Reasonable prices and very good food. Lots of different types of beers, along with good prices on the domestics.

This place rocks. At the time of writing, they have 65 taps and most is Michigan beer. Come for they tap take overs, but come early as they fill up quickly. The place is also a golf course.

I give this place a high rating for their beer on tap list. Always rotating and very extensive. Now…the owners need to seriously invest in some sound deadening material in the ceiling. Even when it isn’t busy it’s hard to carry on a conversation with anyone due to the noise level. Sadly, this is why we pass this place up unless we are watching a game(not talking) or on the patio.

Sadly, I have to knock it down a star. One thing has remained the same. 1 Under has a great tap list. They always have a great variety and some taps that are not easy to find. Prices for beer are decent. However, their growlers and fills are very expensive. An empty growler is $ 10. This is for a standard glass growler that most places sell for $ 3 – 5 max. There isn’t a fancy imprint on it. It’s incredibly basic. The prices to fill the growler are outrageous. I made 2 exceptions here because it was beer that my husband really liked. Also, they do not heat seal the cap. There is no reason why they shouldn’t do that. Service was pretty slow, although they were nice. Our bill was totally screwed up. She charged us for beers that we didn’t order(not extra, just not the ones we ordered). Also, the menu was much smaller. The appetizers list just had a few options, and they were all kind of expensive. No more pretzel sticks? It’s a bar! We ordered steak tips($ 10), which was good. It was also pretty basic with just steak and mushrooms. No sauce to accompany it. 1 Under is a great place if you just want to stop in for a few craft beers and you live near Livonia. There isn’t much else to choose from out there!

I’ll second Kris A.‘s sentiment… this place is a well kept secret, although… lunchtime here… busy busy. This was my first trip to 1 Under and I was sold on it. I didn’t eat but the beer selection is prime and most importantly, they have a steel tip dart board(which is near impossible to find nowadays). Service was fantastic and there’s plenty of TVs for the sports fans.

From the outside this looks like a lower level banquet hall stuck under a golf course middle class clubhouse. Inside it looks like a bunch of bar tables stuck into a lower level banquet hall stuck under a golf course middle class clubhouse. Except there is a a whole bunch of big TVs everywhere all on sports channels, and huge bar with taps everywhere, and an add on huge beer keg fridge crammed full of kegs. A great selection of craft draft beer at great prices. We had bar apps, they were great. The bartenders were friendly and knew what they were pouring. It looks like nothing from the outside, but inside it is a great beer destination. I think it has as many quality beer choices as any place in the D excepting Hopcat

My previous review of this place(about 2 year ago) gave 1 Under 5 stars. Although I am still a big fan and this place remains my go-to happy hour place, there are a few things that have bothered me. First, for the good… The food is excellent for a sports bar. The 70+ beers on tap is also amazing. I love being able to try something new every time I’m there(pretty much once a week). The service is almost always good, and the prices are reasonable. I love the atmosphere and I have had countless great times here with good friends. The Pizza and wings are both excellent. Now for the changes that bug me… They have consistently cut the size of the menu over the last 2 years. They have also moved a lot of items away from the appetizer list so they don’t qualify for the happy hour discount anymore. The happy hour discount also isn’t as good as it used to be. These aren’t deal-breakers, but they have kept me from ordering an appetizer when I’m here for happy hour. Fortunately, my favorites are still on the menu. I was also here for their New Years Eve party this year. It was a great time. It was $ 30 for access to both the bar(lower level) and the banquet hall(upper level) where they had a DJ. Also included were 7 drink tickets, a buffet, and party favors. It wasn’t as crowded as I was expecting it to be, but there were still enough people that it wasn’t uncomfortable. The buffet food was delicious and the drink options were good. The only unfortunate thing was that the tickets were only for domestic beer and wine. It was 3 tickets for a mixed drink, but they were with top shelf liquor. 1 Under is a great place. Definitely one of the best sports bars in the area. If you’re a beer fan, definitely check it out.

Great tap list but not a very inviting place to hang out. Run down and outdated inside. It’s better in the summer when you can sit outside.

THis is just a review of their banquet facilities. We had a wake here recently and the staff was very polite and courteous. Food was good, and the tables were bussed very frequently. I liked the bar in the room as well. The décor wasn’t anything special, but that’s not really a big deal for a wake I don’t think. Might be a bigger deal if it was a more festive occasion.

Pros: 1) great selection of craft beers. This isn’t as exciting now, with so many places having jumped on the craft beer band wagon; however, their list rarely includes items they’ve run out of 2) practically stumbling distance from our house 3) live music. We caught Square Pegs, an 80s cover band, this past Friday. $ 5 cover, cash only Cons: 1) they get busy. Busy! Crowd ranges from puffed up young loud DBs to golfers to 60yo ladies 2) we have yet to find a food item we crave enough to eat it again. 3) pricy. Their sampler paddle is $ 8 for you choose 4($ 2 per 5oz pour is not expensive, especially as they don’t exclude the higher ABV beers) but all other drinks are, to me, too pricy. A-OK

Great place for drinks. However, for food I will NOT be back. Our waitress was careless, my food was cold, and our food didn’t even come out on time! When I complained and asked for a manager I was told one was not available. A random girl came over with no introduction. I told her my problems and then proceeded to watch as 6 girls talk bad about me around the hostess station with no resolution. To top it all off there are dead bugs on the window sills and Not a SINGLE waitress had their hair pulled back. I grew more disgusted with every girl I saw chit chat while playing with their long locks and then proceed to serve people FOOD!!! Absolutely disgusting. WHEREISYOURMANAGEMENT??? Oh yeah that’s right. She said you were on a party bus.

Beers are skunked. Had a sample of 4 familiar beers and 2⁄4 were totally skunked. Sorry, this is for sure. Not debatable. Not going back!

This place used to be good now… not so much. Their menu is now smaller(I miss the nachos), my friend wanted to order pizza and laughed when the waitress said a plain cheese pizza was $ 10 lol. Service was okay, she checked on us but had zero personality or desire to be there it seemed. Also no prices listed next to any of the beers, thanks guys, very helpful. I gave it one star for a wide beer selection(although one of mine was also skunked like another reviewer said) &1 star just because it had a patio… which you can enjoy mediocre service on while drinking possibly skunked beer(go ahead and roll the dice) to wash down overpriced food from a small menu lol

1 Under has an excellent selection of craft beers and a fantastic happy hour: $ 3 beers after 9pm Monday — Friday. Beers that normally come in less than a pint(rare or high ABV) are $ 5 during happy hour. My friends and I have sat at the bar during our visits and gotten great service. The bartender has been really cool about letting us taste a sample of beer to see if we like it, too. On the food side, we’ve split a few things including their pretzel sticks and meat lover’s pizza. The pizza was excellent, where I’d skip the soft pretzels next time. if you like craft beer, you’ve definitely got to stop in here during happy hour. You’ll find brews from Founders, B. Nektar, Short’s, Wolverine, Alaskan, Dogfish Head, Jolly Pumpkin, Great Lakes, New Belgium and more. Whether I’d stop here outside of happy hour remains to be seen, but until that day, I’ll definitely keep rolling in after 9pm to take advantage of their friendly service and awesome prices.

So this place was recently brought to my attention by my wife(beer snob) who saw something online, we decided to try it. The beer selection is amazing, they are going for a big taproom and by golly they got it. I can’t think of anywhere within an hour’s drive of our home that can offer this varied of a tap list. Got the beef tip app, very nice. Could’ve trimmed a little more aggressively but still very good. Margherita pizza was also very good, nicely cooked. Look forward to returning for more of the menu.

Why was there a cover? Could I pay double cover to make the terrible country music stop playing? I’m still convinced that my salad dressing was made at least partially out of dirt. I’ll take the blame though – I did order a salad at a bar. On the bright side, the chicken on top of the salad was well seasoned.

1 Under is a well kept secret in the area. This place consistently delivers high quality food & service every time I go there. Recently, I was looking to get my «Fish & Chips» fix, and you can;t beat it at 1 Under. It’s one LARGE piece of flaky, perfect cod served with beer battered fries, creamy coleslaw, & a side salad that’s practically a meal in itself. Quantity alone does not impress me, but the quality of this meal is outstanding. Easily some of the best fish & chips I’ve ever had! I’ve also had several sandwiches, and their burgers are incredible(try the breakfast burger!)
