Every time I come to this location. The sales people are VERY helpful and VERY friendly. I like to support my local hobby stores and the people here make that an easy decision every time. Thanks for everything! Steve C. Customer Number 10047

Fun place to shop. I am very impressed with this store. Staff is awesome and very helpful. Got any questions they are very helpful which is important when getting into these hobbies. They also have an outdoor offroad track for r/c cars thats getting completely redone for next season. Excited for that! Customer #3124

I used to love this place but recently the staff has been unhelpful and almost rude. There is one employee who I absolutely love but unless he is there it’s not worth my time. I’d recommend finding another store if you want friendlier service with a less condescending attitude

Good inventory but terrible staff! It took all 3 of them to help one gentleman out for 45 min while the rest of us just waited. Came back the next day with a faulty RC battery, the staff have no knowledge of what to do with it. They fumbled with the battery until the manager came by and showed them what to do. I’m not a fan of this place.

Nice shop and very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Wide array of selections to choose from. Only complaint is they share a mutual wall with a cigar shop. I visited on a Sunday recently and the place smelled terrible. My wife, who has asthma, nearly went into lockdown mode. She had to leave and spent the next 60 minutes hacking and coughing. I returned during a weekday and it was much improved, but exposure to secondhand smoke is just not my thing. I started going to HobbyTown(Univ/Arap) as the staff is just as friendly and the health risk is much lower.

I am going to start with the positives about this place, and there certainly are many. They have an amazing selection of cars, boats, planes and parts and they have an awesome track for rc racing. Their prices were high on most items, but they were willing to come down on most things. That makes this place very appealing to the rc die-hards! So, here is my experience at this shop I recently purchased a birthday gift for my son from this shop… a $ 1000 gas powered rc car($ 1300 after batteries and accessories). Within the first day, it wouldn’t run. The throttle servo was defective. I returned to the shop(an hour drive each way) an was informed I could sell it under consignment, but I can’t exchange it. I have had 3 parts brake on this bad boy already, and my son has literally only driven on the street out front for a total of 15 minutes. No crashes, no nothing. When I purchased it, it was on the shelf, and they said they have no others in the boxes, but assured it had never been dropped or abused. I am somehow doubting that now. My biggest beef with this place is the group of cocky teenage employees that seem to run this place, with the occasional adult that strolls by. When my husband brought it in for a broken cvd joint(that we DIDNOT break, as we hadn’t driven it since the day before when we had it at the shop and they had to put in a temporary servo until the new one came in), he was told that this would probably be the last warranty item they would cover. Boy am I glad it was my husband who he told that to, as he is more mild-mannered than I am. Guess what ALLWARRANTYITEMSWILLBECOVERED, whether the repair punk thinks it should be or not. It is a warranty through LOSI, not through the teenage snot mechanic. I do have to say that the General Manager tried to be as helpful as she was allowed, but the teenagers would not listen to when she told them to get on my car. It turned into a 4.5 hour visit to the shop because the teenage employees were too busy running in and out of the store to play with some professional rc helicopter. The GM remained so polite and professional, and I feel that the teenagers were disrespectful and demeaning to her. I hope the owners read this as the teenagers need to be reigned in. Even though they may be expert rc mechanics, they are in-fact teenagers, and talking condescendingly to adults who are there making large dollar purchases, will not help the business in the long run. There are plenty of rc hobby stores in Denver, and after I get the servo issue ironed out(by the way, I was told that they would call me when it came in Tuesday, well it’s now Friday and I had to call and find out if it was in, and it was), I will be finding another venue to support the parts replacement.

Beware of their return policy: Store Credit Only even for un-opened packaging that was purchase a week ago. Small business or not, pretty unreasonable to have this policy these days.

I like a small business with a name that describes what that business does. RC Hobbies sells Radio Controlled cars, trucks, planes and helis. They have a very narrow focus and that is a very good thing. RC Hobbies offers customers use of both their supercross style race track(1⁄8 scale) and an awesome rock crawling course. Use of these tracks is free so long as there is not an event or practice scheduled. The customer service is kind of hit or miss. It depends on who helps you. One gruffer fellah there always makes mne feel like I am bothering him. Otherwise folks are cool. I have been a bit surprised sometimes when they have not had common Traxxas parts in stock when I have needed them but they have always been happy to special order. Colpar on Wads seems to stock better. All and all I am glad RC Hobbies is there to feed my RC addiction.
