Situated is a pretty isolated part of Ohio, this is a diamond in the rough. This is my second time here in 24 hours. Full bar, authentic Southern BBQ and what seems to be a friendly waitstaff… what more could you want. The bar scene is pretty basic. Nothing much more than the standard draft beer, Long Island and Margaritas… but they’re all good. And the beer is ICECOLD. The food can definitely stand on its on. Freshly smoked meats are delicious. The Smoked Sausage and Turkey are MUSTHAVE items. Both delicious, smoked and not dry at all. I also has the beans and Mac and Cheese. Both were good, but not the best I’ve had. But who cares. Carnivores will delight in the many BBQ options. The little corn muffins aren’t half bad either. This place is clean too which is important to me. Don’t miss this place, don’t go any where else. Just stop in, get comfy and have a great meal in little Logan, Ohio.

Nice place, service was very good. Cornbread muffins were great. Wings smoked with house sauce was tops for our table. Pulled Pork was good. Brisket sandwich was good but little dry and mostly trim pieces. If the bun were better would have been an out standing meal. The bun seemed like discount Kroger hamburger bun, 18 hr smoke brisket to end on such a weak bread was a shame. Service and wings saved it though.

Excellent service… just wish I could remember the waitress’s name to give her a shout out! We had the pulled pork and it was very good. Tender and just the right amount of smoke flavor.

Thank you Millstone for great service and a fantastic meal. I am the general manager at Tansky Motors Toyota and Ford in Logan. We were having a Toyota meeting at our store and needed a relaxing place to eat and show off the hospitality of our Hocking Hills. You Guys Rock!! Every one got something different to eat and it was perfect! Hats off to you folks now the staff wants to bring more Toyota brass in for our next meeting and dine here again!

Quite a delightful find on my way back from a day of hiking at Old Mans Cave. Fresh warm corn bread muffins are served as you’re deciding on your entrée selection. Great BBQ choices, the smoked turkey was top notch. Friendly service and great people to chat with at the bar… an definite must stop in town!

Expected a tourist trap and had a very attentive and friendly server, reasonably priced yummy food and very quick service. The cornbread muffins were delicious. Pulled pork, pulled chicken and brisket were all great. Had to box up half of my meal it was so large.

We had dinner here based on what friends had said about the place. I had the sirloin steak. It was cooked to order, but half of it couldn’t be eaten, mostly fat. One other in our party ordered sirloin, had to be sent back twice. Also, same person and with my order, French fries were ordered. Server had to be asked twice where they were. Would I return? Probably not.

The first time I went I had brisket and chicken and beans and corn bread and Mac and cheese. I didn’t care for the beans they didn’t feel homemade maybe bushes baked beans with meat added. The brisket was okay nothing to rave about. Now the chicken was awesome!!! Mac and cheese ok nothing again to rave about! Their little corn muffins, were very good and moist and I’m not really into corn bread but they were good. Service was ok, could have been a lot better. I went again a couple days later got ribs and chicken no beans this time had coleslaw instead which was good.

Came here when visiting hocking hills. To be honest I was really impressed. The wait was a bit long, but we sat at the bar so boy waited 10 min or so. They serve hot corn bread which was pretty good. I ordered the half a rack of ribs and my friend ordered the steak. The ribs were amazing! I would recommend them and that’s why I have 5 star! The steak was meh.

We stopped by this BBQ place on the way back from Hocking Hills. I have some ribs and my wife had a sirloin steak. The food was ok, but nothing great to brag about. The flavor was not there, too much BBQ sauce and the meat was tasteless. I don’t think we are going back.

Sat at the bar and waited 10 minutes without even being greeted while bartenders greeted two other parties who arrived after me, so I got up and took my business elsewhere. Will NOT be back.

Very disappointed. We ordered our food, all BBQ, so nothing needed cooked to order. After an hour and many table turnovers around us we decided to leave. I can say the cornbread is great, the burnt ends are really brisket cubes wrapped in bacon, but still tasty. I feel awful for our waitress, she was very attentive and apologetic, it’s just unfortunate that no one backed her up and any kitchen expediter worth their salt would’ve taken care of it the first time she inquired about it.

We decided to stop here because it was right off of the freeway on our way to Hocking Hills State Park. I’ts set back and you might think you’re about to drive into a residential neighborhood. We were hungry & the restaurant smelled deliciously of smoked meat(not great if you’re bringing a non-BBQ or veg person). So if you knew me personally, you’d know that I love anything more if it comes in miniature sizes — these corn muffins included. HOTDAMN I ate the whole basket. I ordered a pulled pork sammy & my boyfriend ordered a fat plate of pulled pork & beans. Everything came out very quick. The BBQ wasn’t the best I’ve ever had– it was a little dry & could’ve used some more smokey flavor, but as a sammy, it satisfied. The mac n’ cheese was killer — it was thick & saucy(think Stauffers like your mom used to make). The baked beans stole the show, I mixed everything up(a little mac n cheese, a little beans, a lotta sauce smashed into the cornbread was a dream!) The service was good, the atmosphere was family friendly and overall, it’s exactly what I wanted/expected out of the Logan version of BBQ.

I had the pulled chicken sandwich, husbo had full slab of ribs. My kids loved the children’s menu, and I love they had crayons and cups with lids. The fries were perfectly salty and crisp. The corn muffins with sweet butter were perfect. We had a great meal in a wonderful atmosphere. The BBQ wasn’t super-traditional, but their spin on it worked great. Would definitely eat here again.

Very good food, got the sampler so was able to try a little bit of everything. Would recommend the trip to try it. The«burnt ends» weren’t quite what a true burnt end should be, but wasn’t bad. Dessert was great. Recommend the apple nachos.

Delicious food and fast, friendly service. Definitely get the ribs! And don’t forget to try the corn muffins. Boyfriend and I got the Meat Sampler to split — did not disappoint.

We went to Millstone as a part of our 9th anniversary weekend. The prices were very good. The food was excellent, atmosphere is really cool and rustic. We had the pulled pork and brisket sandwiches, no complaints here. We decided on this restaurant as a result of doing a Unilocal search and were not disappointed. Will come back again when we are in the area. The server was pleasant, friendly and hospitable. Highly recommended after a day of hiking. Chris & RaeLynn Louisville, OH «Go Buckeyes»

If bacon-wrapped burnt ends sounds like something you might enjoy, then this is place needs to be on your list! While that appetizer was good, the smoked wings with a good dry rub stole the show. Stopped here for lunch on a Wednesday, but was pleased to see a long lineup of live music for the next couple of months. More than a handful of taps, there seemed to be a lot of signs for Yuengling. The pulled pork was good, albeit a touch dry, but the sausage casing’s snap and juicy interior. Two tomato-based sauces on the table, regular and hot, complimented the meat. My mac ‘n cheese was run of the mill and the baked beans were not quite to my liking, but I don’t worry about sides too much. The cornbread mini-muffins were sweet and tasty. Millstone isn’t the best bbq place I’ve ever visited, but for a small town in central Ohio I was certainly impressed, especially with the sausage and wings. Certainly not a hole-in-the-wall, the menu has a bit more of chain feeling. Plenty of seating and high ceilings.

Menu items rate as adequate up to quite good. You get 3 mini corn muffins per person automatically, as other places would give you bread. ITISSOGOOD. I was starving and they were tasty and lovely. If you want pulled pork but also sides, bypass the sandwich option and go for the entrée. You get one baked beans automatically and one other of your choice; but you can substitute the baked beans. I got mashed potatoes(tasty) and mac and cheese(eh). The pulled pork was pretty good. Only sauces, sadly, were spicy and sweet. Only 2 sauces? Boo. The spicy was too hot and the sweet was a bit too sweet(but I preferred it). Service was pretty good but beware — we had to wait minutes. They don’t do reservations and its in a tourist spot, so weekend nights are a nightmare. And they don’t even have wifi to help you kill time :/
