Went off the beaten track to use a Groupon. Probably will not be back. First, we are used to being greeted and shown a table. It is seat yourself, which we finally figured out, after standing awkwardly at the door for a minute, being ignored. Once we sat down, the waitress greeted us and was friendly and good. the wings were excellent although they are very limited on the variety of sauce offered. The atmosphere is very divey and noisy and kids were running all over the place. Room of pool tables open to the dining area. I don’t mind dives, but this one went over the line a bit.

Good was decent but. i had to send my food back because my burger was raw. The waitress came back to our table afterward and claimed she saw nothing wrong with the burger and asked if it was the onions(which i picked off). I strongly dislike that she implied i lied.

Can’t beat the wings! I love their wings and wing chips. We ordered take out for New Years last night. They always give enough sauce! This was the first time I ordered take out and probably the last. Once I arrived(after I called in the order and they told me what time to be there), I had to wait an extra 20 minutes. They couldn’t find my order, kept questioning me about what name I put it under and I believe they gave part of it to the lady in front of me.

I ordered their desert heat dry rub wings which were good. I enjoyed their wing chips too. Nachos could have been heated up to melt the cheese, but overall the food was fresh and tasty. Tia was our waitress and she was great. She was very attentive and made good recommendations. Wings N Ale has food good at great prices in a casual atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

Great place for good wings and drinks! Bar/pool outing. No issues, waitress was attentive on a Sunday afternoon. I used a Groupon, good deal. Hubby and I will return for more… Alot of food for the price, which is a plus.

So, when you go to a place called Wings and Ale, you should be able to guess they’re a sports bar. I’d surely hope so. They are that. With TVs and beer tanks and pool tables. They do the thing well, too. I loved the buffalo blue burger I had with piping hot steak fries and delicious crisp celery. My friends had wings and I wanted to steal them. It’s dim and hazy and has quick nice service and was fun. People were having a good time on a Saturday night. And also when you go to a sports bar, you don’t expect to see a bunch of suits and fancy dresses. You won’t here either, and it’ll be comfortable folks having a solid divey greasy spoon meal. They’re tucked away and just right for when you need heart attack food amongst lively like minded folk.

Love this place! Since coming under new ownership it has really, really turned around. The crowd is much better and the service, although still lacking in some areas, has drastically improved. We enjoy coming here on Friday nights for good food and a fun, lively atmosphere. The wings are great; the hot has the perfect amount of heat. We order the mozzarella sticks every time, they are always piping hot and gooey, however the marinara comes in a pre-packaged tub, I do wish they’d make it fresh! We’ve also tried the fried fish, shrimp and hush puppy platter which both my husband and I enjoyed. Friday nights they also have live music and he is fantastic, he plays cover songs of all of our favorite country songs. There are 3 – 4 pool tables as well and a few arcade machines. The staff is almost all new, so yes we’ve had a few issues but like I said, it’s really turned around and with time I think Jack will smooth out all of the kinks! It definitely has a divey, hometown, country feel… but that is one of its best characteristics, in my opinion. How can you not love a place where the owner greets you with a huge smile and a hug?! We will definitely be back, again and again and again!

Ok, let me start with the good parts. Hooray! They are open on Sundays now! Ok, done. Yep, thats pretty much it. My boyfriend and I used to take our kids here for dinner quite often because the food was decent, the service was good, and the prices were reasonable. We have 3 teenage boys so the prices were definitely our favorite part. All of that has changed! We went to Wings & Ale Lexington for dinner last night, just the two of us and we were very disappointed. Apparently they have changed ownership and whoever is making the decisions has decided to keep the dirty dive bar atmosphere, while increasing the prices to match those of their cleaner, nicer competitors. In some ways they have made it even worse! At least the previous owners served their food on actual plates, now everything is thrown in a paper basket with some plaid parchment paper lining it. We both ordered teriaki wings which used to be flavorful and crispy. The wings we recieved were small, soggy and almost completely lacking sauce. The only ones that had any sauce on them were the ones from the bottom of the basket where the little bit of sauce that the wings had been tossed in had pooled. Our fries were soggy, too. My boyfriend was drinking beer and was asked several times if he would like another. I on the other hand was drinking soda and my glass sat empty for quite some time. The waitress stopped by our table 3 times while my glass was empty and never asked if I would like a refill. As I said before, we used to bring our kids here for dinner because we could order 50 wings, two baskets of wing chips, a basket of fries, a basket of celery, 4 soda’s and two beers and normally it would cost about $ 55. Last night we had 24 wings, one basket of wing chips, one basket of fries, one basket of celery, three small cups of ranch, one diet coke, and two bud lights and our bill was almost $ 40. They even charged us for the ranch which had never happened under the old ownership. It’s very sad to see this happen to one of our favorite places. My boyfriend grew up in Lexington and has been going to Wings and Ale since he was in high school over 20 years ago, but I honestly don’t think we will be going back anytime soon, unless of course some changes are made.

Really good wings, however I tried to order a to go order more than an hour before their listed(on both their facebook page and website) closing times and was told they were already closed. This has happened on more than one occasion so I think I will be taking my business somewhere that follows their posted operating hours. Just bad customer service to set operating hours and then not follow them with absolutely no notice.

Food has declined. Seems wings and chips get over cooked. Too long to get a beverage after keg change. Got wrong wings, bill was incorrect, took forever to correct, didn’t use coupon and ran debit card, told me the incorrect charge would be pending for 2 days. When we told manager all the errors his response was«you should’ve told me earlier and I’d bought you a drink«oh well, think we’ll just let it go. Last burger I got for take out was bloody and awful.

Totally agree with the previous reviewer about non drinking customers. Have to say that growing up in Lexington this place seemed to get shadier by the year. I have not been in awhile, but the wings while good were definitely nothing special. The service there pretty much always sucked. Getting takeout was about the best option. I don’t think i’d recommend this place to anyone.

Best wings, hands down, no contest. Karaōke on Sundays. Trivia on Wednesdays. Check out for more info.
