Any place that has beer in its name is always going to be high on my list of places to visit. They carry tons of beers in the bottle, lots of beers on tap, and even some small batch beers on tap. For the non beer lovers, they have wines and mixed drinks as well. They also offer adult beer floats from time to time. Very impressive. Lexington Beerworks also has foods and snacks to partake in while enjoying your drinks. Along with all the great food and drinks they sale here, they also sell home brew and wine making supplies. Kind of a one stop shop if you will. If that isn’t enough for your, this place also offers home brew and wine making classes. How awsome is that? I think I want to sign up for one of these classes for sure. You should too.

Cool small place with 12 strong taps and numerous cans/bottles. Good service. Pizza is the main fare, but caprese and charcuterie appear on the menu.

I stopped in here yesterday on an afternoon trip to the city. This place is an interesting trifecta of craft brew house, quality pub grub, and home brew supply store all in one spot. We walked in on a Sunday afternoon and they had a beginner beer making class going on outside on the patio as well as the game on tv at the bar. We had brought our toddler with us(not REALLY a kid place but they frown upon leaving small children outside soo…) and they were friendly — she was a big fan of the three-cheese artisan pizza. It was a quiet afternoon so it worked out although I wouldn’t bring kids during a more packed time. They have a strong beer selection including that harder to find sours, and Midwest regional breweries(although a surprising lack of KY breweries??) were decently represented. As you walk upstairs there are what appear to be private dining room space(a party here would be fun!) and a small yet mighty beer/wine home brew supply shop with some nice post-holiday deals going on. Its not well advertised down in the bar area but once we asked about it we were able to walk right up and shop. Why the 4 stars? This jack of all trades dabbles in all three areas but doesn’t run deep in any. Not a serious knock, it’s their business model. A fun time will be had by all without doubt but if you are serious about any of the three(and who isn’t serious about pub grub??!) you can find a better selection separately elsewhere in the Lexington area.

Stopped in for the first and last time. My wife and I sat on the patio for 15 minutes and never saw a server. We decided that maybe. we would be able to get a beer if we went inside to the bar. We were wrong. There were only a few customers at the bar but we had to flag down someone to take our order. I didn’t know it would be such an inconvenience to ask questions about all the beers that we we not familiar with. I have never been to a place that gave me the impression that we were an inconvenience until now . After posting my review the owner(MIke) contacted me to follow up. I was very pleased to hear from the owner and consider the situation resolved.

Big beer selection and they’re really awesome with helping you start up your own brewing at home with classes and all the supplies you need. I haven’t been back for a while and they have made some updates so I’ll be checking it out again sometime but since last I went it just had decent bottle selection.

A nice little place with good food and knowledgeable staff. There are board games to encourage you to linger and enjoy some drinks. The waitress knew her beers and made great recommendations. There was a rush as a big crowd came in, and she handled the situation well. The only downside was the homebrew shop was closed. We would have loved to have browsed the shop.

Me and The Squad rolled up looking to get sorted out with some of that top-shelf turn-up and Beerworks delivered the goods baby! I got hooked up with that good cheese pizza and my old lady got one of those good veggie pizzas baby! Two other Squad members got sorted out with some of those soft pretzels and beer cheese and we all had a couple pints of that turn-up fam. We were all like YESS baby. The Squad will definitely be back soon!

Stopped in for a couple of drinks. There are many beers on tap, and also a variety of mixed drinks you can choose. They do serve a few food items, but we just drank this time. The bartenders are fast to wait on customers, and very knowledgeable about the brews on tap. The tables inside provide good seating, and there is a covered patio area too. There is a shelf with a large number of board games to play. Bring some friends and spend an evening playing board games and drinking! You’d be hard-pressed to find a better way to hang out with friends.

Nice place, friendly staff. I was hoping for more local taps, or at least something a little different from what I find back in D.C.(which I do realize isn’t that far away). Great bottle choices, though! We only had the nachos, but they were quite tasty. Really liked the outdoor seating areas.

Great, cheery, prompt service. A bit of a loud atmosphere inside but the outdoor seating/patio perfectly fit our more laid back mood. Ten or so draft beers on the rotating list plus a wide variety of bottled drinks. Margarita pizza and veggie nachos were both phenomenal. Great for a nicer drink indoors or more relaxed outdoors. Wish we could have sat on the upper patio but it was reserved for a party. The waitress was so sweet and there was lower level outdoor seating available so the slight disappointment was quickly overlooked when they aced every other category. Great taste of Lexington!

The food selection wasn’t big but it’s a beer place, so that’s fine. My panini was quite good. The first few beers I asked for were out, so that was a bummer. The guy behind the bar wasn’t super on it and the place wasn’t that busy. I was in the middle of ordering when a bunch of girls took his attention and I got blown off for a bit. If you’re a beer enthusiast you may enjoy this place but it’s nothing you couldn’t find in most big bars now a days. Place was nice, couple tables out front and I heard they had a Patio upstairs. Worth checking out to see if it’s your sorta place but for me… Mehhh

I used to be an enormous fan and patron of Beerworks but something has happened to management lately that has really caused the establishment to suffer greatly. As stated previously by other annoyed patrons, the service is deplorable. Good luck getting served, I’ve stood at the bar with a fistful of cash to be ignored. The selection isn’t too bad but they are rookies when it comes to stocking for the the three times I went in lately to get the newly added Fat Tire it was never cold because they don’t know how to pull beer. It is the old Limestone Club and beautiful inside with fantastic patio seating and average food, nachos aren’t too bad for chips under a salamander that are burnt every time. When they first opened it was great, beer is 10x better than 6th street which is flat swill. Too bad they don’t know how to stock it for the day.

I’ve been coming here for a few years for their home brew supplies, and maybe having a beer while I shop. For a brew store, they are well stocked and knowledgeable. As a bar, they have a constantly rotating selection of a wide variety of styles to choose from; I’ve always found something that interests me. I’ve discovered several great beers here thanks to the way they rotate their selection. The patio is nice, so is the bar. Probably one of the nicer bars in Lexington. It’s a great place to meet with friends. I haven’t had much food here but what I have had has been exceptional, and everything else I’ve seen looks great. I have never seen it crowded, or even half full. Maybe I’m going at the slow times, but that does make for a nice relaxing place to sip on a good beer.

For the beer lover in you! This is a fairly new and growing business in Lexington! The owners are involved and onsite often! They have taken a hobby and turned it into a place we can all enjoy! The bar is beautifully hand crafted and they have two levels of patios for those warm summer nights !! Stop by to try an excellent selection of seasonal, local, and top quality beers! You will be hard pressed to Not find a beer you love! They introduce different beers on tap regularly so you will never be bored and can always try something unique! They also have a full bar for anyone that prefers other beverages! Beerworks recently added a kitchen, so when all that drinking leads to the munchies you can choose from a variety of delicious fare.

We stopped by on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Service was good. The bartender let us know we could have a seat and order and didn’t have to wait at the bar. They had a nice selection of craft beers on tap. I tried one called Sliced Nectarine. A friend of mine had the Evil Twin. The atmosphere was clean and comfortable with dark wood tables and classic lighting. It’s a nice place to go for a drink if you’re in the area.

The first thing I notice is this place has a great atmosphere! Along with high quality small batch craft beers on tap. They also have a plethora of beers in bottles. I never made it to the food but I for sure want to go back.

The two stars are for the presentation only, as it was a nice bar on the inside. Six of us came in on a Saturday night. The place wasn’t crowded, so the girl working told us we could push together a couple tables. We sat there for about 5 minutes and no one looked our way. One of us walked to the bar to ask for a menu. We read the menu, waited another 5 – 10 minutes and neither the girl who saw us sit down, nor anyone else even thought about approaching our table. We got up and left and nobody said a word to us on the way out. Maybe it’s not that kinda place? Maybe it’s not a waiter/waitress kinda deal. If so, that’s on me I guess. But I just figured if a group of six people walk in ready to eat a lot of pizza and drink a lot of beer, maybe you help them out a little with the protocol. As it was, we went somewhere else and spent our money. Bummer.

We had a large group of 20. I called to make a reservation to give a heads up and they were accommodating. They ended up reserving the upstairs room for us but when we got there we went up and decided to stay downstairs. The room is tiny tiny and you couldn’t hear the music. Also across the hall from the room is an office and it was unappealing. It wasn’t busy so we sat downstairs where the atmosphere was way better! The food was great! Everyone we were with enjoyed their pizzas!
