I have been seeing Dr. Peer for 30 years and will go to NO other Dr. He always listens to me and is very kind and respectful of my feelings. He goes the extra mile. He isn’t one of these Dr’s that treat you like a number and then sends you on your way in 5 minutes. He spends time with each patient unlike any other Dr. I have ever been to. Is very thorough and answers all of my ‘dumb’ questions. I have recommended him to others and will continue to do so. If you are looking for an Internest and great Dr., look no further.

Dr. Peer is condescending and rude. He takes little time with his patients and seems not to care about their welfare. I know several people that go to him and are always scared he’s going to scold them or make them feel guilty. He was substituting for another dr, and miss-prescribed medicine that sent my completely healthy, lucid relative(we’ll call him Robert) into a month long violent psychosis. Robert’s main doctor saw right away that medicine should be stopped, and thankfully after some time, my relative regained his senses. It was a terrible, frightening time for everyone.

This is based upon a visit my husband(the handsome man) several years ago. Yet, I feel it is important to write this review and possibly save others from a similar experience. My husband has a extremely high tolerance for pain. So, when he says he is in pain, he means it. When he states he’s willing to see a doctor, that means something is definitely wrong. And I get frightened because he doesn’t care for doctors. Can’t blame him; we’ve had more than our share of doozey doctors. A friend of ours recommended Dr. Peer and my husband scheduled an appointment with him. I went along as it is helpful to have an extra set of ears during doctor appointments. My husband explained his pain and that his urine was a brownish/red color. He and I both told the doctor we felt a urine test should be done, yet the doctor disagreed. We had to ask this man and a nurse three times to perform a simple urine test. The third time, we had to be not-so-friendly and were very firm about having the simple urine test done. No surprise to us, the urine test showed there was indeed a problem. My husband then went to a different doctor. A a kidney stone was diagnosed and treated by the competent doctor via surgery. Neither my husband nor I returned to Peer’s office nor would we recommend him. Think about it, a patient has urinary problems and extreme pain yet a doctor doesn’t want to do a urine test? Yikes.

Been my doctor since I stopped seeing a pediatrician. I drive down from Walnut Creek to see him, my dad drives down from Reno. He’s a great doctor and isn’t into just solving your problem by throwing what ever popular medication that’s out there.
