Creative Expressions Salon

This pretty little salon has a friendly, busy, energetic vibe to it. Its like meeting up with your best girlfriends! I’ve only ever gone there for haircuts & a blow-​dry, but Mathilda is expert at creating my layered, angled Bob. Parking is easy and the staff is efficient.

I moved from Maryland and I wanted to check off one thing out of my bucket list and that was to get highlights. I found this salon through Unilocal and figured since its pretty close and it has parking was a plus. On the day of my appointment I was running late and Sarah was very nice about it. I told her that I was new to the area and that it was my first time getting color in my hair. She listen to all my questions and concerns. When the process started she made me feel comfortable and explained what she was doing. I appreciated that she took the time. Sarah gave my hair a subtle highlights to ease me to the process and cut my hair perfectly. She also gave suggestions how to take care of my hair.
It was my first time going to the salon and the salon was very clean, bright, and has a inviting feeling. Most of all the staff was very friendly. I am happy to have found a salon and an artist :)

I’ve recently moved to the Boston area and it’s always hard finding the right hair dresser, let alone an affordable one too. Not only was I able to schedule an appointment for the day of, but I was greeted and whisked away by the super friendly staff — Sarah. She was so attentive to all of my needs, took her time, and certainly did not rush me what so ever. I’ve been to other hair salons where they don’t give a rats ass about who’s in front of them and what their needs are, as long as they make a buck.
Not only did Sarah listen to my concerns, needs, and took her time, she was able to deliver a fabulous hair cut and I loved how she perfected every chop. Mind you, I have extremely thick and curly hair and yet I was totally able trust Sarah’s skills. She gave me an amazing blowout at the end also! It’s not often you come across a happy, chatty, and attentive hair dresser who knows what she’s doing and still enjoys her passion.
It was my first time going to Creative Expressions, and I’ll surely be returning to see Sarah!

I’ve tried many salons since I moved to Lexington and could never find someone to cut my thick, frizzy hair the way I wanted. I’ve been to Creative Expressions twice now and I couldn’t be more pleased. The salon is clean and attractive, the staff friendly and professional, but most of all Haley is just great at cutting hair. As a bonus she does a terrific job at blow drying and is really nice. I’m just so pleased to find such a talented hairdresser nearby. Thank you, Haley!

The salon itself was so clean and inviting, and all of the employees are pros at what they do. Everyone was so nice! Michelle brought my outgrown highlights back to life, and layered my lifeless fine hair in a way that made it look much much fuller! Overall great experience, will definitely be coming back! I’ve been coming to creative expressions for over 15 years now and it’s like a family when I come in! I go to Sarah who’s done an amazing job on my hair and my girlfriends hair. She always knows the latest trends and listens to what you want and that’s a recipe for a great hair style ! I highly recommend you give creative expressions in Lexington a try !!!

I’ve been going to Creative Expressions for close to 2years now, and before that I had been bouncing around stylists trying to find the right match! Sarah was that match, and I’ve been happy since. She always knows what I’m looking for and recommends colors/​tones that will flatter me most! There used to be a running joke in my family that no one mentioned my hair for a week after my appointment because I ALWAYS hated it. That is not the case anymore, I always walk out of the salon feeling like a beauty queen!
Anytime I walk into the salon someone is there to greet me with a genuine smile. It’s nice to walk in and immediately feel welcome and appreciated. The staff here are all so warm and friendly, you really feel like part of the family. Not to mention how great it is when Sarah and Haley tag team my curls and make me feel like a celeb. Talk about being pampered!

I’ve been going to Creative Expressions for years, and I’ll never go anywhere else! They’re like a family there, Carmen, Annette, Matilda, Haley, Michelle and Sarah… all of them! All great stylists. I personally have been getting my hair done by Sarah for a long time, and she always knows how to make my hair look the best! I have relatively fine hair, but Sarah knows how to cut and style it so it looks its fullest. I’m also trying to get my hair to grow long and stay healthy, she has a great handle on which products to use to keep it growing. I’ve had my hair colored there numerous times, and Sarah always knows what colors and tones to suggest that go best with my skin tone and natural hair color. I recommend Sarah for all your color and styling needs! Will never go anywhere else!

Haley does a fantastic job! Very thorough when explaining what she’s going to do. I always feel confident knowing Haley is working on my hair!

Best haircut (s) and styling I’ve ever had. Haley is my go to gal! I actually got my hair cut and my normal blow-​dry combo that I get done before my best friends wedding and I got an insane amount of compliments on my hair!
Haley knows what she’s doing and I completely trust her when it comes to handling my cabeza! She’s also incredibly sweet. Everyone in there is! The price is well worth the service and the outcome result. Highly recommend this spot to anyone in the area– you won’t be let down!

I’m new to the area and needed to have my unruly curly, thin and baby fine hair styled. I put having it done off because I have been sent home looking like Bozo sometimes and St Francis others when in search for a new stylist. Preparing for a vacation, I had to take the leap. Of course, I checked out Unilocal first and when I saw this close by salon had such great reviews, I asked for an appt on Friday and when they had a cancellation, booked for Saturday. Michelle did a fantastic job of not only cutting my hair (which has to be done so very carefully when its so fine) but understood my curls and worked with them. I’m very happy with the cut, the attention and helpful hints.
Yep, I found my new «hair place»!

I used to come in here for only haircuts and they’ve always turned out great — layers came out perfect and my hair felt very healthy. This time, I decided to give my hair a change and put some color in it. I am beyond happy with the way it turned out, Sarah did an INCREDIBLE job!!! I just can’t say enough good things about the cut and color that Sarah gave me. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

AMAZING!!! Michelle was incredible at blending my layers, refreshing my dull hair, and the styling she did afterwards made me feel like a million bucks. The salon was gorgeous inside and everyone was really nice. I’ll definitely be a repeat customer!

Haley is Amazing!!! Came in with frizzy hair pulled back in a messy bun and left with a sassy brown and copper bouncy layered cut! I trusted her from the moment we met! Best hair cut I have ever had! Haley did a gorgeous cut, color and style and I’ll surely be back. I was in town visiting family from Maryland and I’m already planning to come back to visit my parents in 8 weeks and get my hair touched up!

I found Creative Expressions on Unilocal and decided to give it a shot, since I don’t have a go-​to salon. The whole experience was great! I called on a Friday for a Saturday appointment and they were all booked up, but offered to open 45 mins earlier than usual just to see me. When I got there, the receptionist and everyone else was super friendly and welcoming. Haley cut my hair and did a great job — she gave me exactly what I asked for and it came out great. She was super nice and easy to talk to. The environment here is also very nice — it’s bright and extremely clean. I signed up for the email updates and got $ 20 off, so it was a great deal. I will definitely return for the quality cut and just general good experience!

I normally never write a review but this place was amazing! From the time I called to make an appointment to when I left the salon they were so so helpful! My hair is pretty dark and I have been wanting to lighten it for years but typically when I ask for highlights I get some darker brown ones that I can barely see and not to mention the price I paid was crazy. Haley did such an amazing job! I showed her one photo and she gave my exactly what I wanted :)! Such beautiful highlights, with amazing color and just the right placement so it still looks natural and not tacky. So grateful to have found this place most definitely will be going back and sending friends over ! :)

I found Creative Expressions Salon on Unilocal and read such great reviews that I knew I had to give it a try.
I recently went to Newbury Street to get my hair cut but decided to try a salon closer to home. I was a tad bit nervous since my former salon was the best of the best. Unfortunately, my former salon didn’t truly live up to all the hype.
From the moment I walked into Creative Expressions, the front desk staff was amazingly welcoming. The interior of the salon was bright and cheerful and Carmen, my stylist, did an outstanding job in gently guiding me to a style that was in keeping with my face, yet more modern and sophisticated.
I absolutely LOVED this little gem of a salon and will be returning for many more years to come! Also, it’s an added bonus that the salon has onsite parking, with easy access into Lexington and Route 128.
What a great experience!

Came in here on a Saturday afternoon to get my hair done because 1. My hair stylist was unavailable and 2. I am lazy and don’t like to blow dry and curl my own hair!
Hailey (i think was her name) did an AWESOME job curling my hair-​she gave me loose beach curls yesterday morning and they still look great the next day.
It was clean, cute, and everyone was friendly. Definitely check them out for a hair style or eve a cut and color!
