I love the place. Recommended it to friends and it has become a destination for 2 groups of friends when getting together. Comfy couches and chairs, wide array of drink choices, great food — appetizers I have seen nowhere else. Great, courteous staff.

This place is awesome. The beer is cold, the food is good, and the staff is perfect. What more could you want?

The most poorly run establishment I’ve ever been to. Some friends and I sat at the bar. I asked if the bartender had a list of their beers and the bartender laughed and looked at me like I was stupid. I assumed being a tavern they had some good craft beer bottles I couldn’t see, then I noticed later in the food menu it says«ask about our large beer selection» …I ordered a bacon bbq burger. The bun on the burger was microwaved. I couldn’t bite through the chewy bread. It reminded me of when I had frozen buns at home and attempted to dethaw them only to be left with un edible bread. 15 minutes later some Texas toast comes out to eat and u that time the cheddar on my preformed patty is rock hard. Someone asked for Tennessee honey and hey were out, at which point I noticed almost all the liquors they had behind the bar were empty. Terrible old preformed food, un stocked bar, wish I could give it a half star. To top it off bartender had a tech n9ne cd in, which is fine, until the 7th tech song in a row comes on and I feel like someone was drillin a screwdriver into my skull.

Oh how the mighty have fallen. When Doc’s first opened it was great, but over time it’s really dropped off. A great idea, with good food and service — the food’s become so-so(fewer menu choices, quality down hill) and even the friendly fast service has gone. I wish it were’t so, but sadly it is.

My fiancé and I went to Doc’s for the first time last night and we were kicking ourselves for not going sooner. The furniture and décor are very comfy and cozy. I love that they keep games under all of the coffee tables. The juke box provides some good music to drink and relax to. It’s a great place to watch a game. The food was awesome! Seriously some of the best chicken nachos I’ve ever had. I loved the queso and guacamole. The service was great and the staff was friendly. Definitely going to become a hang out spot for us!

Recently opened off of Route 291 in Lee’s Summit, Doc’s Tavern does a wonderful job of creating an intimate comfortable setting to enjoy food and drink in Lee’s Summit. Accommodations allow for smoking inside of the pool room that is separate from the rest of the bar and dining area. The lounge area is comfortable and warm with large plush couches and leather chairs. The dining area is also very comfortable with tables spaced far enough away from one another to give each table room enough to talk without yelling at one another. The bar has a wonderful selection of beer, wine, and spirits. The happy hour is very reasonable and is from 2pm-5pm. Bartenders and wait staff are friendly and very attentive, but not annoying like some places. The menu is simple but has many classics you might expect from a bar menu. The burgers are good sized and are lean beef so you will get a healthy sized burger. DONOT miss the reuben egg rolls on the appetizer menu, I wasn’t sold on them but after trying them they are wonderful. There is plenty of parking and the lot is well lit. Don’t miss out on this new spot, something tells me it will be around for a long time.
