Cosentino’s should be applauded for making a substantial investment in the Lee’s Summit/Lakewood community with a great store ! The expanded store has a first class wine & liquor selection area with frequent tastings– good meat and bakery section. The salad bar is a healthy option for a quick lunch or dinner options. The only thing I would improve is the sit down eating area — needs updated and more signage as to breakfast, lunch options to order. Employees are using the same area for meals/breaks with sometimes more than 50% of the seats taken by staff. I have had issues with the pharmacy but the manager has assured me staff changes have been made to improve service and accountability in that department.

With the recent remodeling and parking lot improvements, Price Chopper is one of the best grocery stores around. The prices are competitive with weekly ads making a good deal even better; the store is clean and bright; selection is outstanding; employees are always eager to help; location is easy to get in and out; and the new health food section is great.

I went there to get a few bottles of wine bcuz now the liquor section is humongous! I needed a corkscrew and a couple glasses too. It was a letdown. I couldnt find not even one type of corkscrew or any glassware. Really? This place has a ton of wine but nothing for accessories. Sad face I was gonna get some brie cheese as well but that was all the way on the other side of the store. They should dedicate one fridge door to wine pairings, that would leave them with 39 other doors to fill still. I like this place, they have alot of things but it could of been a better experience. I was then forced to make another stop and goto Hyvee on 3rd st. I’d stop at this PC for wine still in the future, just hope i have a corkscrew handy.

As much as Price Chopper may(or may not) try to be like their competition, I am just a Hy-Vee kind of a girl. That said, I force myself to visit this Price Chopper often as it’s literally right down the street from my house, whereas the nearest Hy-Vee is a 10-minute drive one way. I try to see the good in this store: the cleanliness, the vast and bright parking lot, the large facility… eh… the Red Box at the entrance? I dunno, every time I am here I leave feeling completely uninspired. The whole place always feels boring, sterile, and uncreative. The staff don’t seem that happy; the signage is boring and the prices aren’t competitive; the selection doesn’t inspire me to cook — or even eat. Not that food is molding or anything — but the merchandise isn’t all that cheap(even with the frequent buyer keychain card thing) and the staff just aren’t friendly. So if you see me walking through this place, you know that the oven is on and I am missing an ingredient or that I’ve lost my way. OR — almost forgot — to recycle glass. They do have a large Ripple collection truck thing at the foot of their parking lot. It’s the little things.

This store is clean, well light, and well stocked. I only go to this store when I need to pick something up in a quick manner. If I need a can of beans, a few eggs, or an onion in a hurry, then I stop by this Price Chopper. It is not as good as any of the Hy-vee stores in town, and I always go to Hy-vee when I have a list longer than five items.
