Okay, I LOVE this place! My husband and I went for the first time last night and it was so enjoyable! Totally not what I was expecting… in a good way: P Honestly, the food isn’t stellar in my opinion but the ambiance is totally worth it. I got the grilled chicken sandwich with a wedge salad. The wedge salad was actually incredible. They grilled it and it had an amazing flavor. The chicken, though, was kind of dry and lacked in flavor. We got the beer cheese appetizer which was probably some of the best beer cheese I’ve ever had in my entire life. I will get that every time I go to Grey Goose! They have the coolest back patio with relaxing music and shaded trees. They are pet friendly and when we brought our dog they came out with ice water for her! Definitely loved that! One of the biggest turn offs for me at this place that I need to mention is that they must allow people to smoke on the back patio because there was a lady smoking. I was really disappointed in this and it kind of ruined my food. I wish they didn’t allow smoking… All in all, Grey Goose is awesome! I will be back in the very near future! :)

The pizza which is supposed to be the trademark of this restaurant was absolutely horrific! They had absolutely no sauce on the pizza, and I pointed it out to the server; his response was, oh there isn’t! Didn’t offer to make another one, clearly noticing that there was no sauce and that we didn’t eat it! We didn’t eat the pizza, and no we don’t want desert or a carry out box to take what u call a pizza home! I believe I won’t return again for dinner, and or lunch!

I have become a HUGE fan of this place. This was my third trip to the Goose and it was impressive yet again. I am prepared to to call it… Best wings in Lexington. Many restaurants in Lexington make this claim but in my opinion they own it! We ordered the hot brown pizza and it was really good as well. The cocktails are made with very generous pours. The service has been exceptional and very accommodating even for large groups. We are fans and the Goose is at the top of our list.

Took a trip down to Lexington for my SIL’s birthday. We meet her and her wife at Grey Goose because it was a fantastic Sunday and from what we were told, the patio is the place to be. The patio is large — partly covered and the other part is outside with trees providing shade with lights all around the patio. It was magical and lovely. The menu has some of the usual suspects: salads, sandwiches and pizzas. However, there were also things that were unusual that I loved and had to try. We started with the deep fried broccoli and cheddar bites with ranch dressing. This is not listed on the menu online, but I highly suggest getting it. It is different than common appetizers. I loved it. There were plenty in a portion to share with 2 – 4 people. The bites were not overly fried in batter, and the cheese with broccoli was delightful. We decided to share a salad and a pizza. I mean, I am in a different town, so I HAVE to try some pizza. I ended up ordering the Hot Brown Pizza. It was a surprising combination and something that struck my interest. The salad was good: your typical garden salad. That Hot Brown Pizza was something else though. The crust was thin, and you could tell was hand tossed. While a Hot Brown can be extremely rich sometimes, this pizza was a good combination of a Kentucky favorite and pizza. It was not too rich or cheesy. There was a perfect ratio of turkey to bacon. I highly recommend coming to the Grey Goose. The patio was great. The only reason I did not give this place 5 stars was the service was a little lackluster. It was difficult to figure out how to be seated(we had to ask) and we had to ask for our drinks to be refilled. Otherwise, the food was tasty and different.

Hands-down this is one of our absolute favorite pizza places in all of Lexington. We have been here numerous times and have never been disappointed with the food or the service. We had a pizza appetizer and few drinks on Saturday night before our show at Rupp arena. We then decided to return for a nightcap afterwards. same great bartender and service. I highly recommend anybody that’s looking for a good local pizza place stop here you will not regret it.

Despite the wonderful patio, we were disappointed this time. We have been to grey goose on several occasions, this time was different. Our appetizer plates were covered in old food, my beer glass had lipstick on it, and the food did not seem prepared fresh. Sorry to say, we won’t be back. Glad there are other great options in Lexington.

Food was great, I had a salad and the flavors were well balanced and the presentation was beautiful. The service leaves something to be desired, but it is worth being forgotten to sit on the lovely patio.

The pizza is probably their specialty, and they are delicious, but my favorite thing they offer is the black bean burger. I eat it without the bun and just a tomato on top. It’s awesome. The crinkle fries that come with it are great too.

Went to the Grey Goose for the first time last month. My husband and I had tried their hot brown pizza; it was absolutely delicious! I will definitely be returning soon! The only complaint I had was how under staffed they seemed to be which meant it took longer for our table to have its food delivered. Other than that it was an amazing experience.

I made my first trip out to Grey Goose this past Friday to catch up with some friends from college. Walking in, we were seated right away in the bar area, and I was surprised to see that it wasn’t very crowded, based on its word-of-mouth popularity. Our waitress brought us waters as soon as we were seated along with a wine & beer menu(lots of options– seeing as it’s a bar & all). Because we had gone to dinner to catch up, we were busy gabbing and not taking time to make a selection from the menu; but our waitress was patient with us and didn’t make us feel like we were being rushed. Once we did finally order, our food was brought out in no time. My grilled wedge salad was presented so well, I probably would have taken a picture of it even had I not planned on Unilocal-ing it! I’ve heard great things about Grey Goose’s patio in the warmer months– definitely will be back(probably before then) to try some of their fantastic-sounding pizza.

Grey Goose is a Lexington classic, I enjoy all of the spots Jefferson Street and at Grey Goose you can always find something you like! This Friday I met up with two of my friends from college and we all started off with a glass of wine-the food was amazing! I got a fried chicken finger salad and it’s so big that I got plenty to eat! we had a great time and I never have to wait when coming to eat here, an extra bonus!

We had lunch here, and I can’t imagine why this place wasn’t more packed. The weather was warm and we enjoyed the patio. I had the fish and chips, which were exceptional. Generous portions for lunch! The service was exceptional, and the atmosphere warm and inviting. I’ve not been here for dinner — largely because parking is scarce at night. But this is one of my new favorite places to go for lunch!

Grey Goose has the best patio in town, hands down. The food is always good and is moderately priced. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The parking can be tight but there is an attendant who will help you find a place. He even sometimes will hold spaces for you. You can’t beat the wedge salad!

First time here. Place is full of charm and atmosphere. Nice patio and covered outside dining. Good menu selection of food. Had specialty pizza, bbq chicken homemade sweet bbq sauce Gouda cheese onion and pepperoni. Very tasty and well sized. Enjoyed visit and service was good. Parking a premium down here!

Great atmosphere. We sat in the back patio, which was nice. The pizzas are good but not as sophisticated as one would think given the décor and area. I like that you can get a half salad — I would definitely go back :)

This place has been on my list of restaurants to try for a long time after seeing it on secrets of bluegrass chefs, and I finally got around to trying it. If you want a good piece of pizza, this isn’t your place. I’m not saying the pizza is bad, it isn’t. At the same time it’s not good enough to go there just for the pizza. I also had their home made beer cheese, and I’m left with the same impression. It’s good, I’d eat it again, but i can go to the grocery store and buy better. That’s the reason for the lack of stars. Why would anyone go here? It’s a cool place. The back patio is huge, and mostly in the shade. The covered patio looks like it used to be a horse stable; the big wooden doors are beautiful, as is the rest of the building. As a restaurant, I’m unimpressed, and that’s the general feeling I left with. But as a bar, it’s nice and has decent food. Go in with the right expectations, and you won’t be disappointed.

First, there are two things you need to know before going to this place. Parking can be a little tricky, especially if the parking lot directly across the street is full and all the street parking nearby is packed. Next, and perhaps even more important, is that service here is very slow. You seat yourself, then sometimes it can be 5 – 10 minutes before anyone visits your table. Once you actually get around to placing your meal order, you usually have to wait at least 30 – 40 minutes for the food to arrive. That’s if the place is only somewhat busy. I would hate to see what service is like when it’s actually packed(if that ever happens). Now, for the redeeming factors. The burgers and fries are among the very best in Lexington, and the pizzas are pretty good(when they’re not undercooked). OK, that covers the redeeming factors. Obviously, I’m being somewhat generous by giving this place two stars. If you’re going to go during your lunch hour, you will actually need 90 minutes to get to this restaurant, park, actually get service, and then return to work.

Came to Grey Goose this weekend with some friends who were in town. Our server, Caroline, was one of the rudest servers I had ever had. Between rolling her eyes when we asked to hear the beer list, giving rude looks when we asked about certain dishes, and having to ask THREE times for an ice water, I can honestly say that I will not be back. After over 30 minutes, she finally took our order. We had beer cheese and chicken wings to start which were great. Great pizzas as well. Regardless that we were there over 3 hours, the food was wonderful. It is a shame that such great food is wasted by such horrible service. FIXTHIS.

I love Grey Goose, the restaurant which is not affiliated with the vodka brand… that I know of. I love Jefferson Street even more. If you’re visiting the West Sixth Brewery or the wine market in Jefferson, you can stroll up Jefferson to several different restaurants. Each restaurant is different than the next. I recommend GG if you’re in the mood for pizza. The flat bread pizza here at Grey Goose is excellent. The pesto pizza is also an excellent flat bread pizza option, especially if you’re like me and tomato sauce doesn’t like you very well. They have their own parking lot, it’s a bit small but there is also street side parking all along both sides of Jefferson. Parking shouldn’t be an issue. The patio area is in the back of the restaurant, so there isn’t much of a view of Jefferson Street, which could be a good thing for those who don’t like to people watch while dinning. I’ve only been inside once and it was a bit dark, I’m not sure if that’s a norm or not, but it was too dark for me. So, i usually opt for the patio area, if the weather is permitting.

The artichoke dip is fantastic! This past Friday night I went to the Grey Goose with a group of friends and had the fried chicken salad. It was good, but nothing to write home about. The service was a bit slower than usual. This isn’t a place that I would pick if it were my choice to chose the restaurant, but likewise it isn’t a place that I would protest if chosen by my friends as a meeting spot. It seems that a lot of people like the atmosphere on the patio.
