Okay I am going to tell you what I wish I would’ve known before driving here. First off this place is next to a sport bar that reeks of smoke. It smells like smoke in the place and just doesn’t seem the cleanest. The water is disgusting. We came here for the playground but the playground is right next to the bar with no way to get there from the restaurant. This place says its«family friendly»… It’s connected to a bar. The margaritas are a joke. Served in a beer glass and tastes so gross and cheap. I’ve had my share of Margs and this is a joke. The chips were Tostitos. I swear to God they were Tostitos, I buy them all the time and they were Tostitos. The queso was velveeta with NO peppers in the cheese. Our server was nice enough but that won’t save this sad excuse for a Mexican restaurant.

Sloppy nachos were AWESOME! My son said fajita tacos were great. Good service, very clean…

We thought the food, the service, and the prices were good. The margarita had that artificial lime flavor – the one that doesn’t taste like lime and was served in a beer glass. I would expect a restaurant with the name«Margarita’s» to make a decent margarita.

Just returned from dining at Margaritas for the second time in 6 years. the chips and salsa were okay. I had the Pollo Enrollado which was served after my husband was finished with his stuffed shrimp. It tasted like it had been microwaved instead of sauted and the thick gravy on it had no flavor. It was served with barracho beans and plain white rice… never have I had white rice in a Mexican restaurant! The stuffed shrimp appeared to have been deep fried instead of grilled and was overcooked. The wait staff was there but aloof.. t. …. . There are too many really good Mexican Restaurants in the area to waste your time and money at a place like this!

The spinach enchiladas have to be some of the best in Central Texas. Drizzle salsa verde and mexican white cheese on top, add some flavored rice and a side of baracho beans and enjoy.

Looks nice from the outside, but the food and service is horrible. Our Mexican martinis tasted like margarita mix juice. We asked for queso and never got it. We asked for different drinks and never got them until I waved the girl down who was just leaning on the wall watching everyone. Never will go here again. Looks like a total run down café place in the inside. Upgrade your tables and chairs!

We went to this place 10 years ago it was bad back then. Food was bad and service was worse. Went back today to give them a second chance. I should have cooked at home. The food was worse if that is possible and the service was wvem worse. We walked in and there was food all over the floor and most of our time spent at the restaurant was just waiting on service. We will never go back and I will tell any who asks not to go.

The flautas were exceptional. My wife got the Jalapeño Chicken Enchiladas and they were spicy without killing the flavor. We both enjoyed their margaritas and overall had a great meal!

Just ate here and it was so horrible that my stomach is cramping. Got the flautas to be safe as I was immediately taken aback by the stench of cigarette smoke and noted that the restaurant seemed makeshift with recycled booths and signs. I don’t know if my chicken was supposed to be creamy, had cheese in it or was just plain rotten but in any event I couldn’t eat it. Disgusting. No toilet paper, soap or paper towels in the bathroom, poor quality meat in the fajitas and I make better margaritas with mix at home. The waitress didn’t take note that we barely touched our disgusting food and happily handed us a $ 65 check. This place needs to decide if they are a bar or a restaurant. Do people smoke in here after the restaurant closes? It feel dirty, food is horrible and the owner takes no pride in having a quality establishment. I got to pay $ 65 for something that should have been $ 35. Will never be back. I’d suggest you avoid this place as well. On the bright side, my husband says the salsa was pretty good. I thought it tasted like typical blender salsa.

Not a great experience for atmosphere, food, or service. We won’t be dining here again.

We love Margarita’s it is now our go-to Mexican place. The atmosphere is nice and the staff and owners are very friendly and always walking around greeting the customers and talking to the kids. The food here is good. I like that some of their dishes have a white rice side, not sure what’s in it but it’s good. I like the enchiladas and the chili relleno and sometimes they have the stuffed avacado as a special. It’s great too. My grandson gets the chicken tenders. you can tell they are homemade and not frozen. They are so good that my husband usually finishes them for him… The margarita’s are good too. We have taken lots of friends and family here for dinner, so affordable.

Great, personable, time efficient wait staff! Fantastic tex mex! We wish the food would have lasted long enough to take a picture!

Tried Margarita’s for the the first time today. I really really wanted to like it. I’ve been craving some really good Tex-Mex food. Unfortunately this wasn’t even average. Gary and I both had the tortilla soup and taco combo lunch special. Hard to mess that one up. The soup was ok, the taco greasy and dry with all the stuffings on the side and cheese tostada was. I will say the service was good and the waitstaff friendly. But even that couldn’t help this place. Next time I’ll have to pass this one by and continue my hunt for my next mexican food fix!

The Pollo Elrollado is to die for. The queso delight is so good. The owner is always friendly and polite. I would recommend this place to all my friends and family.

Dinner at Margaritas!!! Good things. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Pollo Enrollado! Don’t miss it. Their carne guisada reminds me of down home carne guisada. Down home is San Antonio so I’ve been around a plate of carne guisada or two in my life. I highly recommend this little gem. Amin is a great and gracious owner/operator and makes everyone feel welcome. It’s a great little hole in the wall. Check it out.

I judge a Mexican restaurant on it’s green chile sauce. My chicken green chile enchiladas tasted so authentic. The flautas looked good too that my husband ordered. I was just not a fan of their rice but the chips and salsa was very very good. 4 stars. I would not classify as tex-mex it’s more authentic.

We come here quite often because its hardly ever crowded & the service is great. Salsa & queso are yummy. A couple times our taco salad was bad & fajitas charred. But overall, the food is ok. Kids love the playground & the place is clean! Margaritas are really good too!!! Cute bar!

I so badly want to like this place. It’s close, has nice outdoor spot for kids, etc. So after a meh experience a few years back(which my main take away was arguing about a kids eat free deal, and what constituted an adult drink) we decided to give it another shot. Sunday afternoon, between lunch and dinner rush, we walk in and see one other family, and 3 unbussed tables. Never good. I ask the very kind waitress for her recommendation, and I went with it.(«Crazy» burrito). Came out wrong twice. Wife’s chicken was perfectly grilled, but not trimmed well(fat and gristle) and lacked seasoning. Staff was very courteous and when I mentioned it they discounted my meal. But so much potential unutilized makes me very sad. Please please please be the neighborhood bar and restaurant you could be!

This place makes me think of my early days of dating my hubby. 2000 time frame. It’s been in LH so long! It’s a large place. Easy parking. Always clean. Amin has been there forever & he’s always there greeting customers & making them feel at home. Literally! The menu has lots if options. My daughter loves the fajita steak on the kids menu. Lots of kids choices too! The stuffed avocado daily special we had was fantastic! It was beautiful and tasty! Most places will only serve stuffed avocado with ½ the avocado– they gave both halves! So good! Also– a playground for the kids!!!

Horrible Horrible Horrible! Gross food that looked and tasted like leftover heated up. Our waitress kept taking smoke breaks while about 3 – 4 different thug boys kept stopping at our table asking us if we were ok. My husband would not touch his food. I tried one of my quesadillas and couldn’t do it either. Grease leaked down my chin. It was soggy and floppy. The owner was in there drinking with some guests. This place has gone so downhill. It’s sad. It’s a great location. I just spoke to my mother and mentioned we ate there. Her response«WHAT??? WHY??» Apparently the word is out about their horrible service and food but I didn’t get the memo!
