Create your own gyros, a la chipotle style, ok interesting. But the gryo was flavorless, nothing special just plain and insignificant. I was really disappointed because this place was close by and thought I could get my Greek/med food fix here, sadly this is not the case. This seems like fast food with a twist, where you can create your own Mediterranean dish from a line of ingredients. Not for me I guess.

My favorite Garbanzo location. I eat here at least twice weekly. The staff are always friendly and the food always fresh. They keep the dining area clean too. Most of the time, they offer a free sample of falafel. If not, just ask for it. You can also ask for extra of anything sides that you like. I typically get the plate or salad, depending on my mood. My protein is chicken, which is excellent. You can also have them throw a few falafel on the side as a little treat. Here are a couple of tips. First, join the club and get a free meal after 12(yes, not as good as other frequent flyer clubs, but better than nothing). Also, always do the survey at the bottom of the ticket then write down the code. This will get you a free drink or appetizer your next trip in. Final thing, keep an eye out for specials — often they offer an upgrade for a dollar(meal plus drink, then add an appetizer for a buck, etc.). Highly recommended.

I ordered the traditional gyro with the lamb and beef. It was sooooo good! I also had a side of falafel and the baklava… everything was great! The tzatziki sauce was especially good!!! This was my first time there, and the staff was super helpful! I will definitely be going back and next time I’m going to b getting the steak kabob… yay!

For what it is, a quick casual gyro restaurant, it’s quite good. I had a chicken kabob plate which was really good.

So I usually love this place and have recommended it to many. I had an off putting experience the other day when I walked in at 10:59 after I realized what time it was(the door was open). I apologized immediately and told them I was in no rush and to take their time if they were finishing getting ready. The two young girls were super nice and willing to serve me. The older women with short hair(seemed like the manager on duty) shot me a dirty look and mumbled under her breath. The young girl asked her, «isn’t it 11 already?» She replied ‚“no it’s a few minutes before” which it wasn’t but it was pretty rude to act upset especially since I explained I just realized it was opening and they could take their time. Kudos to the younger girls, and helping me out efficiently. Don’t open your door if you don’t want customers. Otherwise everyone is usually very nice and food is tasty.

I actually LOVE this restaurant, and I hope they read this review. It’s 6:45 in a Friday night and I just went to pick up take out and they are completely out of the veggie salad AND the pitas. Everything is made from scratch, and even though they were running low, no one had started making either of these and there was going to be an indefinite wait if you wanted either of these two things. The two things that are the basis of their food. This is the third time I have been in during the dinner hour and they are unable to serve their customers the food they want. Two of us ended up walking out, and I’m sure more did after me. This is a ridiculous way to handle a business if you want to stay in business. I am now at modmarket for my dinner. Get a clue Garbanzo’s

So Americanized the staff is unable to interpret orders from people who eat at real Mediterranean restaurants. Only one staffer understood my order and the others just ignored him. Eventually had to drop it and just accept my botched meal. Do we really need more«have it your way»(insert cuisine here) restaurants? If you want real Greek/Mediterranean, spare yourself the aneurysm. Probably a good pick for someone unaware they aren’t in a Chipotle.

Garbanzos food it’s simple has great flavors different flavors and thieir service is usually pretty good I find the place pretty clean and employees very friendly and willing to help convenient place to stop for a quick lunch or quickly early dinner the menu is a little difficult to follow and you probably have to eat there a few times before so you know what food is your favorite!

Stopped by with my wife and some friends with the intent of purchasing their steak kabob platter, my favorite item from the menu. As I was ordering it one of the cooks(to whom I wasn’t even talking to) rather rudely informed me that he would have to make them from scratch and it would take 20 minutes. Disappointed, I ordered the gyro instead. The manager on duty stepped in and comped the gyro, and apologized for not having the kabobs available which I thought was a classy move hence the 4 stars. The issue I have is that this is not the first time I was«strongly dissuaded» from ordering the kabobs by employees that didn’t want to deal with the trouble of making them. I understand the kabobs may take longer to prepare, but if you are going to have them on your menu(and featured in many graphics printed through out the menu) these should be a regular item that should be available to be ordered.

This is a little longer drive from work for lunch but it is totally worth it. The plate is such a great deal for all the food you get. Garbanzo is truly a vegan/GF dream! The falafels are fresh and delicious every time and you get a free one to enjoy while you choose the rest of your meal. For a fast, healthy, delicious lunch you cannot go wrong at Garbanzo. Added bonus if you are gluten free you can substitute their delicious chips for the pita.

So… I have discovered SHAWARMA!!! OMG I love eating here! Chicken Falarma with rice, tabouleh and falafel wrapped in a pita. ORALGASM! Words cannot describe the rapture of ecstasy as I eat. Just watch the last scene after the end credits of The Avengers for further explanation. «Have you ever tried shawarma? There’s a shawarma joint about two blocks from here. I don’t know what it is, but I want to try it.» Tony Stark is right.

I used to like Garbanzo’s much, much more than I do now. It is a unique concept, and a healthier way to eat than most of the other fast food type places in the area. However, I take serious issue with the pricing. I don’t eat red meat and it is rare that I even eat chicken. So, they have a portobello mushroom option. The problem with that? They charge just as much for that as they do the steak, which used to be the priciest option. I mean, seriously? It’s mushrooms, man. I buy portobello caps all the time to make at home, and I know that they aren’t as expensive as steak. Over $ 7 for the portobello plate here. I don’t get it, and honestly, it’s enough to keep me away. Lower the price of the portobello. There is no instant need to price a vegetarian option as high as the steak, just because you can. Maybe some people will be fooled into thinking, «Hey, maybe those are just some expensive, gourmet mushrooms!», but a lot of us know better.

So… How have I not discovered this place until recently? They bake their Pita fresh. FRESH. Fo’Reals. And since I’m a total slut for Falafel, Shwarma, Tsatsiki, Hummus, and any pickled vegetable you hurl in my general direction, I think it’s safe to say that Garbanzo’s will be getting a pretty nice chunk of my paycheck for lunch. Pickled, mildly spicy eggplant. Baba Ganoush. Grilled Chicken. Falafel. Cilantro Sauce. Garlic-Parsley Tahini. Tabouleh. Yes. Please. All of it. The only thing keeping this location from being 5 Stars is the lack of organization… There was a line out the door, and even a sign reading«THISLINEMOVESFAST!!» as if they knew people would be put off by the line. Then they forgot to put the Chicken in one of our Pitas. We got a pita filled with Lettuce and Ranch Dressing. Kinda a big OOPS there. They have an Iced Tea container for Black tea, but it’s just pushed aside because they don’t brew it anymore. Just seemed very amateurish and poorly run. The food, however, was still stellar and relatively healthy. Hooray for somewhat reasonably priced, quasi-fast food.
