IHOP

A decent place for a cheap breakfast and the occasional good deal. Staff are quick and attentive, and can usually carry a good conversation when it’s not too busy. Unfortunately, the food itself isn’t that great, which is a major down side. I am not sure if its the cooks or the recipes, but believe me when I say its meh at best. Id chose another place if given the option.

I haven’t been to iHop in awhile but the special promotion that kids eat free with the purchase of an entrée from 4pm-​10pm enticed me to want to dine here. After placing our entrée orders, our waiter tells me that the kids meals will not be free due to us not ordering beverages. Really? He couldn’t have told me this earlier when we said we wanted waters to drink? No where on the advertisement does it mention that a beverage must also be purchased with the entrée. He then mentions that he is able to give us only one free kids meal but each entrée must purchase a beverage. I get that a beverage doesn’t really cost much, but honor your promotion or add that a beverage must also be purchased with each entrée in the fine print.
Not a very relaxing dining experience. Won’t be coming back to this location.

Sunday at 10 a.m. before the church crowd. My wife and I were told 5 – 10 minutes before we could sit at our table. 20 minutes later we were brought to a booth that could comfortably fit a party of 4, walking past a couple settings for 2 people. There were groups of 4 waiting for a table, but whomever was assigning seats apparently had a difficult time sitting people in appropriate tables efficiently.
By the time we sat down, our server immediately acknowledged us, but spoke very poor English. We asked for OJ and water, and later placed our order. That was challenging, because we had to find other ways to ask for things like «eggs fried hard» and «skim milk». I later learned this iHOP only serves 2% and rather than bringing it out with our meal like we asked, he brought it out immediately.
In the time it took for us to place our order and recieve our food, the couple next to us asked for their check, paid it, a new couple sat down, ordered their food, and finished a couple cups of coffee, recieved their food, and ate half of it.
More than 20 minutes after placing our order (I timed it), we finally recieved our breakfast. The order was correct, but my silverware still had food on it from a previous customer. I then started eating and noticed a long black hair on my bacon (I’m bald). I sent them back and the server returned and asked if I wanted to speak to the manager. Rather than coming to us on his own, he sent our server to address the issue.
We declined, realizing it’s not our server’s fault. Another manager then approached us and took my meal off of our check and gave us coupons for our next visit.
Overall, a poor experience. Our server was very nice and hard-​working, but clearly his leadership is lacking and his support at the hostess and kitchen levels are sub-​standard.

You like hash browns? Ask for Grant. He’s the only one that can give you want you need. Grant Grant Grant. He needs a promotion. Or needs to teach someone that hashbrowns should be actually cooked. #Grant4life

The only positive I can say about this IHOP is that, nope. Nothing positive about this place. 5 out of 5 meals that we ordered were bad. Cold eggs, undercoated eggs (white egg goop) rock hard Belgian waffles, and cold pancakes covered with one warm one. I’ve had to add a one note entry to remind myself that the 20 minutes to another IHOP is worth the gas. This is not a good place to eat. Not even the coffee was hot. A real disappointment.

I’d give it zero stars if possible. This morning my husband found a cockroach inside his pancakes. It must’ve been cooked with the batter because it was inside the pancake along the outer edge. Management apologized for the «inconvenience», said they didn’t know how it got there & comped 50% of our ticket. Never again will I eat there. I urge you to use caution when eating there, if you choose to eat there again.

Sorry but they do serve cockroaches with their pancakes… this one fell from the ceiling right next to my pancakes… wonder how many are in the ceiling? beware! Horrific experience… do not eat here! Used to be decent but not anymore…

Coffee was bad, tasted like Palmolive… And for some reason oily??? Our waiter (Grant) was MIA for a decent amount of time… I waited 20 mins just for him to come get my check.

This place really really needs to be remodeled… the booths are in horrible condition… new food is great but not when you sink into the booth seats!!!

The waitress put our plates on the table and a cock roach came across the table! Not worthy of 1 star!

I just love this place. every waitress I’ve ever dealt with has just been outstanding and super friendly… we go on Sundays after church and even when it’s crazy busy the staff is just wonderful! I feel sorry for them at times they seemed very overworked but I’ve never had anything but great food and great service. I lived in NJ and this location kicks butt compared to others I’ve been too

today for breakfast me and the wife went to ihop, It has good food sometimes, I love the pancakes but that like impossible to mess up. The prices are reasonable, but the service is kinda lacking but i just believe today my server was having a bad day. He forgot my toast, and some other things were off, the food was good except the tbone steak, was kinda old and frozen, you can tell from the color. overall ihop is good for pancakes waffles and eggs the rest is kinda of pushing it

On Monday, the 22 of Sept. in the early morning, I went with a friend to have breakfast at IHOP, which we do quite often. I suffered an illness after eating, must say NOT FROM THE FOOD, which was excellent. I am writing this to let you know how your people there responded to this. They did everything to make me comfortable, taking the time to bring me orange juice and water and waiting with my friend and helping me into her car. I do not know the peoples name but I would like to let them know and let the company know ow much I appreciated it. I did spend time in the hospital, now out and feeling fine, Will be in for breakfast soon.

You never Leave here with an empty stomach. The food is great and the servers are great all around. The bottomless coffee pot is great when you are tired and need that caffeine jolt. January is always all-​you-​can-​eat pancakes month and the pancakes are always piping hot.
Tell your friends and family IHOP is the best

Just had a breakfast dinner here. If you get a waiter named Alex immediately ask for a new waiter. The guy acts like he’s high and he doesn’t listen. We asked for things and he would repeat them and then bring the wrong thing.

I love pancakes and usually love IHOP but I went for lunch today and it was really bad. I guess there have been some changes recently. The hash-​browns used to be awesome but now they are obviously pre made, frozen pop-​tart shaped patties that are deep fried and they are disgusting. My scrambled eggs tasted like they were cooked in butter it was really unappetizing. Fortunately the pancakes we awesome. Don’t know if I’ll ever order anything but pancakes from IHOP anymore.

It’s been a while since I’ve update my review here. I’ve been back a bunch of times since and never had issues.
This last trip I was in the mood for breakfast and dinner. So what did I get? Chicken fried steak on the breakfast menu. With this you get pancakes hash browns, and eggs. How can you go wrong with that? With the dinner you get mashed potatoes and veggies. Bla. If I’m gonna carb out, it’s going to be the breakfast version.
Funny thing is, my wife got the same thing. Kiddies ordered off the kids menu.
Our server was attentive and friendly. Was always there to check on us and fill drinks. Chicken fried steak hit the spot.

All Sysco truck food, surly service, but load of fun people watching. I am not a fan of the food, but I will go here late at night after an evening of drinks at the bar.

As others have said, IHOP is IHOP. They do seem to have particularly good pancakes at the Leesburg store, though. Nice wait staff, friendly. The restaurant itself could use a bit of sprucing up. It is kind of dingy inside.

It’s IHOP! Standard fare, decent food, great prices. No different than any other IHOP. I give then snaps (and stars) for being open all the time. Great place to stop when traveling from Dulles Airport to home after those late night flights. Can’t go wrong especially if you stick to breakfast menu!
