled eggs and nice lobster chunks(and I can be ultra picky with my lobster — these were fab. They are what I would expect at the Ritz Carlton. No joke.) and just enough cheese to comlpiment and not overwhelm. The country potatoes that came with it were really good too = pan fried cuboids that were not greasy at all! I was at the shop in Arlington Heights and I don’t remember it being so good. I wil remember the breakfast here. Thank you!
